Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #And He looked up and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. And He saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. And He said of a truth I say unto you that this poor widow hath cast in more than all they. For these have of their abundance cast into the offering of God but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had. Luke 21:1-4

    • Jesus had watched the rich men give of their abundance while the poor widow gave of her penury all that she had, Jesus said she has given more than all of them because she gave of her faith trusting God to provide what she needed. This is the type of giving that we are to do, for without faith it is impossible to please God. It is more blessed to give than to receive even your last two mites.
  • #And Jesus answering said unto them, the children of this world marry and are given in marriage. But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage. Neither can they die any more: for they are equal to the angels and are the children of the resurrection. Now that the dead are raised even Moses shewed at the bush when he called the Lord the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. For He is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto Him. Luke 20:34-38

    • Jesus answered the question if a man dies without children his brother was to marry his wife and raise up seed. But seven had her as a wife and all died, whose wife shall she be in the resurrection? The Lord is the God of the living and those that are counted worthy to enter the resurrection neither marry nor are given in marriage. Jesus is the resurrection and the life he that believes in Him though he is dead shall live. As we prepare to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord let us meditate on the resurrection. For we shall see Him as He is and will be like Him. Fashioned like unto His glorious body. As David said I shall be satisfied when I awake and am like Him. That will be total satisfaction for us in the resurrection to be like Jesus.
  • #And He beheld them and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same has become the head of the corner? Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever, it shall fall, it will grind them to powder. Luke 20:17,18

    • Jesus interpreted the parable for the Pharisees that Father God had sent the prophets to tell of the coming Messiah, but they killed them. Then Father God sent His only begotten Son to die on the Cross as the atoning sacrifice. The religious leaders all said he was the heir and killed him. Thus Jesus is the head of the cornerstone that the builders rejected and if they repent and fall on Him they will be broken in salvation. However, if they refuse to repent the stone will grind them to powder in eternal judgment.  What a Savior we can believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be broken in salvation. I pray that you will accept Him as your personal Savior today.
  • #And it came to pass, that on one of those days as He taught the people in the temple and preached the gospel, the chief priests and scribes came upon Him with the elders. And spake unto Him saying tell us by what authority doest thou these things? or who is He that gave thee this authority? And He answered and said unto them, I will also ask you one thing and answer me. The baptism of John, was it from heaven or of men? And they reasoned with themselves saying if we shall say from heaven, why then believe ye him not? But if we say of men; all the people will stone us: for they are persuaded that John was a prophet. And they answered that they could not tell whence it was. And Jesus said unto them Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things. Luke 20:1-8

    • Jesus answered a question with a question knowing the scribes and Pharisees were trying to trick Him. So after the Pharisees and scribes reasoned with themselves over Jesus question they decided not to say whether the baptism of John was of heaven or of men. So Jesus knowing their hearts did not say what authority He was doing the things He was doing. We have to use wisdom to answer our critics just as Jesus did, for the servant is not greater than the Master. They tempted Him and they will tempt us. Pray ye that ye enter not into temptation for the Spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. God does not tempt us with evil and He knows how much we can bear. So just trust God that when He allows us to be tempted it is a test for us to do good and come out smelling like a rose. May the Lord bless you my brothers and sisters to overcome your temptations. always take the way of escape for the Holy Spirit will show it to you at just the right time.
  • #Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven and glory in the highest. And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto Him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. And He answered and said unto them, I tell you that if these should hold their peace the stones would immediately cry out. Luke 19:38-40

    • Jesus is riding the donkey's colt meek and lowly and the disciples shout out Blessed be the King that comes in the name of the Lord. The Pharisees are angry and ask Jesus to rebuke them, but Jesus said if these would not praise Him the very stones would cry out. Let us praise Him today for He is worthy of all our praises. Do not be silent but let his house be called a house of prayer for all nations. Do not be like the merchants who were selling doves in the house of the Lord as thieves do. Let us hold up the Blood stained-banner ride on King Jesus be Lord of my life.
  • #He said, therefore a certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return. And he called his ten servants and delivered them ten pounds and said unto them Occupy till I come. But his citizens hated him and sent a message to him saying we will not have this man to reign over us. And it came to pass that when he had returned having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him to whom he had given the money to know how much they had gained after the trading. Then came the first saying, Lord thy pound hath gained ten pounds. And he said unto him Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little have thou authority over ten cities. And the second came saying Lord thy pound hath gained five pounds. And he said to him likewise be thou over five cities. And another came saying Lord, behold here is thy pound which I have kept laid up here in a napkin. For I feared thee because thou art an austere man thou takest up that thou layedst not down and reapest that thou have not sowed. And he said out of thine own mouth will I judge thee thou wicked servant thou knowest that I was an austere man taking up that laid not down and reaping that I did not sow. Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury? And he said unto them that stood by, take from him the pound and give it to him that hath ten pounds. (And they said unto him Lord he hath ten pounds.) For I say unto you, that unto every one which hath shall be given and from him that hath not even that he hath shall be taken away from him. But those enemies of mine which would not that I should reign over them bring hither and slay them before me. Luke 19:12-27

    • Jesus tells this parable of the ten pounds that was given to the servants so that they would know how to occupy until He would come back to settle accounts. To whom much is given much is required. For the servant who used the one pound to gain ten pounds, he was given the pound from the servant that kept his in a napkin. The principle is to use what you have for the glory of God on earth and He will reward you when He comes back to settle accounts. Jesus reprimanded the wicked servant for not using the one pound in the bank to earn interest. Usury is what was expected of the bankers of that day and that is what Jesus expected, so to whom what was given will be taken away because he did not use it wisely to the glory of God. Then to those enemies who did not want him to reign over them, they will be killed before the Lord. This is the judgment that will take place before the going into the kingdom of God.
  • #And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. And behold there was a man named Zacchaeus which was the chief among the publicans and he was rich. And he sought to see Jesus who he was and could not for the press because he was little in stature. And he ran before and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him and said unto him, Zacchaeus make haste and come down for today I must abide at thy house. And he made haste and came down and received Him joyfully. And when they saw it, they all murmured saying, that He was gone to be a guest with a man that is a sinner. And Zacchaeus stood and said Lord, behold, Lord the half of my goods I give to the poor and if I have taken anything from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. And Jesus said unto him this day is salvation come to this house, for so much as he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. Luke 19:1-10

    • Jesus marveled at Zacchaeus desire to see Him and climb the sycamore tree. So Jesus told him to come down for the Son on man must stay at your house. The Pharisees were all angry that Jesus would be a friend of such a sinner, for the publicans were the most hated sinners of their day. Yet Zacchaeus was a repentant sinner for he gave half of his goods to the poor and restored fourfold those he took money from by false accusation. Jesus then says the Son of man is come to seek and to save the lost. For Zacchaeus by his faith demonstrated that he was a true son of Abraham that all the Pharisees did. We can learn a lot from this example of giving for he did not tithe, but gave more than half of what he possessed. This tells us that the Lord is not requiring the tithe of us, but our heart as Zacchaeus gave all of his heart to Jesus and though he was rich, he was rich toward God which is what Jesus wants us to be. For the Lord loves a cheerful giver and he that sows bountifully shall reap bountifully. May the Lord bless you to give like Zacchaeus and watch how much the Lord will bless you.
  • #Then took unto Him the twelve and said unto them, behold we go up to Jerusalem and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished. For He shall be delivered unto the Gentiles and shall be mocked and spitefully entreated, and spat on: and they shall scourge Him and put Him to death and the third day He shall rise again. Luke 18:31-33

    • Jesus tells the disciples that all things that the prophets have said concerning Him will be fulfilled. but the disciples did not understand those sayings until He had risen from the dead. We are about to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and we too must beware of the world trying to get us caught up in the easter bunny and egg hunting, which has nothing to do with the passion of our Lord. We too must bear our cross, endure suffering as a Christian, and follow Jesus so that we too will inherit eternal life with the Father. I pray that you will make a plan to tell someone what it means to be a Christian, which is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We will bear the fruits of the spirit: love, joy, peace, self-control, patience meekness, which is not weakness but strength under control of the Holy Spirit. May the Lord bless you to do just that my brothers and sisters in the Lord.
  • #And a certain ruler asked Him saying Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is God. Thou knowest the commandments, do not commit adultery, do not kill, do not steal, do not bear false witness, honor thy father and thy mother. And he said, all these have I kept from my youth up. Now when Jesus heard these things, He said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast and distribute unto the poor and thou shall have treasure in heaven and come, follow me. And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich. And when Jesus saw that he was sorrowful, He said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Luke 18:18-25

    • Jesus admired the rich young ruler and challenged him that if he would enter into the eternal life he must sell what he has give to the poor and follow him. The rich young ruler walked away sorrowful because he was very rich. Then Jesus said how hard will those who have riches enter into the kingdom of God, for it is easier for a camel to go through the needle's eye than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. This meant the rich man would have to unload his riches to enter into eternal life. It is not a sin to be rich, but if you love those riches it is a sin. Possess the riches without them possessing you is what is needed. Too many falls in love with the riches and not the Savior who gives us the power to earn wealth. The sin of covetousness is what this young rich ruler suffered from and pray Lord let me not be guilty of this sin in my life. Give to the poor, take up your cross, deny yourself and follow Jesus. Then you will enter into life eternal.
  • #And they brought unto Him also infants, that He would touch them, but when the disciples saw it they rebuked them. But Jesus called them unto Him and said suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein. Luke 18;15-17

    • Jesus rebukes the disciples for not allowing the people to bring their infants to Him, for He said to suffer the little children to come unto me for of such is the kingdom of God. We must emulate the faith of little children, for it is their unstoppable faith in God that allows them to enter the kingdom of God. For without faith it is impossible to please God. Therefore, we must allow children even as infants to come to Jesus just as they are in their innocence. For we can learn a lot from children how we must approach a holy God. Our hearts must be cleaned at an early age.
