Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 1 John 3:15

It is impossible to love and hate the same person.  Hating your brother makes you a murderer and no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.  So if you say you love your brother, but secretly hate him you are not only a murderer but a liar also. We say love your friends while hating your enemies. This is the natural human response, but Jesus tells us to love our enemies, which takes agape love to do that. So if you want to go to heaven you must love everybody, not just your friends but even your enemies. By the grace of God, we can do this through the power of the Holy Spirit and this is done as we walk by the Spirit. It is impossible to love unconditionally in the flesh, but only through the Spirit can we love as God loves us. So if hatred is in your heart, then you are walking in the flesh and not in the Spirit of God. Confess your sin to God and He will cleanse you of all unrighteousness and make you holy. Thank God that we can love everybody as Jesus loves us and do good to everybody; especially to those of the household of faith and you will have the assurance when you die that you will go to heaven. It is possible to love someone, while not liking their ways. So do not confuse love and like as the same thing. We must hate the sin while loving the sinner. Therefore seek to restore one in the faith and teach them the power of love to overcome the burden of hatred. Then pray for those struggling in sin to have a Personal relationship with Jesus. This is how you love everyone.

  • #We know that we have passed from death unto life because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. 1 John 3:14

When we have love in our hearts for all the brothers, no matter what the colors, then we know that we have passed from death unto life because we love the brethren. However, he that loves not his brother abides in death. There are three kinds of death: spiritual death, physical death, and eternal death. When one rejected the love of Jesus Christ poured out on the cross for their sins they are spiritually dead, and if they do not repent of that unbelief they will die physically and ultimately burn in the Lake of Fire, which is eternal death. The evidence that you have received Jesus Christ as your Personal Savior is that you love the brethren. So if there is hatred in your heart toward your brothers or sisters, then you must repent of that sin, for no murderer has eternal life, and that is what you are if you hate your brother. Love covers a multitude of sins, so seek to have that agape love that believes all things, endures all things, hopes all things, for love never fails.

  • #Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hates you. 1 John 3:13

The apostle John is warning the Christians to beware that if the world hates you, to marvel not because it hated Jesus. The servant is not greater than the master, since they hated Jesus, they will hate his servants. Jesus told us to pray for those who would despitefully use us and to bless those who would curse us. So blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God. Thank God for all the love that neighbors are showing to their fellow neighbors in this frigid arctic blast that we have been going through and this is how we overcome hate by doing good to your neighbors. If you see someone suffering seek to comfort them with your love and you will win your neighbors' love.

  • #Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one and slew his brother, and wherefore did he slay him? Because his own works were evil and his brothers righteous. 1 John 3:12

Cain is of the wicked one the devil and he slew his brother Abel because his works were evil and Abel was righteous when he brought the blood atonement. He that hates his brother is a murderer just like Cain and if you have hatred in your heart toward your brother repent by asking God to forgive you. Love is the fruit of the Spirit and when you walk in love you are bearing fruits of righteousness that show that you are a child of God.

  • #For this is the message that ye have heard from the beginning that we should love one another. 1 John 3:11

The apostle John is the apostle of love as he tells the message that we have heard from the beginning that we should love one another. He is the disciple whom Jesus loved as he laid his head on Jesus's breast. We would do well to model this disciple as we must love one another as Jesus has commanded us to do. We are in the midst of an arctic blast with temperatures in the single digits and we must check on our brothers and sisters and make sure that they have a warm place to rest their heads. Thank the Lord that the weather will soon turn warmer so we just need to hold on until then. Climate change is causing these extreme temperature changes in the winter and the summer. We need to control the greenhouse gases that are causing these extreme weather changes. Thank the Lord for President Biden who is doing his best to address climate change and we are praying for his success. This is how we show love for another by caring for the environment.

  • #In this the children of God are manifest and the children of the devil whosoever doeth not righteousness are not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. 1 John 3:10

By this shall we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are. Whosoever does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother. Love is of God and whosoever loves is born of God. Therefore, he that hates his brother is a murderer and a child of the devil who is a murderer as well as a liar from the beginning. Little children love one another as God loves us. Jesus said a new commandment give I unto you that you love one another as I have loved you. Jesus Christ demonstrated his love for us in that while we yet sinners, Christ died on the cross for our sins. Now we have His righteousness imputed to our account. This is what manifests that we are children of God in that we love all the brothers as well as sisters.

  • #Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin for his seed remaineth in him and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 1 John 3:9

The proof of your being born of God is that you will not practice sin cause his seed remains in you and this is the evidence you have been born of God. We have an Advocate, Jesus Christ the anointed One, and he stands before the Father in heaven advocating for us. Does this mean that we live a perfect life? Well, even as Paul said I have not attained perfection but this one thing that I do, forgetting what is behind while pressing for the upward call of God in Christ Jesus the Lord. We are being sanctified daily by the power of the Holy Spirit and He keeps us holy as we walk in the Spirit. When Jesus returns for us in the epiphany we will receive our glorified bodies and be like Jesus. This is the blessed hope that we have as Christians so praise the name of Jesus on this Presidents Day.

  • #He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8

Happy Valentine's Day as we are in the midst of the coldest weather of the winter, so hug your loved ones to stay warm and protect the pipes, plants, as well as pets from this bitter cold. We are hitting the apex of the apostle John's teaching on righteousness and wickedness. Love is the fulfillment of the law, while whosoever commits sin is of the devil cause the devil sins from the beginning. This is why Jesus was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. God is love and whosoever is born of God sins not. He that is a child of the devil does not stop from sinning. The devil was created by God the beautiful son of the morning star and led the praise and worship in heaven but was lifted up in pride, then kicked out of heaven. He managed to persuade one- third of the angels to follow him, and these are the demons that we have to fight against. Put on the whole armor of God so that you may be able to stand against all the wiles of the devil. Jesus destroyed the devil on the cross when He totally disarmed him and defeated him. Now we have victory in Jesus and the devil has no power over us.

  • #Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 1 John 3:7

Little children is a term of endearment used by the apostle John to address the Christian people and the evidence that one is righteous is by a life of practicing righteousness, even as he is righteous. Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is where we receive imputed righteousness. The Holy Spirit sanctifies us through the reading of the word and through prayer. As we fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ we are cleansed daily of all sin by the blood of Jesus. Jesus said when two or three are together and agree on anything I am in their midst. This allows us to have fellowship twenty-four-seven in the Spirit. This is a blessing with this coronavirus pandemic that we are living in which has caused many churches to meet virtually and this is the foreknowledge of God that knew we would need to fellowship while being physically apart, while being together in the Spirit virtually. So no one has to be deceived as righteousness is possible even in a virtual setting.

  • #Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, either known him. 1 John 3:6

The evidence that one abides in Christ is that they do not practice sin: when one practices sin he has not seen him, either known him. To have an abiding faith in Jesus Christ is the scope of the Christian experience and fellowship with other brothers and sisters is the evidence of that. I pray in these days of the coronavirus pandemic that we will show our fellowship to others who are isolated due to the virus by calling them to show your love and respect for them. We as Christians must even have a good relationship with those who are outside of the body of Christ
