Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #And three times in a year did Solomon offer burnt offerings and peace offerings upon the altar which he built unto the LORD and he burnt incense upon the altar that was before the LORD. So he finished the house. I Kings 9:25

Solomon offered burnt offerings and peace-offering to Jehovah while he finished building the house of the Lord. We see the dedication Solomon had to Jehovah to praise Him and give Him all the glory for building the house. Just like we must give Jesus all the glory for our temples and make sure we are living holy lives.

  • #But Pharaoh's daughter came up out of the city of David unto her house which Solomon had built for her: then he built Millo. I Kings 9:24 Happy Mother's Day as we think where would we be without mothers? Solomon had Bathsheba, who was instrumental in making him king. Thank God for your Mom whether she is living or home with the Lord.Give God all the glory.

  • #And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished and hiss and they shall say, why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house? And they shall answer because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt and have taken hold upon other gods and have worshiped them and served them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil. I Kings 9:8,9

Jehovah God is a jealous God and thou shalt not have any god besides Him. Israel will learn from her backsliding ways to return to the Holy One of Israel Jehovah Nissi who is our banner. This is the first commandment and the second is like unto it, thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself on these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Thus Solomon learns to hallow the Lord God before him and to keep His commandments. Israel does not have to become a byword for worshiping other gods. And Hiram sent unto the king sixscore talents of gold. So Solomon was rewarded for his service to Jehovah.

  • #But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them: Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight and Israel shall be a byword among all people. I Kings 9:6,7

This warning that the Lord God gave to Solomon would come to pass, as it happened after the forty years of the kingdom and when Solomon multiplied wives unto himself. This was a violation of the Torah and those foreign wives turned Solomon's heart away from God. Israel was removed from the land in 70AD and were a byword among all the people until 1948 when they were allowed to come back to the land of Israel. What a mighty God we serve, who tells us the future. Let us learn from their lessons and do not forsake the Lord God.

  • #And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments: Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel forever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, there shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel. I Kings 9:4,5

Jehovah has just charged Solomon to walk as David his father walked, in the integrity of heart, to keep my commandments and my statutes, there shall not fail thee to have a man upon the throne of Israel. We see that Solomon has a great act to follow in his father David, and all he has to do is walk in the commandments of God. For they are not burdensome. O how the Lord will bless us too if we walk in the commandments of Jehovah and keep His statutes forever. Yeshua must be praised and worshiped forever. For He is holy and worthy of our praises so let us exalt His name forevermore.

  • #And it came to pass when Solomon had finished building the house of the LORD, and the king's house and Solomon's desire which he was pleased to do, That the LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as He had appeared unto him in Gibeon. And the LORD said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and supplication that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there forever and my eyes and my heart shall be there perpetually. I Kings 9:1-3

Jehovah God answers Solomon a second time as He did in Gibeon, to tell him that He heard thy prayer and supplication. My eyes and my heart shall be there perpetually in the house that you have built. What an honor for Solomon for Jehovah to answer his prayer and now Solomon is challenged to walk before Jehovah as David his father did with a united heart. We can learn a lot about David, that a man after God's heart, walked before the Lord, even though he made mistakes, he was quick to repent and be restored. This left an indelible mark on Solomon his son, to see how God blessed David his father. Blessed is the man whom the Lord does not impute sin. Psalm 32 and Psalm 51 David pours out his heart before a holy God who is able to save to the uttermost. We too can cry out to God and know that He will hear our penitent heart. So let us be mindful of the presence of Jehovah God in our lives so that we walk before Him with a perfect heart. Keeping the commandments and statutes of God daily.

  • #Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto His people Israel, according to all He had promised: there hath not failed one word of all His good promise which He promised by the hand of Moses His servant. The LORD our God be with us, as He was with our fathers: let Him not leave us, nor forsake us. That He may incline our hearts unto Him, to walk in all His ways, and to keep His commandments and His statutes, and His judgments, which He commanded our fathers. I Kings 8:56-58

Solomon has ended his prayer to Jehovah invoking His universal protections for his children, as He provided for our fathers. God is good all the time and not one of His promises has failed that He made to Moses. Praise God that He is a covenant keeping God, and will never leave or forsake His children forever. Will you praise Him today with me, if you have come through some dark valleys, that only the goodness of the Lord could bring you through all the days of your life. Solomon witnessed this in the life of David, and he knew God would protect him as well. Say amen praise the Lord forever, for His name is to be praised forever. Solomon wanted all the people of the earth to know and see the goodness of our God and praise Him. So Solomon dedicated the house unto the Lord with peace offerings. Yeshua is our peace and we dedicate our temple to Him in holiness, that we may keep His commandments with a perfect heart. Let men everywhere lift up holy hands to God almighty who is able to save to the uttermost those who call upon Him.

  • #When thy people Israel be smitten down before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee, and shall turn again to thee, and confess thy name, and pray and make supplication unto thee in this house; Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel and bring them again unto the land  which thou gavest to thy fathers. I Kings 8:33,34

Now Solomon is praying for the national sins of the nation Israel, for God to be merciful to forgive thy people when they are smitten down by their sins. This prayer has kept Israel over all these years as the people of Israel continue to go to the western wall today to pray for future deliverance. God will once again hear this prayer as He did in 1948 when Israel became a nation. Also when they won Jerusalem in the 1967 six day war. The Lord will roar out of Zion, in the last days when the Messiah will return to set up His kingdom in the tribulation. So we too should pray in the temple of the Lord for deliverance from our enemies as well. O hear Lord, and forgive the sin of thy people, that we will turn our hearts to faith in Yeshua and will serve him forever. Help us O God to walk in our inheritance that we have in Yeshua your only Son, to keep His ways and His testimonies forever.

  • #And hearken thou to the supplication of thy servant and of thy people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place and hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place and when thou hearest, forgive. If any man trespass against his neighbor and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house: Then hear thou in heaven and do, and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his head and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness. I Kings 8:30-32

Solomon prays for the one who trespasses against his neighbor with an oath. God will condemn the wicked and justify the righteous. For God is a God of justice and He will not at all acquit the wicked. Yet the Lord is merciful and will forgive those who come before Him with a penitent heart. Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord, for thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, all thy soul. and all thy strength, and all thy mind.

  • #And Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel and spread forth his hands toward heaven: And he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven above, or earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart. Who hast kept with thy servant David my father that thou promised him thou spakest also with my mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day. I Kings 8:22-24

Solomon is giving all the glory to Jehovah God for keeping his father David and allowing him to build the house with the ark of the covenant. God is a God of mercy who keeps His covenant of love and mercy with all those who keep His commandments. So Solomon testifies that he will walk before the Lord God with a perfect heart, as David his father did, and Jehovah blesses Solomon for his testimony.
