Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #For, when we have come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were feared. Nevertheless, God that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus; And not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more. II Cor. 7:5-7

Paul had come into Macedonia and had no rest for his flesh, he was troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were feared. Yet God who comforts the cast down comforted the Church with the coming of Titus; How thankful I am to God for the coming of Bessie Prickett, who has given me great consolation in Christ and I pray for her missionary journey in Cairo, Egypt that the Lord will bless her on her contract. Just as Titus comforted Paul and the Church when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more. For, God is the God of all comfort and he comforts us in our troubles so that we can comfort others who are going through trials. Let us continue to fight the good fight, keep the faith, and finish the race. For there is a crown of righteousness waiting in heaven for all those who love the appearing of Jesus Christ.

  • #Having, therefore, these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man. I speak this not to condemn you: for I have said before, that ye are in our hearts to die and live with you. Great is my boldness of speech, toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation. II Cor. 7:1-4

Have a wonderful Valentine's Day everyone, as we continue our study let us put away all the filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Just as Paul had wronged no man, we too have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man. This is the secret to all of this, the joy of the Lord is our strength and you are in our hearts to die and live with you. Therefore I am filled with great boldness of speech toward you and I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but that we would obtain salvation. So no matter what you are suffering this day, be it the separation from a loved one, we can rejoice in the Lord always, cause God is the source of our joy. and salvation my Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ.

  • #Wherefore come out from among them and be ye separate, saith the Lord and touch not the unclean thing and I will receive you and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. II Cor. 6:17,18

We must live a holy life by being separate from the unbelievers of this world. We must be in the world without being apart of this worldly system. Touch not the unclean thing but keep your eyes on Jesus Christ and God our Father will receive us as sons and daughters. We can say Abba Father which is Daddy in Aramaic.

  • #O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged. Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels. Now for a recompense in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye is the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them and walk in them and I will be their God and they shall be my people. II Cor. 6:11-16

Paul is telling the Corinthians to watch how they walk, for our mouth is open unto you and our heart is enlarged. This passage is quoted many times in regards to marriage: be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? We must be consistent in our lives as Christians, for we can not say one thing and do another. Have godly relationships and that will glorify God in your life. For, God has no fellowship with unrighteousness and there is no communion with light and darkness. For God is light and there is no darkness in him. If we walk in the light as he is in the light we will have fellowship one with another.

  • #Giving no offense in anything, that the ministry be not blamed: But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in watchings, in fastings; by pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, By honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report: as deceivers and yet true; As unknown and yet well known; as dying and behold we live; as chastened and not killed; As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing and yet possessing all things. II Cor. 6:3-10

Paul is listing the trials and affliction of the minister of the Lord Jesus Christ and I witnessed this in my father's ministry, as well as mine. It is a noble calling to serve the Lord and the body of Christ. Ministers are always misunderstood for the many things that they do and one has to experience it in order to appreciate it. James admonished to be not many teachers for we will come under great judgment. So desire the gift of prophecy, but know that it is a great responsibility to the body of Christ.

  • #We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted and in the day of salvation have I succored thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) II Cor. 6:1,2

We are workers together with Christ and Paul begs the Corinthian believers to not receive the grace of God in vain. For he hath saith in a time accepted and in the day of salvation, I succored thee it is accepted that now is the time of salvation. The translators put this scripture in parenthesis to show that this is what they derived from the Dead Sea Scrolls and we can accept this as truth from the hand of God. As holy men of old wrote the scriptures as moved by the power of the Holy Spirit.

  • #And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. II Cor. 5:18-21

God hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ and has committed the ministry of reconciliation to us. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save them. Now he has not imputed their trespasses unto them and has committed us unto the word of reconciliation. God hath made Christ be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Now, therefore, brethren walk in the Spirit so that you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

  • #Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new. II Cor. 5:16-17

We do not know Christ after the flesh because He has entered into Heaven where he is interceding for us at the Right Hand of the Father. Now if any man is in Christ Jesus, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things have become new. This is the Magna Carter of Christianity and that a believer is a new person in the Lord Jesus Christ, no matter what your past life was. What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the Blood of Jesus. Now we are baptized into Christ and have been given this ministry of reconciliation.

  • #For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance and not in heart. For whether we be beside ourselves, it is God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause. For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then all were dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them and rose again. II Cor. 5:12-15

We do not commend ourselves again unto you, but we give you occasion to glory on our behalf, so that you can answer those that glory in appearance and not in heart. Therefore, be not drunk with wine wherein is excess, but be filled with the Spirit. For the love of Christ constraineth us, because we judge that if one died for all, then all were dead. Hence we should not live unto ourselves, but unto him which died for them and rose again. This is how we show the love of God in our hearts.

  • #For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest unto God and I trust also manifest in your consciences. II Cor. 5:10-11

Since we will all appear, Christians, before the Judgment Seat of Christ we labor to be accepted of him and we will answer for the things done in the body, be they good or bad. Therefore, knowing the terror of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest unto God. I trust also that we are made manifest in your consciences for Christ's sake. So take every opportunity to do good, especially to those of the household of faith.
