Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part, he is evil spoken of, but on your part, he is glorified. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. Yet if any man suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. I Peter 4:14-16

We must suffer as a Christian and not as a murderer, thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. It is important to crucify the flesh daily and live a holy life, not giving in to the desires of the flesh. Then you will not be ashamed when Jesus comes, so glorify God on this behalf. Count it a privilege to suffer for Christ, as we will be rewarded on the day of the Judgment Seat of Christ.

  • #Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad, with exceeding joy. I Peter 4:12-13

Peter exhorts the believers to not think it is a strange thing concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as if some strange thing has happened unto you. James said to count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations, knowing that the trial of our faith produces patience. Therefore, we should rejoice, in as much as we are partakers of Christ's sufferings, that when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. So do not murmur or complain, but give thanks in all things for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

  • #Use hospitality one to another without grudging. As every man hath received the gift, even so, minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speaks let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion forever and ever. Amen. I Peter 4:9-11

Now we are studying the gifts of the spirit: such as hospitality which is to be used without grudging. Every man is to use the gift that God has given the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. It is the Holy Spirit who gives us these gifts as God the Father sees what is fit for us for his glory in Jesus Christ in his body. Every man is to speak as the oracles of God, with the ability that God gives. For God must be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion forever and ever. Amen. When we do this the Church is being the salt and light that God has predestined for us to be in the world. Now abides faith, hope, and love. These three and the greatest of them is love. We must minister the truth of the gospel in love one to another.

  • #For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh but live according to God in the spirit. But the end of all things is at hand: be ye, therefore, sober and watch unto prayer. And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. I Peter 4:6-8

The gospel was preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. For, I have been crucified with Christ, therefore, I no longer live but Christ lives in me. For the life I live, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave His life for me. Now the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. Be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess, but be filled with the spirit. Above all things have fervent love among yourselves: for love shall cover the multitude of sins.

  • #For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. I Peter 4:3-5

We must crucify the flesh through the power of the Holy Spirit and live to the will of God. The Gentiles will think it strange that ye no longer run with them to the same excess of riot. If any man is in Christ Jesus he is a new creation old things are passed away and all things have become new. They shall stand before the Lord and give an account, who is ready to judge the living and the dead. Christians will stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ, while the unbelievers will stand before the Great White throne Judgment where the books will be opened and all those who are not found in the Lamb's book of life will be cast into the lake of fire, which is the second death.

  • #Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus and toward all saints; That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. For we have great joy and consolation in thy love because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother. Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient, Yet for love's sake, I rather beseech thee, being such a one as Paul the aged and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ. I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds: Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now is profitable to thee and me: Philemon 1:5-11

We just celebrated Independence Day of the United States and yet slaves were not independent, so we are going to step aside and study the book of Philemon in the Bible which is about a runaway slave seeking his independence who landed in prison with Paul. Onesimus in Greek means useless and as a runaway slave, he was useless to his master Philemon but now he has become converted to the Lord Jesus Christ by the aged Paul in prison. So Paul begs Philemon to accept him back not as a slave, but as a brother in Christ. Paul says he ran away for a season, that he could return to you as a beloved brother by the providential will of God. Let us rejoice in that we were all runaway slaves, and by the grace of God have become the bond-servants of Jesus Christ by faith. So we too like Onesimus ran away for a season, that we could become the beloved sons and daughters of Christ. Let us put away the racism of the flesh and love one another and celebrate our Independence from slavery. We are now at liberty in Jesus Christ to serve one another in love advancing the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to a lost world. Whom the Son hath set free, is free indeed.

  • #Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. I Peter 4:1,2

May the Holy Spirit empower us to have the same mindset as Jesus who became sin for us, that we could become the righteousness of Christ and cease from sin. We are Ambassadors for Christ and we must not live the rest of our time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God, just as Jesus did for us. It is my prayer that if my people which called by His name should humble themselves and pray, seek His face and turn from their wicked ways, then God will hear from heaven and forgive our sins and heal our land. Let us hold up the blood-stained banner and be crucified with Jesus to no longer live in the flesh, but by the faith of Him, that has called us to righteousness.

  • #For it is better if the will of being so, that ye suffer for well-doing than for evil doing. For Christ also once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but quickened by the Spirit: By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; Which sometimes, were disobedient when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. The like figure hereunto even baptism doth also now save us ( not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: Who is gone into heaven and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto Him. I Peter 3:17-22

Just as Jesus suffered once for us, we too must arm ourselves with the same mindset, that ye suffer for well-doing than for evil doing. Christ was put to death in the flesh but raised by the Spirit. He then preached to those souls of the antediluvian in Hades, which were sometimes disobedient when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah. Jesus is now at the right hand of God interceding for us, while angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto Him. Thank God that we can endure these trials by the power of the Holy Spirit to suffer like Jesus did and bring glory to God. It is my prayer that we will continue to seek justice for those suffering from oppression and segregation. God waited 120 years for the antediluvians to repent, but they didn't then the flood came and destroyed them all, save eight souls, Noah and his wife, his three sons, and their wives. The next judgment is not going to be by water but by fire. Let us preach Jesus and Him crucified while there is time for this generation to be saved from that fire.

  • #And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. I Peter 3:13-16

We must be ready to always give an account of the reason for the hope that is in us when someone asks us. For if God is for us, then who is it that can be against us? Yay, rather it is Christ that died and is risen so that we can have justification before God. So be happy when they will falsely accuse you in Christ, for they will be ashamed on the day of judgment of our conversation in Christ. May the Lord reward all of us for being faithful in these days of the coronavirus pandemic for our faith in God and our love for the brethren.

  • #For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous and his ears are open unto their prayers, but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. I Peter 3:12

We are living in perilous times and in the midst of a coronavirus pandemic. It is a blessing to know that the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous and his ears are open unto their prayers: many people have succumbed to the pandemic, but the Lord has heard the prayer of the righteous. If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, seek His face and turn from their wicked ways, God will hear their prayer, forgive their sins, and heal their land. How we as a people of God need to humble ourselves and pray for revival and restoration from evil men. The righteous cry and the Lord delivers him from all his evils. We have seen the protest over the killing of George Floyd by the policemen and God is giving America time to repent of the racism that has plagued this country since the Civil War. May we as the people of God return to a righteous lifestyle and ask for His forgiveness of our past sins. As we prepare to celebrate the fourth of July, may we realize that righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.
