A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #My vineyard, which is mine, is before me: thou, O Solomon, must have a thousand and those that keep the fruit thereof two hundred. Song of Solomon 8:12

This is a picture of the Lord Jesus Christ who is the Lord of the vineyard and he has the cattle on a thousand hills. The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof. We are the workers in His vineyard and we must work until the Lord calls for us at the end of the day. What is right He will pay us. After we have done all that the Lord has told us to do, we shall say that we are unprofitable servants, for we only did that which was commanded unto us to do. We must listen to the voice of the Lord of the vineyard and work while it is the day, for when night shall come no man will be able to work.

  • #Solomon had a vineyard at Baal Hamon; he let out the vineyard unto keepers; every one for the fruit thereof was to bring a thousand pieces of silver. Song of Solomon 8::11

Baal Hamon was near Jerusalem and this is a picture of the Church and we are the workers that Jesus has called to work in. He told us to go out into the highways and byways to compel them to come into his kingdom. He will settle accounts with all the workers at the Bema Seat of Christ when He comes to set up His kingdom. And silver is what will be paid to the workers in the vineyard and we will cast our crowns at the feet of Jesus to magnify Him on the day of His visitation. Jerusalem will be the Capital of the Kingdom and the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus will reign for 1000 years and we will govern in the Kingdom of God.

  • #I am a wall and my breasts like towers: then was I in his eyes as one that found favor. Song of Solomon 8:10

The Shulamite bride was as a wall to Solomon her lover and husband. Her breast was like towers in his eyes and she found favor with him. Marriage is about romance and there should be Eros in your marriage. We are told in I Cor. 7 that the husband is to render due benevolence to the wife and the wife is to render due benevolence to her husband. When this is done marriage is beautiful and the only time this is not to be done is when you come apart for fasting and prayer. Then come together again lest ye be tempted. He that finds a good wife has favor with God.

  • #If she is a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver, and if she is a door, we will inclose her with boards of cedar. Song of Solomon 8:9

The sister being a wall is the Church as Jesus said I will build my Church upon this rock and the gates of hell shall not prevail against her. The Church is like silver tried in the furnace seven times and Jesus is the door to the Church. If anyone will open the door Jesus will come in and sup with thee and make His abode there. The cedar is symbolic of the cross where He purchased us with His blood and has cleansed us of all our sins. Now we are accepted in the beloved when we receive the gift of salvation by placing our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is my prayer that if you are suffering from mental illness and are in need of salvation, then receive the Son of God for He will set you free from your depression.

  • #We have a little sister and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for? Song of Solomon 8:8

This is a spiritual verse about the Church which consists of Jews and Gentiles will be engrafted in as a virgin girl has small breasts and when she is married to the Lord at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb she will be spoken for. This is why in the church when someone is married we always say they have been spoken for. What a term of endearment this is as breasts symbolize life-giving milk and we are to desire the sincere milk of the Lord so that we will grow up as spiritual babes. When we are full-grown we shall be able to eat the meat of the word of God which teaches us how to discern good and evil. Many people in the church never seem to grow up and still are on milk after being forty years in the church. We must go on to maturity so study the word of God every day so that we can grow up in our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • #Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be condemned. Song of Solomon 8:7

Solomon like the apostle Paul wrote about love as agape love never fails, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things, keeps no record of wrongs, and rejoices in the truth. So this is why many glasses of water cannot quench love. If I give my body to be burned and have not to love, it profits me nothing. Love suffers love and is not easily provoked. All the money in the world cannot buy love, so neither will all the substance of your house, for it would be utterly condemned. Love builds up, while knowledge puffs up. It is ok to have intellectual genius, but love is far better to have. If we have these worlds goods and see our brothers and sisters suffering how does not the love of God not move us to have compassion on them. Give and it shall be given unto you, it is more blessed to give than to receive. Just give love that agape love that is unconditional and will stand the test of time.

  • #Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame. Song of Solomon 8:6

Solomon has experienced the wrath of women loving on him with his wives and concubines. We can see why he says love is strong as death and jealousy is cruel as the grave. In Proverbs, he said jealousy is the wrath of a husband. I thank God that the Shulamite Bride has proven to be a virtuous wife and her husband can trust she will do the right thing. Who can find a good wife? a good wife comes from the Lord. Jealousy is the result of a wayward woman who brings her husband to a piece of bread. So pray to God to give you a Proverbs 31 wife and she will allow her husband to trust her heart is pure.

  • #Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? I raised thee up under the apple tree: there thy mother brought thee forth: there she brought thee forth that bare thee. Song of Solomon 8:5

Mental health is hereditary and it is important to know your parents' mental history so that you can know the scope of your susceptibility to becoming like them. Solomon was raised by his mother under the apple tree and her history with King David, his father was of mental exculpatory relief from a troubled marriage. Solomon was the wisest man ever who lived and we see that he had his trauma with many marriages and concubines. The Shulamite bride was his favorite wife that he loved more than all the others. This is why he could write in the book of Ecclesiates all is vanity and he concluded the whole duty of man is to fear God then keep His commandments.  Marriage is best lived when both spouses deal with their mental health dilemmas and remain faithful to their vows.

  • #I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, until he please. Song of Solomon 8:4

The Shulamite Bride calls out to the daughters of Jerusalem to not stir up, nor awake Solomon, her husband until he pleases. We get a picture of the church, the Bride of Christ, calling out to the lost world to turn from their sin and awake to righteousness as the Lord our Savior pleases. As we see the Day of Christ approaching we must provoke one another to love and good works. Jesus warned us that because iniquity would be unbound, the love of many would wax cold. So they will know that we are Christians by the love that we have one for another. We need this same love for the Lord Jesus Christ, that the Shulamite Bride has for Solomon. Whom the Son has set free is free indeed. Happy Independence Day and total dependence on the grace of God that brings salvation through Jesus Christ our Savior.

  • #O that thou wert as my brother, that sucked the breasts of my mother! when I should find thee without, I would kiss thee; yea, I should not be despised. Song of Solomon 8:1

The Shulamite bride wishes Solomon could have been as her brother that sucked her mother's breasts and she could kiss him. Yet the Shulamite bride is despised by the daughters of Jerusalem and she knows that jealousy is as cruel as the grave. This is a picture of the love that our Heavenly Father has for us, for He is a jealous God and we must not have any idols before thee. Marriage is holy and the bed undefiled, but fornicators and adulterers will be judged. So guard your heart and be like Job who made a covenant with his eyes not to lust upon a virgin. Marriage is to be between a man and his wife. Polygamy is not allowed which causes jealousy and a double-minded man who is unstable in all his ways. God winked at this in the old testament, but in the new testament, only monogamy is allowed.
