Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me and from the words of my roaring? O, my God, I cry in the daytime but thou hearest not and in the night season and am not silent. But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. Our fathers trusted in thee; they trusted and thou didst deliver them. They cried unto thee and were delivered: they trusted in thee and were not confounded. Psalm 22:1-5

The Lord Jesus Christ cried out on the cross: My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? We know that the Holy God could not look upon sin so it was at that moment when all the sins of the world were placed on the Lord Jesus Christ, that God turned His back on the Son. For the Son had always been one with the Father, but this time He was all alone so that He could save us. What love, this is why this Psalm is about the Lord Jesus Christ and His suffering on the cross for you and for me.

  • #Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee. Thou shall make a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in His wrath and the fire shall devour them. Their fruit shall thou destroy from the earth and their seed from among the children of men. For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform. Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon the strings against the face of them. Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power. Psalm 21:8-13

Jehovah God shall find out all those that hate Him and make a fiery oven for them in the time of His anger. He shall swallow them up in His wrath and the fire shall devour them. Therefore we will praise thy power O God for most worthy art thou of all our praises so we will sing to and praise thy power.

  • #(To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.) The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! Thou hast given him his heart's desire and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah. For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head. He asked life of thee and thou givest it him, even length of days forever and ever. His glory is great in thy salvation: honor and majesty hast thou laid upon him. For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad about thy countenance. For the king trusted in the LORD and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved. Psalm 21:1-7

The king shall joy in the strength of Jehovah God for how greatly shall he rejoice! God has given him his heart's desire and not prevented the request of his lips. How much we can joy in the Lord our Savior.

  • #( The chief Musician, a Psalm of David.) The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble, the name of the God of Jacob defend thee: Send thee help from the sanctuary and strengthen thee out of Zion. Remember all thy offerings and accept the burnt sacrifice, Selah. Grant thee according to thine own heart and fulfill all thy counsel. We will rejoice in thy salvation and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfill all thy petitions. Now know I that the LORD saveth His anointed, He will hear him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. They are brought down and fallen, but we have risen and stand upright. Save LORD let the king hear us when we call. Psalm 20: 1-9

Jehovah God hears us when we cry for help, in the day of trouble. David learns that the Lord God saves His anointed for He hears from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. Save O thou great Jehovah let the king hear us when we call.

  • #The fear of the LORD is clean enduring forever; the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned and in keeping them there is a great reward. Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults. Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins: let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength and my redeemer. Psalm 19:9-14

Fear Jehovah God for it is clean enduring forever. The judgments of Jehovah are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired than gold, yes much fine gold. Then pray to God to cleanse you from secret faults.and to keep thy servant from presumptuous sins. For no sin is to have dominion over thee. Then pray the words of thy mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in thy sight thou great Jehovah my strength and my redeemer. I pray this prayer before I preach His word for it centers my heart in the will of God.

  • #The LORD liveth and blessed be my rock and let the God of my salvation be exalted. It is God that avengeth me and subdueth people under me. He delivereth me from mine enemies; yea thou liftest me above those that rise up against me; thou hast delivered me from the violent man. Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen and sing praises unto the name. Great deliverance giveth He to His king and sheweth mercy to His anointed, to David and to his seed for evermore. Psalm 18:46-50

Praise God that the Jehovah God lives blessed be my rock and let the God of my salvation be exalted. Jehovah delivered king David from all of his enemies and he gave thanks to the Lord among the heathen for doing so. We too must sing the praises of our God for delivering us from our enemies and the violent man. Now great deliverance gives He to His king and shows mercy to His anointed, to David and to his seed for evermore. That includes us since we are the spiritual descendants of David.

  • #Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings, from the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about. They are enclosed in their own fat: with their mouth, they speak proudly. They have now compassed us in our steps: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth: like a lion that is greedy of his prey and as it were a young lion lurking in secret places. Arise O LORD, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, which is thy sword: From men which are thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children and leave the rest of their substance to their babes. As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness. Psalm 17:8-15

David in his prayer is crying for Jehovah God to keep him as the apple of the eye and to hide him under the shadow of thy wings from the wicked that oppress him. From men of this world whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children and leave the rest of their substance to their babes. Then he cries as for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied when I awake, with thy likeness. For true satisfaction can only be found in God in the grave when we awake just like Jesus did as the first fruits of them from the dead. For we will see Him as He is and be just like Him.

  • #Hear the right, O LORD, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer that goeth not out of feigned lips. Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal. Thou hast proved my heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress. Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the path of the destroyer. Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not. I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me and hear my speech. Show thy marvelous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them. Psalm 17:1-7

A prayer of David for Jehovah God to hear his prayer which goes out of true lips unto thee. The cry is for God to behold things that are equal. For the just God has proved his heart in the night and found nothing amiss.

  • #Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust. O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee: But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent in whom is all my delight. Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips. The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage. I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night season. I have set the Lord always before me: because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh shall rest in hope. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither will thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is the fulness of joy: at thy right hand, there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:1-11

This Psalm is a picture of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ for He is at the right hand of the Father in heaven and while He was in the grave His flesh did rest in hope. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell: neither will thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. That is why on the third day He arose from the grave victorious over sin and death. Now we can rest in hope, knowing that we too will be raised from the dead, as He is the first fruits of them that sleep in the grave. What a joy when we see our loved ones knowing that they will be awakened at the midnight cry when Christ calls all His children home.

  • LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly and worketh righteousness and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbor, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbor. In whose eyes a vile person is contemned but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt and changeth not. He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved. Psalm 15:1-5

God is just and a rewarder of the just. He that walks uprightly and works righteousness and speaks the truth in his heart. As well as him that lies not to his neighbor and in whose eyes a vile person is not rewarded. Him that swears to his own hurt in court and changes not. Him that does not put out his money to excessive interest or takes a reward against the just. The person who does these things shall never be moved by Jehovah God.
