Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #And the devil taking Him up into a high mountain shewed unto Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto Him, All this power I will give thee and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me and to whomsoever, I will give it. If thou, therefore, wilt worship me, all shall be thine. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God and Him only shalt thou serve. Luke 4:5-8

Did you not know that Adam handed all these kingdoms over to Satan in the Garden of Eden when he disobeyed the Lord. So the devil is using his ill-gotten gains to try to tempt the Lord Jesus. Jesus did not dispute that the devil had that power, He simply uses another Rhema word of the Lord that it is written, thou shalt worship the Lord thy God and Him only shalt thou serve. The first Adam failed to worship the Lord God in the Garden of Eden in a moment of disobedience and handed over the kingdoms of this world to the devil. Jesus the last Adam is worshipping the Lord God by denying the devil his temptation. Thank God Jesus has taught us how to defeat the devil at his own game. Jesus uses what Jehovah God has given Him in worship to beat the devil and his temptation that he used on Adam in the Garden of Eden. Jesus the last Adam is victorious and glorious in victory because He worships God. We too can be victorious when we worship the Lord God also. So go worship the Lord today in the fellowship of the saints at Church and give God all the glory for what He is doing in your life. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, for Jesus is worthy of all of our praises. Celebrate Martin Luther King weekend by remembering the dream. God wants Jews and Gentiles to praise the name of Jesus. Be a servant of God and follow the way of peace and holiness with all men. Choose the way of peace and non-violence for change in the world today. Thank God one day the Prince of Peace will come back and set up His Kingdom in Jerusalem, the eternal Capital of Israel. Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called children of God.

  • #And the devil said unto Him if thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. Luke 4:3,4

The devil deals with His physical need for food, knowing the Jesus is hungry after not eating forty days. Jesus knowing the scriptures quotes Deut. 8:3 that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. Jesus is the Son of God, as the devil trying to make it look like if He was the Son of God, command the stone to become bread. Jesus does not have to prove His deity, for He is the Son of God, that is why the devil has no chance to succeed in tempting Him. This is the principle for us to overcome the temptation to quote scripture. For when the devil comes to us, there is something in us to tempt us, so we must use a Rhema word from God to be successful. The Rhema word is the sword of the Spirit which is our offensive weapon to use against the devil.

  • #And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness. Being forty days tempted by the devil. And in those days He did eat nothing and when they were ended, He afterward hungered. Luke 4:1,2

Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit into the wilderness, right after His baptism and He did not eat for forty days being tempted by the devil. Jesus will use Rhema words to confront the devil in His temptations. We can learn a lot from the Lord Jesus how to be victorious in our temptations. For the devil comes to us at our weakest points, so we need to be all prayed up at all times. Knowing that no temptation comes unto us except what is common to us and God will not tempt us beyond what we can bear, but will with the temptation provide an escape so that we can bear it. This is the promise that we have and we too can be victorious over temptation.

  • #Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God. Luke 3:38

Dr. Luke gives the genealogy of the Lord Jesus Christ all the way to Adam, being the righteous seed that proves He is the Son of God, as well as the Son of man. In His hypostatic union, He is very God of God, as well as a very man of man. Jesus is the only perfect man, and this is why the virgin birth is so important, for we get our nature from our father. The Holy Spirit impregnated Mary, so she would give birth to the seed that would bruise the serpent's head, while the serpent would bruise His heal. Gen.3:15 This was promised in the garden of Eden that Jesus would be the son of Adam that would restore Adam's race back to God. For in Adam all die, so in the Last Adam, the Lord Jesus Christ, all are made alive. On the Cross, Satan bruised the heal of the Lord Jesus, but Jesus forever bruised the head of the serpent, Satan and he is forever defeated, as well as judged awaiting his sentence in the Lake of Fire. So we see how Jesus in Revelation 5 has the right to take the title deed to this world that was handed over to Satan by the first Adam in the Garden of Eden. Jesus, the last Adam, defeated the last temptation in the Garden of Gethsemani when He said not my will, but that thy will be done. So He is coming back as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and the Government shall be on His shoulders. He shall rule from sea to sea and the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord. So praise Him today, for He alone is worthy of all our praises.

  • #Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized and praying, the heaven was opened. And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon Him and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee, I am well pleased. Luke 3:21,22

Just before John the Baptist was put in prison by Herod the tetrarch being reproved by him for Herodias his brother Philip's wife and for all the evils which Herod had done, he shut up John in prison. So the Holy Spirit descended in dove form on the Lord Jesus and the voice from heaven of the Heavenly Father saying thou art my beloved Son; in thee, I am well pleased. John did not feel worthy to baptize Jesus, for he said I need to be baptized of thee, but Jesus said suffer all righteousness to be fulfilled. We see that water baptism is important as an outward showing of our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and therefore we must be baptized in keeping with the commandment. This was the beginning of the ministry of the Lord Jesus at the age of thirty.

  • #Whose fan is in His hand and He will thoroughly purge His floor and will gather the wheat into His garner but the chaff He will burn with fire unquenchable. And many other things in His exhortation preached he unto the people. Luke 3:17,18

John the Baptist is a fiery prophet and he tells it like it is, by saying God will bring into His barn by thoroughly purging His floor and will gather the wheat by separating it from the chaff. He will burn with fire unquenchable. This is a warning to all those who are pretenders and not true believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. Wheat looks like tares, but after close examination it is distinguished. Make sure your election is sure, for the angels will separate the chaff from the wheat at the end of the age. Pray every day and read the word of God so that you can get closer to the Lord. We have been prodigals at various times in our lives, it is time for the prodigals to come home. Look the harvest is white, pray that the Lord of the harvest will send out workers into His vineyard. Thank God for John the Baptist who told the truth that sets us free.

  • #And as the people were in expectation and all men mused in their hearts of John whether he was the Christ, or not; John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose, He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire. Luke 3:15,16

John the Baptist is answering the people as to whether he was the Christ and said I am not worthy to unloose the latchet of His shoes, He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire. John is being very humble and knows that he is an unworthy servant as all of us are. We are just doing what our Master requires of us to be faithful in His service. We must confess our faults one to another and walk in the Spirit so that we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. May the Lord help us to live for Him in this sin-sick world that needs Jesus. We must remain humble in the service of our Lord and be faithful to Him every day of our lives.

  • #Then came also publicans to be baptized and said unto him, Master, what shall we do? And he said unto them Exact no more than that which is appointed you. Luke 3:12,13

John the Baptist is speaking to what today would be called IRS collectors of tax and telling them to show true repentance, they should not collect more taxes than is required by the tax code. In that day tax collectors were the most hated people because they collected more taxes than they were supposed to. Thank God that Mathew was a tax collector and became a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. This shows us that God is requiring us to render to Ceasar that which is Ceasar's and to render to the Lord, that which is the Lord's. So with the tax season upon us now, let us pay our taxes as the Lord would have us to do, and give to the work of the Lord. For the Lord loves a cheerful giver.

  • #Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bring forth, therefore, fruits worthy of repentance and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father, for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. Luke 3:7,8
John is using the metaphor raising up stones unto Abraham, in his message as a warning that God would turn unto the Gentiles as the wild olive shoot that would engraft them in. The religious leaders were offended that John was using such words to them for repentance. John is preparing the way for the Lord Jesus Christ. This is a blessing to the Gentiles, for the unbelief of the Jews would lead to the salvation of the Gentiles. We are the blessing of the Jews, for this is about to be the beginning of the Church Age in which
God would be baptizing Jews and Gentiles into the Body of Christ. John is a fiery prophet and does not fear who he will offend. That is just the type of preachers that God looks for.

  • #Every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill shall be brought low and the crooked shall be made straight and the rough ways shall be made smooth, and all flesh shall see the salvation of God. Luke 3:5,6

John is proclaiming the good news of the Messiah and how He will fill every mountain and the hills shall be brought low. Praise God all flesh will see the salvation of God. This is the type of good news that we need to hear in a world filled with darkness. May the light of the Lord shine in your hearts my brothers and sisters in Christ.
