Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write these things saith He which hath the sharp sword with two edges: I know thy works and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is and thou holdest fast my name and hast not denied my faith even in the days when Antipas was my faithful martyr who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. But I have a few things against thee because thou hast them that hold to the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Belac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols and to commit fornication. So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. Repent or else I will come unto thee quickly and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. He that hath an ear let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna and will give him a white stone and in the stone, a new name written which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.  Revelation 2:12-17

Jesus commends Pergamos for their faith in the days when Antipas my faithful martyr was slain, but He rebukes them for committing sexual immorality and allowing those that hold to the doctrine of the Nicolaitans. He told them to repent or He would fight against them with the Word of God. Then He told those who would overcome I will give a new name and they shall eat of the hidden manna, as well as a white stone which no man would know except him that receives it. This was quite an honor to receive.

  • #And unto the angel of the church of Smyrna write: These things saith the first and the last which was dead and is alive. I know thy works and tribulations and poverty: ( but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews and are not, but are of the synagogue of Satan. Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried and ye shall have tribulation ten days be thou faithful unto death and I will give you the crown of life. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches: He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. Revelation 2:8-11

    • Jesus has the only commendation for the church of Smyrna, for they are poor in material wealth, but rich in spiritual wealth. The devil will cast some into prison and ye shall have tribulation for ten days: be thou faithful unto death and ye shall receive the crown of life is a promise given to this church for the suffering under Nero that they suffered.  What a glory will be given to this church and they will not suffer from the second death, which is reserved for those in the Lake of fire for all eternity. The crown of life is the victor's crown for all the suffering they shall endure. So listen to the Spirit and be comforted by all that He has to say he that has an ear. This crown of life is given to those who are also victorious over temptation in James 1:12 as well as those who are faithful to death. So do not fear any of the things which ye will suffer.

  • #Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write, these things said he that holdeth the seven stars in His right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; I know thy works and thy labor and thy patience and how thou canst not bear them which are evil and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles and are not  and has found them to be liars, and hast has borne and hast patience  and for my name's sake hast labored and hast not fainted. Nevertheless, I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen and repent and do the first works or else I will come unto thee quickly and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, thou repent. Revelation 2:1-5

Jesus commends the church in Ephesus for all the good things they were doing, but there was one thing that He rebuked them for. They had left their first love. He said repent from whence you have fallen or I will remove your candlestick. We must spend time with God everyday walking and obey His word. We love Him because He first loved us. Do not let any sin have dominion over me so that my love for you will be constant.  Then pray to God every day so that my love will grow stronger for God every day.

  • #And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man clothed with a garment down to the foot and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and His hairs were white like wool, as white as snow and His eyes were a flame of fire. And His feet like unto brass as if they burned in a furnace and His voice as the sound of many waters. And He had in His right hand seven stars and out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword. And His countenance was as the sun shineth in His strength. And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not I am the first and the last: I am He that liveth and was dead and behold I am alive for evermore. Amen and have the keys of hell and of death. Write the things which thou sawest in my right hand and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches. Revelation 1:12-20

John saw the risen Savior the Lord Jesus Christ in all of His glory this is what He will look like when we see Him for all of eternity. Jesus stands in the midst of the seven churches with a sharp two-edged sword. The Word of God is the two-edged sword that He uses to judge the churches. He holds the keys to hell and death since He has risen from the dead. John is told to write what he has seen and the mystery of the seven stars which are the angels which are the messengers of the seven churches. The candlesticks are the seven churches that the angels preach to. Jesus is the one Mediator between God and man and He is seated on the right hand of the Father in heaven. Making intercession for you and for me so that we will be able to stand before Him on the last day.

  • #I John, who also am your brother and companion in tribulation and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying I am the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last and what thou seest, write in a book and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philidelphia, and unto Laodicea. Revelation 1:9-11

    • John the Apostle is exiled on the Isle of Patmos for the tribulation and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ receives this revelation from the angel of God to write in a book, called Revelation, which is the Apocalypse. This is on the Lord's Day, which is Sunday when he is writing this book, and he is told to write to the seven churches in Asia in the Spirit. The great voice as a trumpet that he heard is the Lord Jesus Christ who is inspiring him to write these things. Revelation is the only apocalyptic book in the New Testament. This book is such a blessing to all those who read it. So just pray to the Holy Spirit to open your eyes and your understanding as we walk through the book of Revelation. The unveiling of this book will allow us to see Jesus in all of His glory.
  • #Behold, He cometh with clouds and every eye shall see Him and them also which pierced Him and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so Amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come the Almighty. Revelation 1:7,8

    • Jesus is coming back on the clouds, which are His chariots, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him. All races of the earth will wail because of Him. They will wish they had believed in Him. For He is the Alpha and the Omega. The beginning of the Greek alphabet and the ending.
  • #John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you and peace from Him which is and which was and which is to come and from the seven Spirits which are before His throne. And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness and first-begotten of the dead and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him, that loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood. And hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever Amen. Revelation 1:4-6

    • We have the outline of the book of Revelation: Which is, and Which was, and Which is to come. This speaks of the coming of Jesus into the world as the Babe in the manger and then His dying on the Cross and rising from the Grave, and His ascension to the Right hand of the Father from which He will come again. John is writing to the seven churches in Asia, who are the kings and priests because they have been washed in the Blood of Jesus on the Cross. Then John gives the doxology of Jesus to Him be glory and dominion forever Amen. We are just getting started with the Revelation of Jesus Christ so get excited about the study of this blessed book.
  • #The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto Him, to shew unto His servants things which must shortly come to pass and He sent and signified it by His angel unto His servant John: Who bare record of the word of God and of the testimony of Jesus Christ and of all things that he saw. Blessed is he that readeth and they that hear the words of this prophecy and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. Revelation 1;1-3

    • Apokalypsis is the Greek text for Revelation which is the unveiling of Jesus Christ in all of His glory. John the Apostle is exiled on the island of Patmos and an angel of God is sent by Jesus Christ to give him the book of the Revelation. Blessed is he that readeth and keeps the teaching of this book. So put on your spiritual shoes and get ready for a wonderful walk through the inspired word of God. We are going to see the risen Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ in all of His glory. Study the book of Daniel for it is a great pillow to the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
  • #Then opened He their understanding that they might understand the scriptures. And said unto them. Thus it is written and thus it behooved Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day. And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things. And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you, but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. Luke 24:45-49

Jesus opened their understanding so that they could see that Christ had to suffer these things and rise from the dead the third day. Then He told them to wait in Jerusalem until they would receive the promise of the Father, the Holy Spirit ten days after His ascension. And it came to pass while He blessed them, He was parted from them and carried up into heaven. And they worshipped Him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

  •  #And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulcher and found it even so as the women had said, but Him they saw not. Then He said unto them, O fools and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: Ought not Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory? Luke 24:24-26

    • It is no April fools joke Christ Jesus is risen today, as the disciples on the road to Emmas which was in Jerusalem about sixty stadia distance were walking along the way and Jesus said O fools and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken. And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, He expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself. And it came to pass as He sat at meat with them, He took bread and blessed it and brake and gave them. And their eyes were opened and they knew Him and He vanished out of their sight. And they said one to another, did not our hearts burn within us while He talked with us by the way and while He opened to us the scriptures? And as they thus spake Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them and said unto them Peace be unto you. But they were terrified and affrighted and supposed that they had seen a spirit. And He said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself handle me and see: for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. Have ye any meat here? And they gave Him a piece of broiled fish and of a honeycomb. And He took it and did eat before them. What a blessing that in our glorified bodies we will be able to eat just like Jesus for we will see Him as He is and be just like Him. How I wish I could have been there as the disciples were there to witness all these things. Unto us, a Son is given and He has risen from the grave just as He said. Behold the place where He lay the linen clothes laid by themselves just as He was laid. For the Psalms said that He would not see corruption. So He rose the third day just like He said.
