Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • # Behold his bed, which is Solomon's; threescore valiant men are about it, of the valiant of Israel. Song of Solomon 3:7

Solomon as King has sixty valiant men of the war guarding his bed. So you say how we know that it was sixty? A score is twenty; so threescore is 3x20 and that is how we figure that in the King James Bible. What a blessing this is as the secret service is to the Presidency, even that is more than guards the President of the United States. It is true that Solomon was not a King that had to fight any wars as his father David did, but he had a strong military. We can learn a lot from this scripture in that we too must keep our military strong to avert war. I pray that our leaders will not get so caught up in building infrastructure that they forget to build up the cybersecurity forces of the Government which is the new weapon of war in the twenty-first century. Thank God that Joe Biden is going to do just that with executive orders and now we pray Congress will pass the infrastructure build that is being proposed.

  • # Who is this that cometh out of the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all powders of the merchant? Song of Solomon 3:6

The Shulamite is looking for Solomon in the wilderness and he comes out like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense with powders of the merchant? This is a picture of the Messiah who delivered Israel in the wilderness after their slavery in Egypt with a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. The perfume of myrrh and frankincense was symbolic of his coming to save them from sin by his death on the cross and resurrection from the grave. The wise men gave these gifts at his birth as a merchant comes with great gifts for his lover the Church. We as wise men need to go out into the world seeking the lost to bring them into the Kingdom of God, Jews, and Gentiles. When we are obedient to the great commission we fulfill this passage as Jesus told us after His resurrection to teach them all things that He had taught baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. I praise God that with this Blog I can reach all over the world calling people to turn from their sins to Jesus Christ the author and finisher of our faith.

  • # I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up,  nor awake my love, till he pleases. Song of Solomon 3:5

The Shulamite bride charges the daughters of Jerusalem by the deers of the field, that ye stir not up nor awake my love until he pleases. Romance in marriage is very important and Solomon needs his rest, therefore his bride wants the daughters of Jerusalem not to disturb her husband until he is ready for love. It is necessary to plan romantic walks and talks with your mate to keep the love in the marriage. Couples that pray together stay together. So if you are having difficulty communicating in your marriage, it is important to resolve it immediately for your marriage to prosper. Never go to bed angry and always work through and talk about any problems that you are having in the marriage. Solomon knows how to satisfy a woman for he had many wives and concubines. So it behooves us to listen to his advice in this Song of Songs.

  • # It was but a little that I passed from them but I found him whom my soul loveth: I held him and would not let him go until I had brought him into my mother's house and into the chamber of her that conceived me. Song of Solomon 3:4

The Shulamite bride is looking for Solomon everywhere and has found him whom her soul loves, so she held him until she brought him to her mother's house where she was conceived. This is a picture of the church being taken to heaven the place that Jesus has prepared for us and the many mansions that we will enjoy. The church is like the mother and Jesus the Father what a blessing this is and it shows us how important the mother and father relationship is to our heavenly Father. We just celebrated Mother's Day and this is in keeping with the ten commandments that we honor our father and mother all the days of our lives so that it will be well with us. God honors those with long life who keep this commandment.

  • #The watchmen that go about the city found me: to whom I said, Saw ye him whom my soul loveth? Song of Solomon 3:3

The watchmen are the ministers of Christ working in the vineyard for one penny a day. Jesus sent them out to work twelve-hour shifts and said whatever is right I will pay. Yet some of the workers came out at the 11th hour and some of the workers who had borne the heat of the earlier day complained that they received the same wages, but Jesus said I have not done you wrong for we must be about our Father's business who will settle accounts. We must be in love with Jesus and seek to win as many people to Christ before the night comes when no man can work.

  • #I will rise now and go about the city in the streets and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not. Song of Solomon 3:2

The Shulamite Bride goes about the city in the streets looking for Solomon whom her soul loves and she sought him, yet she found him not. This is a picture of the Church seeking to compel all those in the streets to find Jesus, but many will not find Him. We must continue to call out in the highways and the byways so that they can come into the Kingdom of God. Paul said I plant the seed and Appolus waters it, then God gives the increase. Praise God that we are in love with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Therefore we will build our homes on His word so that we will have strong relationships with one another. As we celebrate Mother on this most blessed day for all that she does to keep the family together and I look forward to the day in heaven when we will all be joined together around the throne of Jesus with Mary the Mother of Jesus thanking her for being humble enough to be the handmaiden of the Lord.

  • #By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not. Song of Solomon 3:1

The Shulamite bride is on her bed seeking Solomon whom her soul loves, but found him not. This is a picture of the Church seeking the Lord Jesus Christ as He has ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. We must seek the Lord daily on our beds of affliction for he cares for us and is interceding for us daily and we too must intercede for our brothers and sisters in Christ. Marriage is in trouble today as many are hurting and seeking other relationships outside of the marriage, but only Jesus will satisfy the longing of our hearts. Ezer kenegdo is the Hebrew term for a helpmeet and this is what Jehovah God said for Adam it is not good to be alone, so God made him a helpmeet, Eve the mother of all living. It is good for the man and woman to come together as one in marriage to complete the love relationship thus being together in bed is one way that this happens. Marriage is honorable in all and the bed undefiled, but the whoremonger and the adulterer shall be judged. We must pray that the Lord will perfect the marriage bed so that it is holy and only brings glory to God. We do this by keeping our vows to one another for Jesus said whom God shall join together let no man tear asunder.

  • #Until the day breaks and the shadows flee away, turn my beloved and be thou like a roe or a young hart upon the mountains of Bether.

This is a picture of the first resurrection where all the shadows of death will flee away, the church will rise from the grave to be with the Lord Jesus Christ forever and He will wipe away all tears from her eyes, for there will be no more dying. This is such a promise in this pandemic as so many have lost their lives to the coronavirus and we as ministers it seems are comforting people 24 hrs. a day what a blessing as the psalmist said yea thou I walk through the valley and shadow of death I will fear no evil for thou art with me. Forever shall we be with the Lord in the heavenly home that He has been preparing for us, for we were told to be not troubled for Jesus will come again to take us where He will give us our mansions for eternity. We will be as the deer upon the mountains of Bether, for there will be perfect peace joy, and happiness in the presence of the Lord. Let us rejoice in the Lord always for this is the blessed hope of the bride of Christ.

  • #My beloved is mine and I am his: he feedeth among the lilies. Song of Solomon 2:16

The Shulamite bride is in love with Solomon and he is in love with her. This is a picture of the Church, the Bride of Christ, in love with Jesus as He is the lily of the valleys and feeds among the lilies. Jesus said I am the bread of life and whosoever feeds on Me shall never hunger. Jesus is all that we need as our soul is satisfied in Him alone and we will feast on His Word as it is a lamp unto our feet, as well as a light unto our pathway. So if your marriage needs a little more love, then fall in love with Jesus Christ the lily of the valley, and your marriage will burn with vigor. The Lord of the Church is seated at the right hand of the Father interceding for us to have the grace to help us in our time of need. So come before his throne for grace and mercy to live in this barren world. For He was tempted in all points, just as we are and without sin, so we too have the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete to comfort us in our times of temptation. For all temptation is common to man but God is faithful who will not allow us to be tempted more than we can bear, who will with the temptation make a way of escape. I Cor. 10:13

  • #Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes. Song of Solomon 2:15

The little foxes are the pitfalls to the vines, such as false teachers to the Church the Bride of Christ and we must guard our marriages against these grape destroyers. Foxes love to dig holes in the vineyard by spreading gossip and deceit in the body of Christ. The little foxes are the gray areas of scripture where the false teachers use their interpretation of the grace of God by causing many to go astray. Jesus told us that we would know the tree by the fruit for an evil tree cannot produce good fruit. There must be love in the marriage just as Christ loves the Church, husbands must love their wives also by not being bitter against them. The husband is to build up the wife in the faith so that she will respect him in the marriage. How many marriages are destroyed by the little foxes digging holes in the marriage relationship with deceit and innuendoes. Husbands do not compare your wife to the neighbor's wife and stir up jealousy in the marriage. Jesus demonstrated his love for the Church in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Therefore, husbands must love his wife the same way Christ loves the Church and that is how we stop the little foxes from destroying our marriages.
