Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #And hereby we do know that we know Him if we keep his commandments. 1John 1:3

We know that we know the Father through the Son if we keep His commandments. Jesus said if you love me you will keep my commandments. This is not legalism for love is the fulfillment of the law and God is love. This is how we know we have been born of God. For Jesus said we must be born again to inherit the Kingdom of God. My little children if you are part of a hate group espousing hatred over the Internet this is not of God. Thank God that the Internet companies are doing something to curb hatred which caused the violet insurrection on the United States Capital by blocking members of these hate groups on these websites. We must pray to God to keep us safe in the midst of this political unrest and for a peaceful transfer of power to the Biden administration. Churches need to be careful not to be linked to these groups and speak the truth in love so that all those inside the body of Christ as well as outside know where we stand on these issues.

  • #And He is the propitiation for our sins and not ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.1John 2:2

Hilasterion the Greek word for propitiation which expiates our sins by the blood of Jesus. He is at the right hand of the Father in heaven interceding for us as a defense attorney. Jesus silences the accuser of our brethren, Satan, who accuses us day and night by telling him my blood has expiated all their sins. What a blessing this is as many people would not be able to hire an attorney to intercede for them, but God commends his love toward us by sending His Son to die on the cross for our sins. Not our sins only but for the sins of the whole world, yet we have to appropriate that grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Yom Kippur in the Septuagint is where Jehovah God takes care of the sin problem in the old testament looking forward to the Cross. The Jews had to sacrifice a lamb of the first-born of the flock which was a type of the Lord Jesus Christ. Let us pray for our nation and our President to call on the Lord to forgive and heal us from the events at the Nations Capital of January 6, 2021

  • #My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 1John 2:1

The apostle John is using this term of endearment for Christians by calling them little children, as we are children of God by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ the righteous Advocate that we have before the Father. Let us not sin and abuse the grace of God, for St. John says if any man sins, which denotes that we can live a holy and sinless life by the power of the Holy Spirit. Yet it is possible for us to sin and we have an Advocate the Lord Jesus Christ who intercedes for us before the Father. So let us pray to Jesus our Advocate to keep us sinless by living by the Spirit so that we will not yield to the lust of the flesh.

  • #If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar and his word is not in us. 1John 1:9,10

When we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. This is known as operation rebound as in basketball when the ball is shot and misses the goal, you rebound the ball and put it in the basket. This is what happens when we are truly penitent and by agreeing with God that we have sinned. If we say that we have not sinned, we make God a liar, which is not possible, and his word is not in us. So let us mortify our members by prostrating ourselves before God in prayer allowing the Holy Spirit is sanctifying us. What a blessing this is when we do this and fellowship in the Church is restored. This is how we become holy and righteous before God. So if you have sinned then confess your faults one to another so the blood of Jesus will cleanse us of all sin

  • #If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 1John 1:8

May the Lord have mercy upon the United States of America as we just witnessed an insurrection of the Capital of the United States of America and not since the war of 1812 when the British invaded has such a breach happened. Truly we all have sinned and need to confess our guilt before God. We as Americans must pray for the reconciliation of this great country to take place and if we Christians say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. We must work to rebuild this great Republic and work together for the peace and security of all Americans. Let us pray President Trump will do the right thing and leave the White House after his term has ended without any more insurrections. Thank God that Vice President Pence did his duty to confirm the election of President-Elect Biden and Vice President-Elect Karmala Harris. We must continue to pray for a peaceful transfer of power and that Christians work together to unite a divided country.

  • #But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.1John 1:7

We are cleansed from original and actual sin when we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin. This is the epidemy of holiness and we are blessed when we walk in fellowship. That is why Satan does all he can to keep us from walking in fellowship because of sin in the church. That is why it behooves us to decry all the schemes of the devil and walk in the light as he is in the light. If anyone is taken in sin, ye that are spiritual should seek to restore the one to fellowship, considering yourself, less ye should also be tempted. By doing this we keep the fellowship of the body of Christ in tack. When we assemble to take the Lord's Supper we must examine ourselves to make sure that we do not take it unworthily. We are cleansed by the blood of Jesus when we confess our sins to God. This is how the fellowship is maintained and the church is purified in Christ without spot or blemish.

  • #If we say that we have fellowship with Him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not the truth: 1John 1:6

The apostle John is telling us that if we say that we have fellowship with God, but walk in darkness, we lie and do not the truth because God is Light. We must be honest with ourselves for God knows all the truth about us. Churches are full of people that are dishonest and not walking in the truth. In order for us to have fellowship with the Father, we must repent of all known sins of commission as well as omission. When we do this our fellowship is restored and we are then walking in the Light of the word of God. It is my prayer that we will be convicted by this scripture and confess our faults one with the other so that we can be healed of our sin problem. If you are being unfaithful to your spouse, then repent and turn to faith in Jesus our Mediator between God and man. Be at peace with all men and follow holiness, for without holiness no man will see the Lord. When we do that we will no longer be walking in darkness but in the light.

  • #This then is the message which we have heard of him and declare unto you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 1John 1:5

God is light and there is no darkness at all in Him. He is absolute holiness, purity, and love. Jesus the Son of God is the express image of his person. In Jesus, we have fellowship with the Father and walk in the light to the glory of God. Thank God that we are complete in Him and have love, one with the other. Jesus came to reveal the Father to us and how we are to live in the light of His Word. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto our pathway. As we prepare to start the first week of 2021, let us pray to the Lord to give us the wisdom to walk in the light as He is the light of this world. We must give hope to a world in darkness so that they will see that we are sons of God and glorify our Father who is in heaven. May the Lord bless you to receive Him as your Personal Lord and Savior so that you will have the light of Lights in your life.

  • #And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. 1John 1:4

The joy of the Lord is our strength and the apostle John is writing unto us so that our joy can be full. In a world full of despair we need joy in our lives and that is what happens when we accept the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Savior. We have joy in the Lord and fellowship with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. My joy is complete every day I live to tell others what it is to have a personal relationship with the Father. It is my prayer that the Church from this time forward, will walk in the joy of the Lord in this pandemic. Many people are suffering from depression and Christians are not exempt from this illness. So be full of the Spirit and you will have joy in your lives even in a pandemic. My God is able to see that your joy is full and that you can walk circumspectly with the church of Jesus Christ.

  • #That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. 1 John 1:3

The Greek word for fellowship is Koinonia which is a cluster of grapes on a vine. That is the fellowship that we have with the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. By walking in the Light as He is in the Light we have fellowship one with another. In order for us to do that we must abide in the Vine, Jesus Christ, the one Mediator between God and man. What a blessing when we are walking in the light and the Blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us of all sin. We have peace with God the Father and with one another. I thank God for the Church that is walking in the Light of his Word and allowing brothers and sisters to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. The body of Christ is being nourished by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit is ministering to the believers with each spiritual gift.
