A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

As the Constitution says January 20, the President of the United States of America shall be Inaugurated and we want to congratulate President-Elect Joseph Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris today. John the apostle is not preaching the universality of forgiveness for all people, but all children are forgiven due to being under the age of accountability. We are forgiven when we place our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior. Jesus said except we become as a little child, then we would not enter the kingdom of God. Thank God that all are forgiven when we do that. Let us pray that more people will place their faith in Jesus Christ so that we can have fellowship one with another. Then we will be able to unite as children of God and seek his kingdom and righteousness then all these things will be granted unto us.
#But he that hateth his brother is in darkness and walketh in darkness and knoweth not whither he goeth because that darkness hath blinded his eyes. 1 John 2:11
When a brother hates his brother he is in darkness and walks in darkness not knowing where he is going because the darkness has blinded his eyes. Hatred is the sin of murder and no murderer has eternal life if he does not repent of that sin. This is a sad commentary on those espousing hatred on the Internet and life everywhere. If you suffer from this sin cry out to God to save you by opening your eyes to the truth and the light. Jesus said you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. Pray Lord I repent of my hatred and create in me a clean heart so that my eyes will see the light and I can love my brother as myself. When you do that God will heal you and you will be born again then the Holy Spirit will give you love in your heart toward your brothers.
#He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. 1 John 2:10
As we celebrate Martin Luther King Day, let us remember his words: if we do not live together as brothers we will perish as fools. What wise words as the scripture teaches that he who loves his brother abides in the light and there is no occasion of stumbling in him. Love is the fulfillment of the law and the proof that we are walking in the light. Heaven is a place where all races and nationalities will live together praising God. So we need to learn to do that now as children of the light. The only way to live a stumble free life is to love all your brothers no matter what the colors.
# He that saith he is in the light and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. 1 John 2:9
The apostle John is saying that our words matter and if we say we are walking in the light while we hate our brother or sister in Christ, then we are in darkness even until now. Jesus said if you hate your brother you are a murderer and no murderer has eternal life. If you call your brother a fool, then you are in danger of hellfire. The First Amendment to the Constitution gives us free speech, but if we use our words to incite or provoke violence then we lose our free speech protections. The bible tells us that death and life are in the power of the tongue. We use to sing a song change my heart O God, may it ever be true: change my heart O God, make me more like you. The heart is most wicked and desperately deceitful only God can change it to be pure like His. Pray this prayer Lord I confess my sin of hatred and ask that you will cleanse me of it and teach me to love my brother as I love you. I thank you for your forgiveness and for making me a new creation in Christ Jesus my Lord.
# Again a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past and the true light now shineth. 1John 2:8
The apostle John is again writing a new commandment unto you, which thing is true in him and in you because Jesus has come and cast out the darkness on the cross and now the true light now shines through us by the power of the Holy Spirit. I thank God that we have passed from death to life when we love the brethren. This is the true light of Jesus Christ that shines in all true believers. Now that this darkness is passed we must walk in the light as He is in the light. This is the love of God that we must have one for another bearing fruits of righteousness.
#Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning. 1John 2:7
The apostle John is writing to the Christian brethren that there is no new commandment but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. God is Light and love and we must love the Lord our God with all our hearts, minds, and souls. This is the first and great commandment and the second is like unto it that we love our neighbors as ourselves. Jesus is the Mediator between God and man. Our love for God the Father is demonstrated through our love for Jesus the Son and we know we love Him when we keep his commandments. Let us not love in word only but in deeds. When you see your brother in need do not just pray for him without giving him what he needs. Love is expressed in the actions that we take to promote love and good works. We must end racism and promote unity among the races. There is only one church of God and Jesus Christ is the head and we are the members of his body.
#He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. 1John 1:6
We know that we abide in Jesus Christ when we walk as he walked in love. Let us love one another so that we can have a brotherhood. If you say that you love God, but hate your brother, then you are a liar and the truth is not in you. It is time to end racism and work together to end all the riots and work toward peace through reconciliation. Jesus said whoso hates his brother is a murderer and no murderer will inherit the kingdom of God. Heaven is a place of endless love and all those who are going to heaven must love their neighbor as thyself. When we do that we fulfill the law of God and prove that we are the children of God. John knew about love for he was the disciple that Jesus loved and laid his head on Jesus's breast. Love is kind, keeps no records of wrongs, believes all things, hopes all things, love never fails. So if you want to go to Heaven confess your sin of hatred and repent of it and the blood of Jesus will cleanse you of all your sin. Then you will have a home in heaven with all the saints in glory with God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
#But whoso keepeth his word, in him is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 1John 1:5
We know that we are in God when we keep his word and in him is the love of God perfected. Love does no evil to his neighbor and God is love. Therefore we must not forsake the assembling together as some do, but as we see the Day of Christ coming we must provoke one another to love and good works. We must love the Lord with all our hearts, minds, and souls this is the first commandment and the second is like unto it: we must love our neighbor as ourselves; on these two commandments hangs all the law and the prophets. John is the apostle of love and this is agape love that loves in spite of our feelings. Love is kind, rejoices in the truth, is not proud, thinks no evil, and works for the good of all mankind. Jesus warned us on the Mount Olivet discourse that because iniquity would be unbound, the love of many would wax cold. My little children let us love one another even those who would despitefully use us. This is how the love of God is perfected in us.
#He that saith, I know him and keepeth, not his commandments, is a liar and the truth is not in him. 1John 2:4
As Jesus said ye shall know the tree by the fruit that it bears and just to say I know him while not keeping his commandments is a liar void of the truth. We know that all liars shall be cast into the Lake of Fire. We must walk in the light as He is in the Light to prove that we are the children of God. Light is synonymus with life and darkness is the sign of death. Truth sets us free from darkness and lying. We must pray for the peaceful transfer of power to the Biden administration. Those who keep lying about fraud are the perpetrators of fraud and the truth is not in them. God has given us the government for the punishment of evildoers. The Lord Jesus shall return with flaming fire to execute judgment on those who obey not the gospel. So it is time to repent and turn to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ while there is time.
#And hereby we do know that we know Him if we keep his commandments. 1John 1:3
We know that we know the Father through the Son if we keep His commandments. Jesus said if you love me you will keep my commandments. This is not legalism for love is the fulfillment of the law and God is love. This is how we know we have been born of God. For Jesus said we must be born again to inherit the Kingdom of God. My little children if you are part of a hate group espousing hatred over the Internet this is not of God. Thank God that the Internet companies are doing something to curb hatred which caused the violet insurrection on the United States Capital by blocking members of these hate groups on these websites. We must pray to God to keep us safe in the midst of this political unrest and for a peaceful transfer of power to the Biden administration. Churches need to be careful not to be linked to these groups and speak the truth in love so that all those inside the body of Christ as well as outside know where we stand on these issues.
