Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, and He was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end. And they said Lord, behold here are two swords. And He said unto them it is enough. And He came out and went as He was accustomed to the mount of Olives and His disciples also followed Him. And when He was at the place, He said unto them, pray that ye enter not into temptation. And He was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw and kneeled down and prayed. Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. And there appeared an angel unto Him from heaven, strengthening Him. Luke 22:37-43

    • Jesus is going through a garden of Gethsemane experience and the disciples followed Him to the mount of Olives. Jesus tells them to pray that they enter not into temptation. So as Jesus prayed to the Father to remove the cup of suffering death on the Cross from Him. Nevertheless, the Father did not so He said not my will but thine be done. We see the human side of Jesus not wanting to die the shameful death on the Cross, but that is the only way to save mankind. Then Jesus finds the disciples sleeping, so He said why sleep ye? Pray that ye enter not into temptation. How many times do we get sleepy when we should be praying. I can understand how the disciples were feeling. Thank God for Jesus that as the angel strengthened Him He was able to pray as great drops of blood fell from His head to the ground. How intense His prayer was to be obedient to the Father. May we learn from this example and model our prayer life after Jesus prayer at this most intense time of His life.
  • #And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, the Master saith unto thee, where is the guest chamber where I shall eat the Passover with my disciples? And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished there make ready. Luke 22:11,12

    • Jesus is preparing to take the Passover with His disciples so He gives them the instructions where to find the house that would have the large upper room for them to partake of the Passover. Jesus is the Passover Lamb as He is going to go to the cross to pay the sin debt of the whole world. Also, Judas Iscariot is seeking to betray Jesus to the religious leaders for thirty pieces of silver which were the price of a slave. Thus we could be redeemed from the slave house of sin by his sacrifice. So while Jesus is talking the disciples break out in a dispute about who would be the greatest. Jesus said that the greatest is the younger and the servant of all. I have come to serve you, thus Jesus is the greatest. So have a foot-washing service and be as Jesus our Lord and Master was a servant in humility and love washed all the disciple's feet. And the Lord said Simon, Simon, behold Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for thee that thy faith fails not and when ye are converted, strengthen thy brethren. The world will be celebrating Easter, the bunny rabbit and eggs I tell you do not get involved in that idolatry. For this week is the Passover of our Lord let us celebrate His victory on the Cross as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world and His triumphant resurrection from the grave three days later.
  • #And He spake to them a parable: Behold the fig tree and all trees When they shoot forth ye see and know of your own that summer is now nigh at hand. So likewise ye when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily I say unto you this generation shall not pass away till all be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away but my words shall not pass away. And take heed to yourselves lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting and drunkardness and care of this life and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore and pray always that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass and to stand before the Son of man. Luke 21:29-36

    • The fig tree is a sign for the nation Israel and the fig tree blossomed in 1948 it has been almost 70 years since then and the generation that has been able to witness this is our generation. Summer is near and Jesus is coming soon let us not get drunk and pray that we can be accounted worthy to escape the coming judgment upon all those Christ-rejecting people. We should live our lives as though this may be the day that Jesus will come to call His bride home for the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. We must be ye also ready for at such a time as ye think not the Son of man will come. Even so come Lord Jesus.
  • #And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, He said as for these things which ye behold the days will come in which there shall not be left one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down. And they asked Him, saying Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass? And there shall be signs in the sun and in the moon and in the stars and upon earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them for fear and for looking after those things that are coming on the earth; for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. Luke 21:5,6,7,25,26,27,28

    • Jesus gives all the signs of the end of the age and the coming of the Son of man on the cloud with power and great glory to establish His kingdom on earth. Climate change is causing all of these signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars as the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere are causing the roaring of the waves of the sea. The sun rays are hot and global temperatures are rising, and heart disease is a number one cause of death as men are fearful of the sights in the heavens and the end of the world. Jesus said when these things begin to happen to look up lift up your heads for your redemption is near. We have seen the beginning of all these signs and our generation will be the generation that will not pass away until the Son of man comes in the cloud with great power and great glory to establish His kingdom on earth. So rejoice! Jesus is coming soon be ye also ready for He is coming at an hour when ye think not.

  • #And He looked up and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. And He saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. And He said of a truth I say unto you that this poor widow hath cast in more than all they. For these have of their abundance cast into the offering of God but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had. Luke 21:1-4

    • Jesus had watched the rich men give of their abundance while the poor widow gave of her penury all that she had, Jesus said she has given more than all of them because she gave of her faith trusting God to provide what she needed. This is the type of giving that we are to do, for without faith it is impossible to please God. It is more blessed to give than to receive even your last two mites.
  • #And Jesus answering said unto them, the children of this world marry and are given in marriage. But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage. Neither can they die any more: for they are equal to the angels and are the children of the resurrection. Now that the dead are raised even Moses shewed at the bush when he called the Lord the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. For He is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto Him. Luke 20:34-38

    • Jesus answered the question if a man dies without children his brother was to marry his wife and raise up seed. But seven had her as a wife and all died, whose wife shall she be in the resurrection? The Lord is the God of the living and those that are counted worthy to enter the resurrection neither marry nor are given in marriage. Jesus is the resurrection and the life he that believes in Him though he is dead shall live. As we prepare to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord let us meditate on the resurrection. For we shall see Him as He is and will be like Him. Fashioned like unto His glorious body. As David said I shall be satisfied when I awake and am like Him. That will be total satisfaction for us in the resurrection to be like Jesus.
  • #And He beheld them and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same has become the head of the corner? Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever, it shall fall, it will grind them to powder. Luke 20:17,18

    • Jesus interpreted the parable for the Pharisees that Father God had sent the prophets to tell of the coming Messiah, but they killed them. Then Father God sent His only begotten Son to die on the Cross as the atoning sacrifice. The religious leaders all said he was the heir and killed him. Thus Jesus is the head of the cornerstone that the builders rejected and if they repent and fall on Him they will be broken in salvation. However, if they refuse to repent the stone will grind them to powder in eternal judgment.  What a Savior we can believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be broken in salvation. I pray that you will accept Him as your personal Savior today.
  • #And it came to pass, that on one of those days as He taught the people in the temple and preached the gospel, the chief priests and scribes came upon Him with the elders. And spake unto Him saying tell us by what authority doest thou these things? or who is He that gave thee this authority? And He answered and said unto them, I will also ask you one thing and answer me. The baptism of John, was it from heaven or of men? And they reasoned with themselves saying if we shall say from heaven, why then believe ye him not? But if we say of men; all the people will stone us: for they are persuaded that John was a prophet. And they answered that they could not tell whence it was. And Jesus said unto them Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things. Luke 20:1-8

    • Jesus answered a question with a question knowing the scribes and Pharisees were trying to trick Him. So after the Pharisees and scribes reasoned with themselves over Jesus question they decided not to say whether the baptism of John was of heaven or of men. So Jesus knowing their hearts did not say what authority He was doing the things He was doing. We have to use wisdom to answer our critics just as Jesus did, for the servant is not greater than the Master. They tempted Him and they will tempt us. Pray ye that ye enter not into temptation for the Spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. God does not tempt us with evil and He knows how much we can bear. So just trust God that when He allows us to be tempted it is a test for us to do good and come out smelling like a rose. May the Lord bless you my brothers and sisters to overcome your temptations. always take the way of escape for the Holy Spirit will show it to you at just the right time.
  • #Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven and glory in the highest. And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto Him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. And He answered and said unto them, I tell you that if these should hold their peace the stones would immediately cry out. Luke 19:38-40

    • Jesus is riding the donkey's colt meek and lowly and the disciples shout out Blessed be the King that comes in the name of the Lord. The Pharisees are angry and ask Jesus to rebuke them, but Jesus said if these would not praise Him the very stones would cry out. Let us praise Him today for He is worthy of all our praises. Do not be silent but let his house be called a house of prayer for all nations. Do not be like the merchants who were selling doves in the house of the Lord as thieves do. Let us hold up the Blood stained-banner ride on King Jesus be Lord of my life.
  • #He said, therefore a certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return. And he called his ten servants and delivered them ten pounds and said unto them Occupy till I come. But his citizens hated him and sent a message to him saying we will not have this man to reign over us. And it came to pass that when he had returned having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him to whom he had given the money to know how much they had gained after the trading. Then came the first saying, Lord thy pound hath gained ten pounds. And he said unto him Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little have thou authority over ten cities. And the second came saying Lord thy pound hath gained five pounds. And he said to him likewise be thou over five cities. And another came saying Lord, behold here is thy pound which I have kept laid up here in a napkin. For I feared thee because thou art an austere man thou takest up that thou layedst not down and reapest that thou have not sowed. And he said out of thine own mouth will I judge thee thou wicked servant thou knowest that I was an austere man taking up that laid not down and reaping that I did not sow. Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury? And he said unto them that stood by, take from him the pound and give it to him that hath ten pounds. (And they said unto him Lord he hath ten pounds.) For I say unto you, that unto every one which hath shall be given and from him that hath not even that he hath shall be taken away from him. But those enemies of mine which would not that I should reign over them bring hither and slay them before me. Luke 19:12-27

    • Jesus tells this parable of the ten pounds that was given to the servants so that they would know how to occupy until He would come back to settle accounts. To whom much is given much is required. For the servant who used the one pound to gain ten pounds, he was given the pound from the servant that kept his in a napkin. The principle is to use what you have for the glory of God on earth and He will reward you when He comes back to settle accounts. Jesus reprimanded the wicked servant for not using the one pound in the bank to earn interest. Usury is what was expected of the bankers of that day and that is what Jesus expected, so to whom what was given will be taken away because he did not use it wisely to the glory of God. Then to those enemies who did not want him to reign over them, they will be killed before the Lord. This is the judgment that will take place before the going into the kingdom of God.
