Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beast of the field and with the fowls of heaven and with the creeping things of the ground and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth and will make them lie down safely. And I will betroth thee to me forever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness and in judgment and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness and thou shalt know the LORD. Hosea 2:18-20

Gomer will become a covenant keeping wife. In her repentance, she will be betrothed in righteousness, judgment, loving kindness, and mercy. This is also a spiritual picture of the nation Israel. In that day denotes the Day of the Lord, when Yeshua shall make peace in the kingdom, and the bow, and sword will be no more in battle. They will lie down safely together. Gomer will become a faithful wife and will know Jehovah Shalom. What a glorious time this will be when the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ.

  • #And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now. Hosea 2:7

Gomer is in for a rude awakening, as one who left her first love. All of her lovers will abandon her and leave her all alone. Then she will see that it was better for her with her first husband. That is what Yeshua said to the Ephesian Church, I have one thing against you, that you have left your first love. Repent and do the former works and the Lord will take you back. Buy gold, tried in the fire so that you can buy eye salve so that you can see who truly loves you and return to your first husband.

  • #Say ye unto your brethren, Ammi and to your sisters Ruhamah, Plead with your mother, plead: for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: let her, therefore, put away the whoredoms out of her sight and her adulteries from between her breasts; Lest I strip her naked and set her as in the day that she was born and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land and slay her with thirst, Hosea 2:1-3

Gomer is given a stern warning by Hosea, that as long as she is playing the harlot, she is not his wife, and he is not her husband. He tells the children to speak with their mother, lest he strips her naked as in the day she was born, to put away her adulteries from between her breast. The eye gate is the first place that adultery takes place. Yeshua said if a man looks at a woman with lust in his eyes, then he has committed adultery. Gomer is making it easy by exposing her breast. This is so important for women to be modest in their dress, so as not to be a stumblingblock for some weak minded men. Hosea will not have mercy on the children born from this whoredom.  Gomer will have to be weaned, of her lovers to stop her adulterous behavior. Hosea warns she will die of thirst in the wilderness if she does not repent of her ways.

  • #Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God. Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together and appoint themselves one head and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel. Hosea 1:10,11

God will have mercy on the children of Judah and in the last days, the children of Judah shall be gathered with the children of Israel, the Northern tribes. Yeshua shall roar out of Zion and the mount of olives shall split open, great shall be the victory in Jezreel. The children of Israel shall be as the sands of the sea, and Jehovah shall be called the living God. The Lion of the tribe of Judah shall prevail and righteousness shall be on the bells of the horses. What a glorious time this will be, for there will be peace in the valley and they will study war no more. The nations shall go up to Jerusalem to celebrate the feast of tabernacles yearly.

  • #The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the LORD. So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived and bare him a son. Hosea 1:2,3

Hosea obeys the highest God Jehovah by taking Gomer to wife. This was an amazing thing, for the land had committed whoredoms, and now Hosea can identify with Israel by having Gomer as his wife. This was a marriage doomed to failure, but God told Hosea to marry Gomer so that Hosea could understand how Israel had forsaken Jehovah the fountain of living waters, for broken cisterns. No father would want his son to be hurt by an unfaithful wife. Yet the Heavenly Father, Jehovah will make a good wife out of Gomer after she has committed her whoredoms. The three children that are born of whoredoms: Jezreel, the son meaning God will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu. The daughter: Loruhamah: for I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel. The last son: Loammi: for ye are not my people. Jehovah gave all the children a name to remind them of their mother's whoredoms. God is utterly angry at Israel for committing spiritual adultery. So stay with me in the Book of Hosea as we go through the life and times of Gomer, and how Hosea loved an unfaithful wife, who would become a faithful wife.

  • #Now if Timotheus comes, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord as I do. I Cor.16:10

Paul has just exhorted the Macedonians on giving and doing all things on love. Now Timotheus is doing the work of the Lord, and Paul was concerned that he is not fearful. This is what led him to write God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. IITim 1:7 It is great when we put this in practice and doing the work of the Lord can be such great joy.

  • #Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us and let us run with patience the race before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Heb. 12:1,2

Let us look to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. Just like Joseph was able to forgive his brethren all the evil they had committed against him. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. Forgive others, just as God for Christ sake has forgiven us.

  • #So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren and their sin, for they did unto thee evil and now we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him. And his brethren also went and fell down before his face and they said Behold, we, thy servants. And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God? But as for you, ye thought evil against me, but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save many people alive. Now, therefore, fear ye not: I will nourish you and your little ones. And he comforted them and spoke kindly unto them. Gen. 50:17-21

Joseph completely forgives his brethren of the evil that they did unto him. Just as Yeshua on the cross said Father forgive them, for they know not what they do. Joseph speaks kindly to his brethren, which tells us when you completely forgive people, the tone of your voice should be that of kindness. We are prone to forgive, but harbor grudges. That is not true forgiveness. Joseph knows that Yahweh has sent him to Egypt to save many lives, and it took all of the sufferings that Joseph had to endure to accomplish that task. Be not weary in good works, for ye shall reap, if ye faint not. For Joseph did not faint, and he reaped the good deeds of all of his sufferings. This is a marvelous example for you and for me in our present day of sufferings. Do not lash out at those who brought about the sufferings, but look at God for allowing it to happen. This too shall pass as it did for Joseph, and the joy of the morning will follow the weeping in the night. So Joseph lived 110 years, saw three generations of his grandchildren and was buried in Egypt. Before his death, he had the children of Israel to promise to carry his bones back to Canaan when God would visit them in Egypt with a mighty deliverance. We will see Joseph in heaven and then we can ask him how he learned to forgive the way the Lord commands all of us to forgive, without being bitter towards those whom we have forgiven. This is my favorite story in the Bible and I hope that you have been blessed by it.

  • #And Joseph fell upon his father's face and wept over him and kissed him. And Joseph commanded his servants the physicians to embalm his father and the physicians embalmed Israel. And forty days were fulfilled for him; for so are the days of those which are embalmed and the Egyptians mourned for him threescore and ten days, Gen. 50:1-3

Joseph pours out his heart weeping for his father and the Egyptians mourned 70 days, which was admirable. Joseph had doctors to immediately embalm his father Israel. The Egyptians were masters of this science and that is how the Israelites learned about embalming and preparing mummified bodies. This was very important as the Lord Jesus Christ after His death on the cross was mummified by Joseph of Arimathea. This was very important because Psalm 16 said that our Lord would not see corruption, so this knowledge was paramount to Israelites. Praise God for Pharaoh being an honorable man, and allowed Joseph to go to Canaan land were Israel had prepared a grave for his burial. Thus Joseph was able to fulfill his promise to his father Israel.

  • #Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies, thy father's children shall bow down before thee. Judah is a lion's whelp: from prey, my son, thou art has gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion and as an old lion, who shall rouse him up? The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come and unto him shall the gathering of the people be. Gen. 49:8-10

Israel has given the prophecy of Yeshua that shall come from the tribe of Judah. The Lion of the tribe of Judah will prevail and take the title deed of this world back from Satan, whom Adam handed over to him in the Garden of Eden. Every eye shall see him and every knee shall bow and confess that He is Lord to the glory of God the Father. The earth shall be filled with the knowledge of God and the law shall proceed from Israel as the rivers cover the earth. This prophecy shall be fulfilled in the Day of the Lord when the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ.
