Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore, if thine enemy is hungry, then feed him; if he is thirsty, then give him something to drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:19-21

Revenge is for the Lord, and He always repays. So fret not thyself when the wicked prosper, for they are on a banana and do not know what corner they will slip at. So feed your enemy, give him water to drink, and by so doing you put coals of fire on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil by doing good works to the Father in heaven.  Our Heavenly Father will reward us openly for loving the unlovely, being kind to the ungodly, and by so doing we prove that we are the true children of God.

  • #Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as lieth in you, live at peace with all men, Romans 12:16-18

Thank God that the Apostle Paul gives the guidelines for Christians to treat those outside of the Body of Christ, as well as those inside the Body of Christ. We must have the same mind, one toward another. Never mind high things or despise the day of small things. Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not unto your understanding. So never repay evil for evil, but bless those who curse you, pray for those who despitefully use you. As much as is possible within you, live at peace with all men. For without holiness, no man will see the Lord. Thank God for people, for God uses all people, small and large, to bless us. So give thanks to God for them and share your blessing with the needy, not the greedy. All things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose.

  • #Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love, in honour preferring one another: No slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Distributing to the necessity of the saints; given to hospitality. Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Rejoice with them that do rejoice and weep with them that weep. Romans 12:9-15

Paul is exhorting the Roman Christians on the attributes of Christian behavior in the midst of persecution. Our love must be without dissimulation, which means it must be real. Not in words only, but in deeds. If you say you love God whom you cannot see, while you hate your brother whom you do see, that is false love. Bless those who persecute you. Again bless and curse not. Weep with those who weep, while we rejoice with those who rejoice. When we do these things, we show that we are the true children of God. For if you only love those who love you, do not the heathen do those things. Jesus said by this, Love, ye will know that ye are my disciples by the love that you have one for another.

  • #So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and everyone members, one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching. Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness. Romans. 12:5-8

Paul is explaining the degree of gifts that is given to the members of the body of Christ according to the Holy Spirit. Prophecy is the greatest gift, yet it is to be done according to the measure of faith given by the Holy Spirit. Yet all of us has been given a gift by the Holy Spirit that is to be used for the glory of God, by the power of His word. Mercy is a gift, that we often fail to use appropriately. We are to use that gift with cheerfulness. For whosoever shows mercy, shall receive mercy. So thank God that He has placed us in the body of Christ to complete our role as fruit bearers.

  • #I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:1,2

Paul is pleading with the Romans, to present their bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, and acceptable unto God. This is the only reasonable service that we as Christians can do. God is holy, and He demands that we be holy. Be at peace with all men, and follow holiness, for without holiness, no man will see the Lord. The Holy Spirit makes us holy. As we submit to His power in our lives, then we are renewed in our minds, and transformed into the image of Christ. This is the will of God, that we abstain from sexual immorality and present our bodies holy in the sight of God. Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, but adulterers and fornicators, God will judge. When we live a holy life, being faithful to our spouse is natural, and honorable for us to do.

  • #For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: Even so have these also now believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that He might have mercy upon all. O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out. For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been His consellor? Or who hath first given to Him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? For of Him and through Him and to Him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen! Romans 11:30-36

Paul is sharing with the Gentiles, that because of the unbelief of the Jews, mercy has been extended to all. For God will have mercy upon whom He will have mercy, and compassion upon whom He will have compassion. No one could know the mind of God, for as high as the heavens are above the earth, so are the ways of God above our ways. We must give thanks in all things, and sing His praises for He alone is worthy of all our praises and glory Amen.

  • #Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spares not thee. Behold, therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity, but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in His goodness: otherwise thou shalt be cut off. For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. Romans 11:19-22,29

Paul has warned the Greeks to not to take the grace of God for granted. Israel is the natural branches, and because of their unbelief, they were cut off. So do not think that God will not cut off the Gentiles because of their unbelief as well. Thank the Lord for the gifts and calling, which are without repentance. God is not slack, as men count slackness, not willing that any would perish, but that all would come to repentance. Praise God for His goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

  • #I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid, but rather through their fall salvation  is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness? Romans 11:11,12

Israel is in blindness partly because of the salvation for the Gentiles. For they stumbled, that the wild olive shoot could be engrafted into the vine. The Gentiles are the wild olive shoot, and their salvation was made possible because Israel rejected the Messiah. Now if their falling away means salvation unto the Gentiles, what more will happen when they are brought into covenant relationship with the Father. That is the purpose of the Tribulation, referred to as Jacob's trouble. For God will turn His attention unto Israel once the Church age is complete. They will mourn over Him, and when they say blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord, they will be saved from all their enemies.

  • #I say then, Hath God cast away His people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God hath not cast away His people which He foreknew. Know ye not what scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying, Lord they have killed thy prophets, and dug down thine altars and I am left alone, and they seek my life. But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. Romans 11:1-5

Paul is pointing out that God has saved seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. Even so, God has a remnant according to the doctrine of grace as the elect of God. Just before the coming of the Day of the Lord, He will send Elias to turn the hearts of the children unto their fathers. We must be in prayer for our loved ones to turn to faith in God, and repentance toward the Lord Jesus Christ so that a time of refreshing shall come upon His people. Israel will be saved, even though they will go through the time of Jacob's trouble. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for they shall prosper who do so. May the Lord bless all those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel.

  • #For whosoever shall call upon the name  of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they are sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! Romans 10:13-15

Paul is expounding upon the most important truth of scriptures, in that, whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. When God said whosoever, He included me. If salvation had come by man, then he would have restricted it only to those people he loved. Yet God commended His love for us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Now the vessel used to get the gospel to mankind is sent by God. How can he preach, except the Lord sends him? How beautiful are those who preach the gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things? I praise God for the gospel, for by it I am saved, sanctified, and sealed unto the day of my redemption.
