Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #It is good for a man that he bears the yoke in his youth. Lamentations 3:27

The Hebrew word for yoke is Ol; meaning a yoke. Or Mowl; from Alal; a yoke (as imposed on the neck) literally or figuratively. The meaning of Alal is to effect thoroughly, to glean, mock, practice abuse, to overdo, maltreat be saucy to  Exodus 10:2 And that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son's son, what things I have wrought in Egypt and my signs which I have done among them: that ye may know how that I am the LORD. Jehovah God wanted Moses to teach his son and grandson, how they had to suffer in Egypt mistreatment, so that they would know how Jehovah delivered them. There are some things we can only learn as young men. This is why the Apostle Paul told the church not to appoint as pastor a novice in the faith. There needs to be time to bear the yoke of affliction in your youth so that you can be able to appreciate the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. I learned early about sufferings and hardships as a boy, for I had to work as a dishwasher in a restaurant at the age of 16 and give money to support my Mom and Dad. It is a blessing to me that I did that for I learned why the scripture said the parents are not to lay up for the children, but the children for the parents. This teaches us to honor our father and mother all the days of our lives. This commandment comes with a blessing as it will do well with thee. and thou shalt live a long life. Moses learned as a young man at forty that he was not ready to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt when he slew the Egyptian and had to flee to his father-in-law Jethrow in the desert for forty years. It was at eighty that Moses was ready to lead the children of Israel  May the Lord touch the young men today to learn to endure hardness as a good soldier of the Lord Jesus Christ, as Paul told the young minister Timothy to do.

  • #It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. Lamentations 3:26

The Hebrew word for hope is Yachil; meaning expectant. This verb is in the imperfect tense, but very dubious. The Hebrew word Yachal means to wait, to be patient, and to hope. A  primitive root, to wait, by implication(cause to have, make to) be pained, stay, tarry, trust, and wait. This is what Jehovah God wants us to do while we are waiting for our salvation. It is assured for it is promised by God, and He is not a man, that He could lie. So we have this hope as a consolation to the soul. Hebrews 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie; we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: 2 Corinthians 1:7 And our hope of you is steadfast, knowing that as ye are partaking of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation. As the coming of the Lord is sure and He will come as a thief in the night. So be ye also ready, for at a time when ye think not the Lord will come. Israel is the fig tree, and we are told to watch the fig tree, meaning summer is near when the leaves bud. 1948 Israel became a nation, and in 1967 Jerusalem was captured. So all that is left is for the building of the third temple, and then the false messiah will come with a seven-year peace treaty. This will be the time of Jacob's trouble. We must watch for the Rapture of the church for this is imminent, and the next thing to take place on God's calendar of events. Ever so come Lord Jesus.

  • #The LORD is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh Him. Lamentations 3:25

The Hebrew word for seeketh is Darash; meaning to tread, frequent, follow, worship, or make inquisition. Ezra 10:16 And the children of the captivity did so. And Ezra the priest, with certain chief of the fathers, after the house of their fathers, and all of them by their names, were separated and sat down on the first day of the tenth month to examine the matter. Jehovah God is good unto them that wait for Him. As Ezra had to seek and worship the Lord in correcting the men that hath taken strange wives. And among the sons of the priests, there were that had taken strange wives namely, the sons of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak and his brethren; Maaseiah, and Eliezer, and Jarib, and Gedaliah. And they gave their hands that they would put away their wives and being guilty, they offered a ram of the flock for their trespass. As we prepare to celebrate the Passover, let us give thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ who offered His body on the cross as a sin offering for us. so that we no longer have to sacrifice a ram for our trespasses. We can worship the Lord with the fruit of our lips giving thanks to Him for being the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world..

  • #The LORD is my portion, saith my soul: therefore will I hope in Him. Lamentations 3:24

The Hebrew word for portion is Cheleq; tract, territory. From Chalaq; meaning properly, smoothness ( of the tongue) also an allotment or inheritance. or part. Joshua 18:5 And they shall divide it into seven parts: Judah shall abide in their coast on the south and the house of Joseph shall abide in their coasts in the north. Jeremiah is saying Jehovah God is my inheritance; therefore I will hope in Him. We will spend eternity in the mansions He is preparing for us. Jesus said I go away to prepare a place for you, and I will come again to receive you for myself, that where I am, ye shall be there also. It has been 2000 years that the Lord has been preparing Heaven as our eternal home for us. We will not have to divide it because God has a mansion for all his children. Jesus told us to occupy until He comes again. We are seeing the signs of the fig tree, as the leaves are budding as summer is near. Let us pray for the peace of Jerusalem for it is the city for the King of kings and Lord of Lords. We will soon be called up hither to forever be with the Lord; so let us comfort one another with these words. Remember the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. We are not sorrowful as those who have no hope. For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, the voice of an arcangel, and the trumpet of God, then the dead in Christ shall be raised first, then we who are alive shall be changed in a moment in the twinkling of an eye and shall be caught up in the clouds to forever be with the Lord. This is the Blessed hope of the Church and all those who place their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Personal Savior.

  • #They are new every morning, great is thy faithfulness. Lamentations 3:23

The Hebrew word for faithfulness is Emunah; meaning firmness, steadfastness, fidelity; literally firmness, figuratively, morally fidelity. Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted is not upright in him, but the just shall live by his faith. The mercies of the Lord are new every morning, for great is thy faithfulness, and merciful kindness toward those who place their faith in Him. For we walk by faith and not by sight. Therefore, we do not need to be proud or arrogant, for the Lord knows the way of the righteous. Yet the way of the wicked will perish. That is why we have firmness and steadfastness in our faith in the Lord. He will never leave us, nor forsake us, but will be with us until the end of the age. So think about His love, think about His goodness, for He sustains us when we are weak. Bless the Lord O my soul and all that is within me praise ye the Lord. Just like the prodigal, who left his father's house and wasted his substance on prodigal living and ended up in the pigpen, then he said I shall return to my father's house. The faithfulness of the Heavenly Father forgives us and restores us. It is my prayer that if you are in the far country, you will come home to the heavenly Father, and He will with open arms receive you, and kiss you.

  • #It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed because His compassion fails not. Lamentations 3:22

The Hebrew word for compassion is Racham; meaning tender love; by extension, the womb (as cherishing the fetus) by implication, a maiden, or damsel, tender love and pity. Genesis 20:18 For the LORD had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah, Abraham's wife. We see the compassion of Jehovah's God by not allowing Abimelech to go into Sarah, Abraham's wife because he was told that she was his sister. This was a half-lie, as she was his half-sister. Nevertheless, God closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech. This shows us the tender mercy of the Lord God, by not allowing the lineage of the Messiah to be polluted. It is of Jehovah God's mercies that we are not consumed, for all have sinned and fallen short of perfection, which the Law demands. Jesus became sin for us at Mount Calvary, so that we could receive imputed righteousness which comes by faith. Abraham was the father of faith, and we see that he had shortcomings too. There is, therefore, now no condemnation unto those in Christ Jesus who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. This verse is where the great hymn of the Church" Great is thy faithfulness" comes from. Thank God that His mercies are unto all generations.

  • #This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. Lamentations 3:21

The Hebrew word for mind is Leb; the heart, the feelings, the will, and the intellect. Proverbs 23:15 My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine. Jeremiah is pondering all the thoughts in his mind, as the weeping prophet. He learned that when we recall the mind, all those feelings, of the will, and the heart come to our intellect. We are told to ponder the path of life and to keep thy heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life. When we do this we will have hope and not anxiety. Learn to have thick skin so that you can endure hardness as a good soldier of the Lord Jesus Christ. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God, to the pulling down of strongholds in the mind. Whatsoever things are pure, lovely, if there be any virtue, then think upon these things. Thou wilt keep thee in perfect peace, who keeps their mind stayed on Jesus.

  • #My soul hath them still in remembrance and is humbled in me. Lamentations 3;20

The Hebrew word for soul is Nephesh; meaning a living being or person. From Naphash; properly a breathing person is used verily in a literal accommodated or figurative sense. Ecclesiastes 4:2 Wherefore I praised the dead who are already more than the living who are yet alive. Solomon is aware of the soul, for after death the soul is more alive than the living, for the soul when you believe in Jesus Christ as your Personal Savior goes to heaven to be forever with the Lord. The body returns to the dust and is asleep, awaiting the glorified body in the first resurrection. The soul of the unbeliever goes to Hades, where it awaits eternal judgment at the Great White Throne Judgment where the books will be opened and all those whose names are not found in the Lamb Book of Life will be cast into the Lake of Fire, this is the second death. Jeremiah is humbled in his soul for those who have perished and did not accept Jesus as their Savior. Now is the day of salvation. Your souls will live forever, either in heaven with the Lord Jesus Christ or in Hell in the Lake of Fire. Choose ye life, that ye and your seed may live. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life. Whosoever that calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

  • #Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall. Lamentation 3:19

The Hebrew word for wormwood is Laanah; meaning Hemlock. From an unused root which means to curse; The Hebrew word for gall is Rosh; meaning a poisonous plant, the poppy; This all speaks of the Lord Jesus Christ hanging on Mount Calvary, for He became a curse for us on the tree. He fulfilled Genesis 3:15 the seed of the woman that would bruise the head of the serpent, who is Satan. Thank God that Jesus did not come down from the cross, but He suffered death, as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Jeremiah 9:14 But have walked after the imagination of their own heart and after Baalim, which their fathers taught them. This is why Jesus had to suffer for us on the cross, for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and the LORD laid on Him the iniquity of us all. Let us praise the Lamb for He is worthy of all our praises. Revelation 8:11 And the name of the star is  Wormwood and the third part of the waters became Wormwood and many men died of the waters because they were made bitter. In the Great Tribulation God will judge the Christ-forsaking world with Wormwood, the star that will fall from heaven and cause the waters to become bitter. All this is because they did not receive the love of the truth, and they will receive strong delusion to believe the lies of the antichrist. The children of Israel played with idolatry and this is why God sent wormwood and gall to them. This is a warning to us as the Prophet Isaiah said who hath believed our report, and to whom hath the hand of the Lord appeared? Jesus was wounded for our transgressions, and the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes, we are healed. So if you do not want the bitter water of wormwood, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved and thine house.
