Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #He hath built against me and compassed me with gall and travail. Lamentations 3:5

Yes, today is Mauday Thursday, the day our Lord washed the disciples' feet after taking communion. Let us remember He said if I being your Lord, and Master doeth this, then blessed are you to do likewise. The Hebrew word for gall is Rosh, meaning bitter and poisonous herb, venom, the poppy, a poisonous plant. Psalm 69:22 Let their table become a snare before them and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap. This speaks of Jesus the Messiah going before them to die on the Cross for the sins of the world. The Cross to them that are perishing is foolishness, but to those who believe salvation.

  • #My flesh and my skin hath he made old; he hath broken my bones. Lamentations 3:4

The Hebrew word for flesh is Basar; meaning the body, the pudenda of a man. to be fresh, cheerful, and bring tidings Jeremiah 20:15 Cursed be the man who brought tidings to my father, saying a man child is born unto thee; making him very glad. Jeremiah is crying out for God to avenge him of his enemies who have made his skin old, and broken his bones. Thank God as we celebrate Holy Week that Jesus said if I am lifted up, I will draw all men unto Me. Let us tell someone of the love of God, who sent His Son into the world not to condemn the world, but that we should be saved. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved and thine house. Though the outward man is perishing, the inward man is being renewed. God has a body in heaven waiting for us, that will look just like Jesus so let us rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice. Vengeance is mine said the Lord and let us pray for the salvation of our enemies.

  • #Surely against me is He turned; He turneth His hand against me all the day. Lamentations 3:3

The Hebrew word for hand is Yad; meaning armholes, axletree, border; Zephaniah 3:13-17 The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down and none shall make them afraid. Sing O daughter of Zion: shout O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem. The LORD hath taken away thy judgments, He hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more. In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack. The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; He will save; He will rejoice over thee with joy; He will rest in His love, He will joy over thee with singing. The hand of Jehovah God is mighty to save and in the last days, Jesus will set up His kingdom on earth with His mighty right hand and rest in His love for Israel, and joy in the capital of the world Jerusalem. Let us pray for the peace of Jerusalem. The border is being bombarded now, but on that day there will be peace, for the Prince of Peace shall be ruling forevermore. What a wonderful day to hear the Lord Jesus singing Peace be still, let Zion rest in the Lord and joy over their salvation.

  • #He hath me and brought me into darkness but not into light. Lamentations 3:2

The Hebrew word for darkness is Choshek; meaning dark, misery, destruction, death, ignorance, sorrow, and wickedness.  From Chaskak; the dark (literally) obscurity. Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. We are in the Holy Week as Jesus has just made His triumphant entry into Jerusalem, yet darkness will be upon the earth as the same Jews who were crying out Hosana in the highest will be saying crucify Him. Jesus came to take us out of darkness into the light of forgiveness through the blood He would shed on the cross for our sins. Just as when Elohem moved upon the face of the waters, we find forgiveness for our sins when we move into fellowship by baptism in the Spirit through Jesus our Mediator in the New Covenant shed in His blood. Jesus is the light of the world and whosoever follows Him will not walk in darkness but will have eternal light by the Spirit. My prayer for you today is to get in tune with the Spirit of God through the fellowship of the Church. If we walk in the Light as He is in the Light we will have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus will cleanse us of all sin. For God is Light and there is no darkness in Him. As the Psalmist said he leads me by the still waters and into green pastures for His name's sake. Yay though I walk through the valley and shadow of death I will fear no evil for thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff comfort me. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

  • #Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: He is just and having salvation; lowly and riding upon an ass and upon a colt the foal of an ass. Zechariah 9:9

The Hebrew word for salvation is Yasha; meaning to be open, to deliver, to succor, avenging. A primitive root; is properly to be open wide or free, i.e. causatively to succor and avenging, preserve, and rescue. We see why the Jews were so excited, shouting Hosanna in the highest, and spreading palm branches. They thought the Messiah had come to deliver them from the Romans and to set up His kingdom. We have Purim and Palm Sunday coming at the same time as this is a great celebration. Queen Esther delivered the Jews from annihilation at the hands of wicked Haman, While Jesus came to deliver all mankind from their sins. Five days from today they will be shouting crucify Him on Good Friday. Isaiah 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He hath put Him to grief: when thou shalt make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong  His days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand. This is the blessing that He has rescued Jews and Gentiles from sin and we can crown Him King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He is just and the justified of many lowly and having salvation for all who will believe in Him. I pray that you will have a good Palm Sunday and Purim at the same time. Let us love one another, for love is of God and He has commanded that we love our neighbors as we love ourselves.

  • #Esther 4:14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this? Happy Purim Day!

The Hebrew word for enlargement is Revach; meaning a space or interval, respite, and relief. Jehovah God placed Esther in the kingdom for such a time as this. Mordecai, her uncle had wisely told her that if she kept quiet and held her peace at such a time as this, then God would find someone else to fulfill respite and relief for the Jews, then she and her father's house would be destroyed. Thank God Esther had the faith to believe in God for salvation and deliverance for the Jews. There is still a wicked Haman in this world today, and the war with Hamas and Israel has -revealed that with all the anti-Semitic talk going on. Esther called a fast and she went into the King's chambers without being called, which meant certain death. Yet she was willing to die to save the Jews. This is why we celebrate Purim today and tomorrow for her faith and courage. We need more women like Esther who will stand in the middle and seek to save the family from being torn apart. Satan came to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus has come that we may have life and that more abundantly. So let us pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for they shall prosper who do so. Also, let us pray for another Esther to save the United States of America.

  • Our prayers go out for Princess Kate Middleton's illness and that Jehovah Rapha will heal her for He is our Great Doctor in Heaven.

  • #I am the man that hath seen affliction by the rod of His wrath. Lamentations 3:1

The Hebrew word for affliction is Oniy; meaning poverty, depression, i.e. misery From Anah; meaning to be bowed down. to chasen self, and deal hardly with. Psalm 116:10 I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted. Jeremiah is truly the weeping prophet who can understand all those feelings, as he has been treated like the lowest, but God has demonstrated His great love to him for preaching the truth in deadly criticism. We are living in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah thus to speak the truth, means being willing to be ostracized. Isaiah 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste. 2 Timohy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are His. And let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. God uses affliction as a fire, that removes all the dross out of our lives, As the Psalmist said if is good that I have been afflicted, for now I keep His law. Psalms 93:5 Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, forever. Zechariah 12:1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens and layeth the foundations of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. Let us remember the words of Esther who knows but that God has brought us into the kingdom for such a time as this? Shine for Jesus and men shall see your good works and glorify the Father in heaven.

  • #Thou hast called as in a solemn day my terrors round about, so that in the day of the LORD's anger none escaped nor remained: those that I have swaddled and brought up hath mine enemy consumed. Lamentations 2:22

The Hebrew word for swaddled is Taphach, meaning to flatten out; from Tephach; meaning dangling on the palms. To spread the hand, i.e. architecturally. Psalm 39:1-8 My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spake I with my tongue, LORD, make me know mine end and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am. Behold, thou hast made my days as a handbreadth, and my age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah. Surely every man walketh in a vain show: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches and knoweth not who shall gather them. And now Lord, what wait I for? My hope is in thee. Deliver me from all my transgressions: make me not the reproach of the foolish. We had better heed the words of the Psalmist, as our days are short and it is appointed unto man once to die, and then the judgment. Pray for the Lord to apply your heart to wisdom. Our only hope is in Jehovah Jireh, our provider, who gives us good and perfect gifts. So let us use our time on earth to the glory of God and win some souls to Jesus our Mediator before the Father.

  • #The young and the old lie on the ground in the streets: my virgins and my young men are fallen by the sword; thou hast slain them in the day of thine anger; thou hast killed and not pitied. Lamentations 2:21

The Hebrew word for anger is Aph; the nose, nostril the face of a person. From Anaph; properly and occasionally a person (from the rapid breathing in passion) ire, anger in their countenance. Aramaic, the face. Joshua 7:1 But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing and the anger of the LORD was kindled against the children of Israel. Jehovah God has judged the children of Israel, by allowing their enemies to slay the young men, and old in the streets, along with their virgins. We must judge ourselves lest we will be judged. God is not willing that any would perish but that all men come to the knowledge of the truth. It is the truth that sets us free from the bondage of sin. We must continue in the word of God and be careful to keep all of it with our whole hearts.
