Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #And king David said, call me Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada. And they came before the king. The king said unto them, take with you the servants of your lord and cause Solomon, my son, to ride upon mine own mule and bring him down to Gihon: And let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him there, king over Israel and blow ye with the trumpet and say, God, save king Solomon. I Kings1:32-34

King David is faithful to his word to Bathsheba and has Solomon anointed king of Israel. The goodness of the Lord can be seen in the life of Solomon and he is blessed for having such a godly father, king David, and mother, Bathsheba. Train up a child, the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart.

  • #Then king David answered and said, call me Bathsheba. And she came into the king's presence and stood before the king. And the king swore and said, as the LORD liveth, that hath redeemed my soul out of all distress, Even as I sware unto thee by the LORD God of Israel, saying, assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me and he shall sit upon my throne in my stead; even so will I certainly do this day. Then Bathsheba bowed with her face to the earth and did reverence to the king and said, let my lord king David live forever. I Kings 1:28-31

King David assures Bathsheba that Solomon shall reign after him. And queen Bathsheba bowed with her face to the earth, which was a sign of respect for the king and said to the king to live forever, which was the greatest word to say to the king. Abishag has done a great job of nursing king David back to health and he is no longer cold. He can think correctly as well as rule the kingdom well in his final days.

  • #And Bathsheba bowed and did obeisance unto the king into the chamber and the king was very old and Abishag the Shunammite ministered unto the king. I Kings 1:15

This passage tells us that Bathsheba is going into the king while Abishag the Shunammite woman ministered to him. This passage would tell us that Abishag was like a nurse unto him, something that the Queen could not do for him, so king David is still in good stead with Bathsheba as she is pleading for her son Solomon to be the king when David dies.

  • #Now king David was old and stricken in years, and they covered him with clothes, but he got no heat, Wherefore his servants said unto him, let there be sought for my lord the king a young virgin and let her stand before the king and let her cherish him and let her lie in thy bosom, that my lord the king may get heat. So they sought for a fair damsel throughout all the coasts of Israel and found Abishag a Shunammite and brought her to the king. And the damsel was very fair and cherished the king and ministered to him, but the king knew her not. I Kings 1:1-4

Abishag was a Shunammite woman, who was wealthy and beautiful, very respected in Israel. She was selected to lie with king David in his old age. The Bible says he knew her not, which means he did not have sexual relations with her. This was a holy relationship for Abishag and mirrors what some women do to hug men who are lonely. This is a needed service for so many divorced and separated men today who find themselves without a companion. May God bless all the women that perform this much-needed service to society.

  • #And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in the earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you and Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matt. 28:18-20

Jesus has just given the disciples the great commission and now that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, go and be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Be sure to go to bible study so that you may learn more about Jesus and His commandments. Use your talents for the glory of God and the advancement of His kingdom. Be a witness on your job and as you walk through the concaves of life. For this same Jesus shall so return as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

  • #In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulcher. And behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning. and his raiment white as snow, And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here for He is risen, as He said, Come and see the place where the Lord lay. Matt. 28:1-6

The Heavenly Father has just raised Jesus from the dead, and He sent His angel to roll back the stone to let the women in to see the place where the Lord lay. Interesting that the women were the first to go to the empty tomb where the Lord lay. Celebrate Jesus today, for He has risen just as He said. Have faith in God and turn from your sins to new life in Jesus Christ. Then Jesus said unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee and there shall they see me. When they went to tell the disciples Jesus said All hail, and they came and worshiped him holding His feet. We will spend eternity at the feet of Jesus praising Him for the resurrection,

  • #Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can. So they went and made the sepulcher sure, sealing the stone and setting a watch. Matt. 27:65,66

God is making sure there will be indisputable evidence for the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, as the chief priest said the deceiver told everyone He would rise again the third day, so God is giving them the proof that they need.

  • #When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple. Matt. 27:57

Joseph demanded the body of Jesus so that he could prepare it for burial. Pilot agreed and Jesus was prepared for burial in the garden tomb with the rich to fulfill scripture. As Jesus had said the only sign would be the Son of a man three days in the heart of the earth, just as Jonas was three days in the belly of the whale. Jesus took captivity captive and gave gifts to men and He preached to those in Hades, while He transferred Abraham's bosom to Paradise.

  • #And they crucified Him, and parted His garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them and upon my vesture did they cast lots. Matt. 27:35

Jesus knowing that all things had been completed and that it was time for Him to return to the Father, said it is finished, and gave up the ghost. There was a great earth quake and every rock was rent in two. Thank God that Jesus did not come down from that cross, for He decided to stay there because He loved you and me. Every time you look at a rock look for the crack that reminds us of the crucifixion.

  • #For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But after I have risen again, I will go before you into Galilee. Then said He unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death; tarry ye here and watch with me. And He went a little further, and fell on His face and prayed, saying O my Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matt.26:32,38,39,41 Jesus has had the Passover supper, and the woman with the alabaster jar has anointed His feet. He has gone to Gethsemane, where the disciples have fallen asleep on him. Watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation. Now the hour has come for the Son of man to be glorified.
