A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

#And the law is not of faith, but The man that doeth them shall live in them. Galatians 3:12
The Greek word for law is Nomos; which means that which is assigned. Romans 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Paul tells the Galations there is no boasting in the law, for we are saved by grace, through faith, and not of works lest any man should boast. Do not think that righteousness came by the law, or else Christ would have died in vain. We live and walk by faith, but the faith that we live by produces good works, for we are His workmanship, created unto good works which God has ordained that we walk in them. Let no man think more highly of himself, for Christ in us produces those good works by faith.
#But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, the just shall live by faith. Galatians 3:11
The Greek word for evident is Delos; meaning clear. Of uncertain derivation; clear, bewray, certain, or manifest.1 Timothy 6:7 For we brought nothing into this world and it is certain we can carry nothing out. Paul is telling the Galatians and Timothy it is certain we walk by faith and not by sight, for we are saved by faith and not keeping the law. The Law was our schoolmaster until the Lord Jesus came. Now Christ is the completion of the law, and we are saved by faith in His work on the cross. Let us win souls to the Lord Jesus Christ for those are the fruits of our labor that we take to heaven with us. Not our money or our possessions. So it is clear The just shall live by faith. My prayers for the antibiotics for my bone infection in my right foot is appreciated. The Lord healed the woman with the issue of blood because she had enough faith to touch Him in the crowd. Pass me not O gentle Savior, hear my every cry, as the great hymn of the Church goes.
#For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is everyone that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. Galatians 3:10
The Greek word for Cursed is Epikataratos; meaning accursed from Epi and a derivative of Kataraomai; imprecated, i.e. Execrable. Deuteronomy 21:23 His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance. Jesus became a curse for us, by dying on the cross, and He was taken down and buried, and on the third day, He rose again for our justification. Therefore, we are no longer under the Mosiac law, but under grace. Whosoever keeps the law but offends in one area is accursed. The blood of Jesus has justified us, the Holy Spirit is sanctifying us and will be glorified at the appearance of Jesus known as the Epiphany.
#So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. Galatians 3:9
The Greek word for blessed is eulogeo; it means to speak well of, or praise from a compound of Eu and Logos; to speak well of, i.e. (religiously) to bless (thank or invoke a benediction upon, or prosper) Hebrews 7:6 But he whose descent is not counted from them received of Abraham and blessed him that had the promises. Paul is praising those Galatians who are of faith and well-spoken as the faithful Abraham. God promised to bless those who bless Israel and to curse those who curse Israel. 1 Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am chief. Paul knew what it was to be blessed because he was a blasphemer, but he did it out of ignorance and received mercy as he was the chief sinner. Therefore let us come boldly before His throne of grace so that we can receive mercy and grace to help in a time of need.
#And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. Galatians 3:8
The Greek word for gospel is Proeuangelizomai; meaning to announce good news beforehand. The middle voice from Pro and Euaggelizo; to announce glad news in advance. Revelation 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation and kindred and tongue and people. This is the same preaching that Paul is telling the Galations that God foreseeing would justify the heathen through faith, and preached this good news unto Abraham so that all nations of the world could be blessed. We are all children of Abraham through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and joint heirs with Christ to the Abrahamic covenant.
#Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. Galatians 3:7
The Greek word for know is Ginosko; meaning to come to know, recognize, perceive. Mark 9:30 And they departed thence and passed through Galilee and He would not that any man should know it. But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him and he arose. And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could we not cast him out? And He said unto them, this kind can come forth by nothing but by fasting and prayer. Just as our faith in the Lord Jesus makes us the same as the children of Abraham. Jesus wanted the disciples to understand that we through faith, and much prayer with fasting cast out demons. Let us cast out the demon of 911 as we as a Nation will never forget what the terrorists did to us in flying planes into those Twin Towers. We thank God for all the first responders who ran into the buildings to save lives. Greater love hath no man than this, but to lay down his life for his friends. Now Congress needs to make this a Federal Holiday to honor their sacrifices.
#Even Abraham believed in God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Galatians 3:6
The Greek word for accounted is Logizomai; meaning to reckon or to consider. Middle voice from Logos; to take an inventory, i.e. Estimate (literally or figuratively) conclude, esteem, impute, and reason. In Biblical Greek also the present is used passively. 1 Corinthians 13:5-8 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil and rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things, love never fails. Paul is telling the Galatians that just as Abraham believed in God, and it was reckoned for him unto righteousness, just as agape love doth not behave itself unseemly. This is the faith that saves us, and not the works of the law. Jesus said by this shall all men know that ye are my disciples by the love that you have one for the other. Righteousness is imputed by our belief in the Lord Jesus Christ.
#He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Galatians 3:5
The Greek word for ministereth is Epichoregeo; meaning to supply. From Epi and Choregeo; to furnish besides, i.e. fully supply (figuratively) aid or contribute addition. 2 Corinthians 9:10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness; Paul is responding by the Holy Spirit who gives us seed to minister miracles as an apostle among you, by faith and not the works of the law. The law was our Pedigogus until Jesus would come and complete the law by imparting the Spirit to the hearer by faith. This faith that saves us comes by hearing and doing the word of God. James said faith without works is dead, so the faith that saves us produces good works. For we are the workman of the Lord Jesus, created to do good works. Work out your soul salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God in us who foreordained us to do good works. The Greek word is Poema which means masterpiece. So let us do the works of faith by the Spirit and not the law.
#Have ye suffered so many things in vain? If it be yet in vain. Galatians 3:4
The Greek word for suffering is Pascho; meaning to be acted on. Including the forms patho and pentho, used only in certain tenses for it apparently is a primary verb; to experience a sensation or impression (usually painful) to feel passion, and to vex. In the ministry, we say do not waste your suffering. If we suffer for Christ, we shall also reign with Him. Paul is asking the Galations if they have suffered so many things in vain. The Judieazers have placed all those false burdens of keeping the Mosiac law, which no one can keep, it is in vain that ye suffer. Luke 13:2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans because they suffered such things? I tell you, Nay, but except ye repent, ye shall likewise perish. Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay, but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise Perish. Luke 22:15 And He said unto them, With desire, I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer: For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it is fulfilled in the Kingdom of God. Jesus had to fulfill all things and suffer death on the cross so that we would not have to suffer in vain. Remember whom the Lord loves He chastens, and after we have suffered for a while, we will experience the fruit of joy that comes from being disciplined by the Lord. God is not willing that any would perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the truth. Repentance is changing your mind and making a turn in the right direction toward the Lord Jesus Christ. Then you will know the truth, and the truth shall set you free indeed.
#Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? Galatians 3:3
The Greek word for foolish is Anoetos: meaning not understanding. Romans 1:14 I am debtor both to the Greeks and to the Barbarians; both to the wise and to the foolish. There is a poem: " Love is kind, love is good, love is the only way that we can have brotherhood" Paul is saying God so loved us that He sent His Son to die on the cross, and be a propitiation for our sins. Now for us to have brotherhood, we must walk in love and imitate our Lord Jesus Christ. We are not made perfect by the flesh, but perfect love casts out fear. God has not given us the Spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. This is unconditional agape love. Love believes all things, bears all things, and love never fails. My prayers go out to Mrs. Mary Fink that the Lord will restore her and bless her real good.
