Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this Child. And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:17-19

The Virgin Mary pondered in her heart all the things which the shepherds told her concerning the Child, the Lord Jesus Christ. This shows us how focused she was on the word of the Lord. We too need to focus on God's word so that we can be effective messengers of the Good News that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. As Paul said I am the chief of sinners, but God commended His love for us, in that while we were sinners, Christ died for us. The just for the unjust. This is pure love and grace alone that has saved us from our sins. That is the message of Christmas that God loved us enough to send us His only begotten Son to save us from our sins and He used shepherds to deliver the message to us. Will you be a shepherd as our Elder brother the Lord Jesus told Peter to feed my sheep? We show our love for the Lord Jesus when we feed the sheep.

  • #And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And Lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be unto all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:8-11

Angels were singing glory to God in the Highest, peace on earth goodwill to all men on whom His favor stands. For Shepherds were abiding in the field at night keeping watch over their flock, who were the least among men in the Jewish world. So God chose to bring His Son into the world in the presence of Shepherds since the Lord Jesus would be the Great Shepherd of His sheep. For He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. And the Shepherds made haste and found Mary and Joseph and the Babe lying in the manger. And when they had seen it they made known this thing abroad. We too like the Shepherds should make known Jesus to the world. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever would believe in Him would not perish, but would have eternal life. Thank God that He loved us so much to give us His Son, the Saviour of the world to come as a Babe that makes a woman cry. Rejoice with the angels of the Lord and the Shepherds too singing glory to God in the Highest.

  • #And she brought forth her firstborn Son and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes and laid Him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. Luke 2:7

    • As Joseph took his espoused wife Mary to Bethlehem to pay their taxes, because of the decree by Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed. It was the will of God the Father for this to happen because Joseph was of the house and lineage of David, and since Jesus is to rule from Jerusalem on the throne of David, thus it was the providential will of God for all this to happen. Meanwhile, Mary wrapped the Babe the Lord Jesus Christ in swaddling clothes because there was no room for them in the inn. What a surprise since the prophecy by Isaiah that a Virgin would conceive and bring forth a Son,700 years in advance, there should have been room for Jesus. Sadly today, still there is no room for Jesus as the world is busy with all the parties, and drinking, no room for Jesus. My friend please do not get caught up in all the debauchery that goes on at Christmas time, but make sure there is room for Jesus in your heart. For He is coming again and it could be this Christmas with healing in His wings as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
  • #And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost and prophesied saying Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for He hath visited and redeemed His people, and hath raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David; as He spake by the mouth of His holy prophets, which have been since the world began: that we should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all that hate us;To perform the mercy promised to our fathers and to remember His holy covenant, The oath which He swore to our father Abraham. Luke 1:67-73

Thank God as He spoke through the mouth of Zacharias after he praised Jehovah God for delivering John the Baptist, the forerunner of the Lord Jesus Christ now we can have peace with all men and be saved from the hand of all that hate us. I want to thank all those who prayed for my Mom while she was in hospice and she has gone home to be with the Lord. She is rejoicing in the arms of Jesus with my father, her lifetime companion on earth for 62 years. May the Lord bless you richly my beloved and enjoy this Christmas with family and friends.

  • #And they made signs to his father, how he would be called. And he asked for a writing table and wrote, saying, His name is John, And they marveled all. And his mouth was opened immediately and his tongue loosed and he spake, and praised God. And fear came on all that dwelt round about them and all these sayings were noised abroad throughout all the hill country of Judea. Luke 1:60-65

Zacharias confirmed that the child's name would be John and immediately his tongue was loosed. All praises belong to God almighty Blessed be the Lord God of Israel: for He hath visited and redeemed his people, and hath raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his father David; As he spake by the mouth of His holy prophets, which have been since the world began: Salvation only is of the Lord Jehovah, so let us give Him glory this Advent season. O death where is thy sting? O grave where is thy victory? For the sting of death is the sin, but thanks are unto God who gives us the victory through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Now we have hope at the graveside of our loved ones who are in Jesus Christ.

  • #Now Elisabeth's full time came that she should be delivered and she brought forth a son. And her neighbors and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her and they rejoiced with her. And it came to pass, that on the eight day they came to circumcise the child and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father. And his mother answered and said not so, but he shall be called John. Luke 1:57-60

The Lord had shown great kindness to Elisabeth and she was faithful to name the child John as the angel Gabriel had told her.Obedience is the key to future blessing in the Lord and God used the birth of John to test the hearts of Zacharias and his wife Elisabeth. This tells us to not be weary of doing good, for in due season ye shall reap if you faint not. And the mouth of Zacharias was opened immediately and his tongue loosed and he spake and praised God. That is what we must always do in the midst of the storms of life, praise God. My mother is in hospice care and my sister and I went to see her, I prayed, read scripture, and anointed her head with oil of joy. Weeping may be in the night, but joy comes in the morning. Thank God because the Savior Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary we have hope from the manger to the cross and the empty tomb. So rejoice forevermore Jesus is alive and because He lives we shall live also.

  • #For He that is mighty hath done to me great things and holy is His name. And His mercy is on them that fear Him from generation to generation. He hath shewed strength with His arm: He hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He hath put down the mighty from their seats and exalted them of low degree. He hath filled the hungry with good things and the rich He hath sent empty away. Luke 1:49-53

The Virgin Mary is exalting the Lord Almighty for exalting the lowly and sending the rich away empty-handed. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled. Praise God that He has extended mercy to the merciful and scattered the proud in the imagination of their foolish hearts. This Yuletide season does not get caught up in the debauchery, but instead, magnify the Lord as the Virgin Mary has done. It is a blessing to be with family, but remember our Lord was born in a manger, where oxen were loing and shepherds were guarding their flocks. The angels were singing glory to God in the Highest, peace on earth, good will toward men. Be a peacemaker this Advent season and do not give the devil a chance to sow strife in your life. Glorify God in the Highest. Stay sober and get over your heartaches of the year and thank God for your family, as well as your friends.

  • #For lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her by the Lord. And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior. Luke 1:44-47

Elisabeth is surprised that the Virgin Mary would come to see her first and how the babe, John the Baptist, leaped for joy in her womb. For she told the Virgin Mary blessed is she who has believed, for the Lord shall perform all those things that He had said. The Virgin Mary is elated and rejoices by saying my soul doth magnify the Lord, my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior. Jehovah God has exalted the Virgin Mary because of her humility, For He hath regarded the low estate of His handmaiden: for behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. That is why we always say the Blessed Virgin Mary today as the mother of the Lord Jesus. For she is most blessed among all women. For she has taught us how to be the humble handmaiden of the Lord. Thank God we will see her in heaven with the Lord when we all get to heaven what a glorious day that will be. Rejoice now this Christmas season and give God all the glory for this most beloved Christmas story.

  • #And Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda; and entered into the house of Zacharias and saluted Elisabeth. And it came to pass, that when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: Luke 1:39-41

Dr. Luke tells the intimate details of this story just like a medical doctor would, for the babe John the Baptist leaped in the womb of Elisabeth at the sixth month when he heard the salutation of the Virgin Mary. His mother Elisabeth was full of the Holy Ghost as the Virgin Mary was saluting her and she spoke out blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. Elisabeth knew that she was in the midst of royalty so she saluted the Virgin Mary the way one would salute the royal family. How we wish we could have been there to behold that moment. She felt honored that the mother of our Lord would come to her, for this was confirmation to the Virgin Mary of the faithfulness of God. So take out time to give thanks to God this Advent season at the miracle of Christmas that Christ became a Babe that makes a woman cry and praise the Lord Most High. For salvation was in the womb of the Virgin Mary and John the Baptist as a babe leaped for joy at the mention of the Virgin Mary to Elisabeth. The Babe that was to be born in a manger was destined to die on a Cross for the salvation of all mankind. So we have the birth, death, and resurrection of our Lord all in the Christmas story.

  • #Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born fo thee shall be called the Son of God. Luke 1:34,35

Gabriel answered the Virgin Mary's question by telling her the Holy Ghost shall come upon thee and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee. This is Jehovah God the triune God in the third person of the Trinity shall overshadow thee. The Virgin Mary immediately believes, for the angel assured her that nothing is impossible with God. When the Virgin Mary said Behold the handmaid of the Lord, be unto to me according to thy word, the angel departed her, knowing that his work was done. We too can expect God to move in a mighty way in the second Advent as He did in the first Advent, so we should be ready to receive angelic host into our presence. As the scripture tells us to be careful to entertain strangers for some have entertained angels unawares. Thank God that He has given us His word and we can read it every day and the Holy Spirit will illumine our hearts to believe every word of God cause forever thy Word is settled in heaven. Thank God that the Highest came to the lowly, who slowly believed and the Word was conceived. Just as Elisabeth conceived in her old age, she who was barren has a son. All things are possible with those who believe every word of the Lord.
