A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

Israel has forsaken Jehovah for cisterns that cannot hold water. Back to Egypt to slavery for forgetting the fountain of Living waters.
#Because Ephraim hath made many altars to sin, altars shall be unto him to sin. Hosea 8:11
Ephraim has forgotten the fountain of living waters for broken cisterns. May God have mercy on his descendants.
#For they have sown the wind and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up. Israel is swallowed up: now they be among the Gentiles as a vessel wherein is no pleasure. Hosea 8:7,8
Israel has played the harlot and sown to the wind, now she has reaped the whirlwind. God is not mocked whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. Individuals do not get away with sin and neither do nations. Israel will be saved from all of her enemies in the last days, but until then, they will be among the Gentiles with no pleasure in them. They will be a burdensome stone to all that try to help them, until they call out blessed is He that comes in the name of Hosanna.
#Set the trumpet to thy mouth. He shall come as an eagle against the house of the LORD because they have transgressed my covenant and trespassed against my law. Israel shall cry unto me, My God, we know thee. Israel hath cast off the thing that is good: the enemy shall pursue him. Hosea 8:1-3
What a tragedy, that Israel has forsaken Jehovah Nissi for broken idols. All the silver and the gold belongs to God, yet Israel shall cry unto me, my God we know thee, but an enemy will pursue him. The rod of the wicked will not touch the righteous if he puts not his hand on iniquity. As the Psalmist said: put a guard over my mouth. For the trumpet of the Lord shall sound and time shall be no more. Then will Israel see the shame of his sin in Israel yet God shall save a remanent? Therefore the calf of Samaria will be broken in pieces and they will know that God has done it. I will set a watch to the house of the Lord so that the redeemed of the Lord will see and turn from their wicked ways to the Lord El-yon.
#Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me. And they have not cried unto me with their heart when they howled upon their beds: they assemble themselves for corn and wine and they rebel against me. Hosea 7:13,14
Israel is like a silly dove without a heart, they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria, but they have forgotten the fountain of living water, Jehovah for broken cisterns that cannot heal or save them. They seek after corn and wine, while they rebel in their hearts against the highest God. What a sad that, as Jehovah has redeemed them, but they are too proud to receive it. Yeshua said: foxes have a hole, the birds have nests, but the Son of Man, hath nowhere to lay His head. When will they learn to stop going after their idols? They take the patience of Jehovah for a lie and blaspheme His most holy name. Oh, that my people will learn to not forget their God, who has redeemed them from corruption. May the mercies of the Lord save them. Yet their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.
#When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood and the thief cometh in and the troop of robbers spoileth without. And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face. Hosea 7:1,2
Only when Ephraim repents of his wickedness, will Jehovah forget all of the sin. Samaria has committed falsehood and the thieves and robbers come life troops of armies. What a sad reality this is when a people forget their God. Return to the Shepherd of the flock O Israel, for all of your besetting sins are before the face of Jehovah. He is a merciful God, if only you will repent of all of your wicked ways and restore that which you have stolen. Then the waters of Marimba will be sweet again. The Lord is good and will not at all acquit the guilty. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, for He will save you from all of your enemies.
#Come and let us return unto the LORD: for He hath torn and He will heal us; He hath smitten and He will bind us up. After two days will He revive us: in the third day He will raise us up and we shall live in his sight. Hosea 6:1,2
Hosea has given a prophecy of the revival of Israel. A day with Jehovah is as a thousand years. It has been two thousand years since Israel has been in the center of a king. The Messiah will come and raise them on the third day, and we are at the beginning of the third day. So we pray even so come Lord Jesus, to usher in your Kingdom, and the revival of Israel the wife of Yahweh. Praise God that Israel will be saved from all of her enemies.
#For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away, I will take away and none shall rescue him. I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offense and seek my face in their affliction they will seek me early. Hosea 5:14,15
Ephraim and Judah must repent of their sin, as Jehovah will be as a young lion unto them until they acknowledge their offense. Yeshua is looking for one holy Church without spot or blemish. We must be careful to get rid of the idols in our lives by making sure the Lord is the source of all our worship. The Psalmist said before I was afflicted I went astray, now I keep thy law. Truly we learn more in the furnace of affliction than we do in prosperity. Let us give thanks to the Lord for He is good and His mercy endures forever.
#I knows Ephraim and Israel are not hidden from me; for now, O Ephraim, thou committest whoredom and Israel is defiled. They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredom is in the midst of them and they have not know the LORD. Hosea 5:3,4
Ephraim is turned to whoredoms, and the nation Israel is defiled. Jehovah will purge the sin of Ephraim and they will return to the Lord their God. Yet they will be chastened and oppressed in judgment because he willingly walked after the commandment. Ephraim saw his sickness and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, yet he could not heal you or cure you of your wound. Jehovah will return to his place, till they acknowledge their offense and seek my face: in their affliction, they will seek me early. Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, and call upon Him while He is near.
#Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone. Their drink is sour: they have committed whoredom continually. Her rulers with shame do love. Give ye. The wind hath bound her up in her wings and they shall be ashamed because of their sacrifices. Hosea 4:17-19
Joseph's son Ephraim is joined to idols. What a sad state, to leave him alone in. Yet this is what Jehovah has told Hosea Israel has done to Him in forsaking the fountain of living waters, for broken cisterns, that cannot hold water. Jehovah has been patient with them, but they take advantage of His patience. Hosea has been patient with Gomer and she too has taken advantage of his love. God will not always strive with man. Today is the day of salvation, when you hear His voice, hearken.
