Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #And this is His commandment, That we should believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment. 1 John 3:23

The commandment that we must keep is to believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ and to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. This puts an end to racism and segregation for to love your neighbor as yourself means you will live next to him. The Church today is still mostly segregated, while there are some multicultural ones left, but by and large, most churches are still segregated. If we are going to the same heaven then we should be able to go to the same church. Jesus told the disciples a new commandment give I unto you that you love one another as I have loved you. When the Church truly loves one another segregation will no longer be a problem.

  • #And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him because we keep his commandments and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1 John 3:22

Having an effective prayer life means we must keep his commandments. Jesus gave us a new commandment that we love one another as he has loved us. When we do this God will answer our prayers. So if your prayers are not being answered, then you must have a love problem. The first and great commandment is that we love the Lord God with all our hearts, mind, and soul. The second is like unto it that we love our neighbors as ourselves and on these two commandments hangs all the law. So ask the Lord to create in me a clean heart so that I can love you more and more as well as my neighbor. So who is my neighbor? The story of the good Samaritan is the best example of who is my neighbor, as a stranger fell among thieves, was robbed, and left half dead. A priest and a Levite passed by him, but the Samaritan bandaged him up and put him on his donkey, took him to the hospital while paying for his needs. This is true love in action and if we love like this, our prayers will be answered.

  • #Beloved, if our heart condemns us not, then we have confidence toward God. 1John 3:21

When our heart does not condemn us then we have confidence toward God and our sins have been forgiven. We know that we are walking in the light as He is in the Light and the blood of Jesus cleanses us daily of all sins. What a blessing to have a pure heart, for we shall see God and know that our sins are forgiven. Therefore always be quick to forgive others so that no bitterness will spring up in your heart and cause it to condemn you. Jesus said when you stand praying if you have ought against anyone, then forgive and our Heavenly Father will forgive you of all your sins. This is the blessing of obedience as we allow the love of God to reign supreme in our hearts. God is a forgiving Heavenly Father and He has told us to forgive others their debts and He will forgive our debts also. So love one another with a pure heart and you will have no occasion to stumble. Having confidence before God will be a blessing on Judgment Day.

  • #For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart and knoweth all things. 1 John 3:20

God knows our heart, for the heart is most deceitful, and desperately wicked only the Lord knows our heart. Therefore if our heart condemns us God is greater than our heart and knows all things. When we love our brethren in doing good deeds, then the truth sets us free and our heart does not condemn us. It is time for us to judge ourselves so that our heart does not condemn us. Ercot Power Company of Texas is under investigation because of numerous deaths due to the rolling blackouts from the deep freeze that hit Texas and this is an example of hearts failing us at a time when many counted on heat to keep from freezing to death. It is important to admit failures and work to improve the situation so that Texans will never be placed in such a perilous situation ever again. When we accept responsibility for our failures, then our hearts can receive redemption from the blood of Jesus. If we confess our sin, God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

  • #And hereby we know that we are of the truth and shall assure our hearts before him. 1 John 3:19

Our hearts assure us before the Lord when our deeds and our words match the truth of scripture. Then we can be assured when we stand before judgment we will not be condemned and we will have a great reward. It is therefore imperative that we love our brothers and sisters in word and deeds, not just in the tongue. Going the extra mile is certainly the best thing for us in these days of climate change and the coronavirus pandemic by being kind to our neighbors. I thank God that I have good neighbors who are helping me get help to find plumbers and home remodelers after the deep freeze that caused my pipes to burst. This is true love and what the scriptures require of us to do.

  • #My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue but in deed and in truth. 1 John 3:18

The apostle John uses his term of endearment again in response to the Christians not just saying they love you in word and tongue but instead in deed and in truth. We are in the midst of a climate crisis where greenhouse gases have caused weather patterns to change all over the world. We show our love for our brothers and sisters who have suffered storm damage from broken pipes by helping them get supplies to repair their homes. Love is an action word and if we do not put actions in our love then it is not true. We put actions to our words by calling on the legislators to take action on the climate crisis. I thank God for my family and I pray for my grandchildren to not have to worry about global warming destroying their future.

  • # But whoso hath these worlds goods and seeth his brother have need and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? 1 John 3:17

If we have material things of this world that our brother has a need of and we refuse to give them to him, then how can the love of God dwell in us? It is important that our deeds match our words, for we must love in truth and not in word only. Just as the apostle James said faith without works is dead, then love without action is dead also. Christ commends His love for us on the cross in that while we were yet sinners He died for us. This is the agape love that God wants us to have one for the other.

  • #Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 1 John 3:16

Jesus demonstrated His love for us because He laid down His life for us and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren also. Being available to help those suffering from burst pipes and no water in the home, as a result, are ways to show your love for the brethren. I thank God that things are as well as they are as many people are suffering in Texas as a result of climate change and the dramatic changes in the weather as a result of the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. We must reduce our carbon footprint in the environment to get a grasp on this most perplexing problem facing the global economy. When God put Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden they were in charge of the environment, but because of sin entering the world, we are in the midst of an environmental challenge with global warming and sea-rise. When we take steps to eradicate this problem we show our love for our brethren. Jesus will restore the cosmos to the original glory that it had before sin entered the world when He comes the second time to bring the Kingdom of God on this earth.

  • #Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 1 John 3:15

It is impossible to love and hate the same person.  Hating your brother makes you a murderer and no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.  So if you say you love your brother, but secretly hate him you are not only a murderer but a liar also. We say love your friends while hating your enemies. This is the natural human response, but Jesus tells us to love our enemies, which takes agape love to do that. So if you want to go to heaven you must love everybody, not just your friends but even your enemies. By the grace of God, we can do this through the power of the Holy Spirit and this is done as we walk by the Spirit. It is impossible to love unconditionally in the flesh, but only through the Spirit can we love as God loves us. So if hatred is in your heart, then you are walking in the flesh and not in the Spirit of God. Confess your sin to God and He will cleanse you of all unrighteousness and make you holy. Thank God that we can love everybody as Jesus loves us and do good to everybody; especially to those of the household of faith and you will have the assurance when you die that you will go to heaven. It is possible to love someone, while not liking their ways. So do not confuse love and like as the same thing. We must hate the sin while loving the sinner. Therefore seek to restore one in the faith and teach them the power of love to overcome the burden of hatred. Then pray for those struggling in sin to have a Personal relationship with Jesus. This is how you love everyone.

  • #We know that we have passed from death unto life because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. 1 John 3:14

When we have love in our hearts for all the brothers, no matter what the colors, then we know that we have passed from death unto life because we love the brethren. However, he that loves not his brother abides in death. There are three kinds of death: spiritual death, physical death, and eternal death. When one rejected the love of Jesus Christ poured out on the cross for their sins they are spiritually dead, and if they do not repent of that unbelief they will die physically and ultimately burn in the Lake of Fire, which is eternal death. The evidence that you have received Jesus Christ as your Personal Savior is that you love the brethren. So if there is hatred in your heart toward your brothers or sisters, then you must repent of that sin, for no murderer has eternal life, and that is what you are if you hate your brother. Love covers a multitude of sins, so seek to have that agape love that believes all things, endures all things, hopes all things, for love never fails.
