Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #In the seventeenth year of Pekah the son of Remaliah Ahaz the son of Jotham king of Judah began to reign. Twenty years old was Ahaz when he began to reign and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem and did not that which was right in the sight of the LORD his God, like David his father. But walked in the way of the kings of Israel, yea, and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel. II Kings 16:1-3

Ahaz followed the wicked example of the kings of Israel, by causing his son to pass through the fire. And he sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places and on the hills and under every green tree. What a shame this was, for this caused the wrath of God to kindle against His people, but He remembered His promise to David; therefore He did not destroy them. This is a lesson to us to walk in the commandments of Jehovah and to forsake wickedness of the heathen nations that God cast out before us. The Lord is a jealous God, and thou shalt not have any other god before Him. Ahaz did not repent of his wickedness and took the silver and gold that was found in the house of the LORD and in the treasures of the king's house and sent it for a present to the king of Assyria. Ahaz put his confidence in man, instead of the Lord God. Then Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglathpileser king of Assyria and saw an altar that was at Damascus and king Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest the fashion of the altar and the pattern of it, according to all the workmanship thereof. When Religion and Government work together, it causes corruption. Thus there was compromise everywhere. This is what we are seeing today in the apostate church that has their hands in the politicians pocket. We must not make friends with the world, for that makes us enemies of Jehovah God. Thus the Israelites were taken captive by the philosophy of men, rather than trusted in the wisdom of God. This schizophrenic behavior permeated the land of Israel and the people of God were taken captive because of it. My brothers and sisters, if we are going to avoid this fate then we must trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not on our understanding. I pray that God will raise up godly men to lead this nation, America, in these days of Charlottesville. God is love and who ever is born of God is of love. Hatred and bigotry must not be tolerated if we are going to be blessed as a people of God. May the Lord send a revival throughout the land for truth and righteousness. For one day this world will be full of the knowledge of God. There will be peace in the valley when Jesus Christ the Prince of Peace is ruling and be reigning as King of Kings and Lord of Lords in Jerusalem.

  • #This was the word of the LORD which He spake unto Jehu, saying Thy sons shall sit on the throne of Israel unto the fourth generation. And so it came to pass. I Kings 15:12

Jehovah God was faithful to fulfill His word to Jehu that said thy sons shall sit on the throne of Israel unto the fourth generation. Our God is worthy to be praised, for he forgives and restores those who come unto Him unto the fourth generation. His mercy endures forever. So the Lord in those days began he to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah. So no matter what you are going through, our God is faithful unto the end, for He visits the sins of the fathers unto the children unto the third generation, but has mercy on all those who keep His commandments. So tell your children to obey the commandments of the Lord and they will keep them from the generational curses.

  • #In the second year of Joash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel reigned Amaziah the son of  Joash king of Judah. He was twenty and five years old when he began to reign and reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem. And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, yet not like David his father: he did according to all things as Joash his father did. II Kings 14:1-3

Amaziah did what was right in the sight of Jehovah as Joash his father did. He had godly parents and that was one of the reasons he lived a godly life. He honored his father and his mother all the days of his life. He established godly relationships in life which are very important in living a godly life. He followed the commandments of God. He allowed Jehovah God to avenge the murderers who slew his fathers. Vengeance is of the Lord and He shall repay. That is what we are supposed to do in life, trusting in God with all our hearts leaning not to our understanding, but in all our ways acknowledge Him, then He will direct your pathway. When we live that type of lifestyle let us rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. God will bless us in the midst of the storms of life. Then we too can pass on a godly legacy to the next generation as well. So praise God today and always give thanks for this is His will for us in Christ Jesus.

  • #Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died, and Joash the king of Israel came down unto him and wept over his face and said, O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel and the horsemen thereof. And Elisha said unto him, Take bow and arrows. And he took unto him bow and arrows. And he said to the king of Israel, Put thine hand upon the bow. And he put his hand upon it and Elisha put his hands upon the king's hands. And he said, Open the window eastward. And he opened it. Then Elisha said, Shoot. And he shot. And he said the arrow of the LORD's deliverance and the arrow of deliverance from Syria: for thou shalt smite the Syrians in Aphek till thou have consumed them. II Kings 13:14-17

Elisha gives his final prophecy unto the king of Israel before he dies. The arrow of the Lord's deliverance from the Syrians. And he said, Take the arrows. And he took them. And he said unto the king of Israel Smite upon the ground. And he smote thrice and stayed. And the man of God was wroth with him and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed it. Whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice. We limit the victories of the Lord in our lives when we do not fully smite the bow and arrows five or six times. And Elisha died, and they buried him. And the bands of the Moabites invaded the land the coming in of the year. Faith in God totally is what gives us the victory. This is the lesson that Elisha was teaching the king before he died. We would be well to take heed to that lesson in our lives as well.

  • #Neither did he leave of the people to Jehoahaz but fifty horsemen and ten chariots and ten thousand footmen; for the king of Syria had destroyed them, and made them like the dust by threshing. II Kings 13:7

Jehovah God judged the people because they went after the sins of Jeroboam, who made Israel to sin. Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to them. God is a jealous God, for thou shalt have no other god besides Me. So the rest of the acts of Jehoahaz, and all that he did, and his might, are they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

  • #And Jehoahaz be sought the LORD and the LORD hearkened unto him: for He saw the oppression of Israel because the king Syria oppressed them. II Kings 13:4

Jehoahaz the son of Jehu began to reign over Israel and he reigned seventeen years. He did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord God. So Jehovah allowed the enemies of Samaria  to oppress them. Thus Jehoahaz sought the Lord God, and God had mercy on him so Jehovah sent a saviour so that they went out from under the hand of the Syrians: and the children dwelt in their tents as beforetime. God is a merciful God who forgives and restores those who humble themselves before Him. So cry out to Him today for He will save to the uttermost them that call on Him. May the Lord bless you to do this is my prayer.

  • #Then Hazael king of Syria went up and fought against Gath and took it and Hazael set his face to go up to Jerusalem. II Kings 12:17

And Jehoash king of Judah took all the hallowed things that Jehoshaphat and Jehoram and Ahaziah, his fathers, king of Judah, had dedicated and his own hallowed things and all the gold that was found in the treasures of the house of the LORD and the king's house and sent it to Hazael king of Syria and he went away from Jerusalem. So his servants arose and made a conspiracy and slew Joash in the house of Millo, which goeth down to Silla. And the rest of the acts of Joash and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the king of Judah? So we see that appeasement does not stop the enemy. This was the final mistake of Joash did before he died. Keep thy heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life. We pray for our leaders that they will be wise and not sell out the American people in these days of apostasy. For if God be for us, then who can defeat us? The answer is no one. So give God the glory for the great victory that He will give us when we place all our faith in Him. We will tell the world about the grace of our Lord Jesus, who though He was rich, for our sakes He became poor, that we through His poverty might become rich. Thank the Lord for His goodness and His mercy endures to all generations. And they buried Joash with his fathers in the city of David and Amaziah his son reigned in his stead.

  • #Howbeit there were not made for the house of the LORD bowls of silver, snuffers, basons, trumpets, and vessels of gold, or vessels of silver, of the money that was brought into the house of the LORD. But they gave that to the workmen and repaired therewith the house of the LORD. Moreover, they reckoned not with the men, into whose hand they delivered the money to be bestowed on workmen: for they dealt faithfully. II Kings 12:13-15

Thank God that they dealt faithfully with the dedicated things of the Lord and the house of the Lord had the breach repaired. No amount of money is too great to repair the breach but we are willing vessels in the master's hand to be used for His glory. Fear the Lord and give Him the glory for all that He calls thy hand to do. Praise God for the carpenters and the builders that wrought upon the house of the LORD. Lord, I need you every hour, because without you I can do nothing. Thank God for His holiness, Christ in you the hope of glory. Give God all the glory, for now, He can repair the breach in your home. Just cry out to Jesus Lord save me, my righteousness. Yes, that marriage that is headed for divorce can be repaired and the breach between your children can be repaired. Just praise God that when we put Him first, He takes care of everything else in our lives.

  • #And Jehoash said to the priests, all the money of the dedicated things that is brought into the house of the LORD, even the money of every one that passeth the account, the money that every man is set at, and all the money that cometh into any man's heart to bring into the house of the LORD,  Let the priests take it to them, every man of his acquaintance and let them repair the breaches of the house, wheresoever any breach shall be found. II Kings 12:4,5

The house of Jehovah God has to be repaired where ever any breach shall be found. The priest was to be responsible for the money that was to be collected. Let everyone on the first day of the week bring into the storehouse as the Lord God has prospered them. We must put the repair of the house of God before our house. The Lord must have preeminence in our lives and when we do that we will not have a problem repairing the breach. The reason the breach is there is that we have sinned in not giving God first place into our lives. We must repent of the wickedness, for if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. My prayer is that you will repair the breach in the house of the Lord, and then He will allow you to repair the breach in your house. Thank God that He is a merciful God, and will restore the years that the locust has eaten. Just give God all the glory for what He is doing in your life by bringing the first fruits to the altar. Tell your friends that you are going to repair the breach in the house of the Lord so that they too will be inspired to repair the breach as well. This is what Jehoash was doing by bringing all the money to the dedicated things that are brought into the house of Jehovah God.

  • #In the seventh year of Jehu Jehoash began to reign and forty years reigned him in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Zibiah of Beersheba. And Jehoash did that which was right in the sight of the LORD all his days wherein Jehoiada the priest instructed him. But the high places were not taken away: the people still sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places. II Kings 12:1-3

Jehoash was a righteous king and Jehovah God blessed him because he did away with the Baal worship. He followed the ways of the priest Jehoiada, who was a good priest. Howbeit, the high places were not done away? This was part of the Caninite worship that was done in the mountains. Nevertheless, he was a good king following the commandments of Jehovah God. When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice. There was a lot of rejoicing over the reign of Jehoash. Praise God we are to pray for our leaders so that we too can live a peaceful life in all righteousness. Do not neglect to do this for God would have all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.
