A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

Just as the Baby Lord Jesus grew in favor with Yahweh and men, Samuel grew in favor with Yahweh and men. Celebrate Christmas with family and friends thinking about the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. For in Him, we live, move, and have our being.

Jehovah blessed Hannah for being faithful, in the midst of an unfaithful relationship. This is one reason why polygamy does not work. God has commanded that every man has his own wife, and every woman her own husband. We see Eli, who had two sons who should have walked into the ministry, were scoundrels and caused great disgrace upon the ministry. Samuel as a child was just what was needed to call the nation back to God. How America needs a Hannah and a Samuel to rise up and call America to repentance. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.
#He raises up the poor out of the dust, and lifts up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD's, and He hath set the world upon them. I Sam. 2:8
Our God Jehovah is a consuming fire. He is a buckler to the poor. We are in the generation that is trying to wipe the poor off the face of the earth. It will not succeed, for our God will come to our defense. So praise Him today, for He is worthy of all our praises.
#There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God. I Sam. 2:2 Jehovah is our rock, and there is no rock like our God. He is our Jehovah Jireh and provides for all our needs.

The answer is no, in the Old Testament it was allowed because Yahweh winked at it. but in Acts 17 God has commanded all to repent for there is coming a day when we will be judged by the man Christ Jesus.
#For this child I prayed and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of Him: Therefore, also I have lent him to the LORD as he lives he shall be lent to the LORD, and he worshiped the LORD there. I Sam. 1:27,28 May we be in awe of what Hannah has done and worship Yahweh for who He is and what He has done in our lives. Samuel was the greatest prophet Israel has known. He stood as a priest before the Lord all the days of his life. To God be all the glory.
#But Hannah went not up; for she said unto her husband, I will not go up until the child is weaned, and then I will bring him, that he may appear before the LORD, and there abide forever. I Sam. 1:22
Praise God for the faithfulness of Hannah, and her desire to raise a man of God. Mothers, let Hannah's example inspire you.

I Sam. 18:7 This thing greatly distressed Saul that the women only ascribed thousands to him and ten thousand to David. When we are envious of the success of others, then we are not walking in the wisdom that comes from above. For God is love, and we delight in helping others, as well as being glad when they succeed. David behaved himself wisely and because of that, he was blessed. Let us give thanks for the fear of the Lord leads us to wisdom. Fear the Lord as David did, and that leaves no one else to fear.
#And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house and David played with his hand, as at other times, and there was a javelin in Saul's hand. I Sam. 18:10 We can ask the question does mental illness come from God? I struggle with this question because it said that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul. We know that God does not tempt us with evil. So why is King Saul being afflicted with this evil spirit? I believe because Saul is rejected as being king because of his rebellion, and God has allowed this evil spirit to overcome him. The Lord shows mercy to him by allowing David, the future king, to comfort him by playing the harp with his hands. This tells us that music therapy is a great way to help those who are struggling with mental illness. We need to help people to know that the right kind of music therapy is what is needed. It takes skillful hands and an obedient heart to help people overcome the stress of their mental illness.
#Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. James 2:18 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead too. Therefore, have faith in God and produce works worthy of repentance.
