Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us thou hast been displeased: O turn thyself to us again. Thou hast made the earth to tremble thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh. Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us drink the wine of astonishment. Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah. That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand and hear me. God hath spoken in His holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem and mete out the valley of Succoth. Psalm 60:1-6

Peace be unto you is what the Lord Jesus always said to His disciples and it is the way that we should address one another today. For these are perilous days that we are living in just as it was for David and yet the Lord took care of him despite all of his enemies trying to kill him. He is our Jehovah Nissi and has raised a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Pilot asked Jesus what is the truth?  Jesus replied I am the truth. He is the way, the truth and the life no man comes to the Father except by Him. So in this season of Christmas still away to Jesus and get to know the truth that came to set us free. When you know the truth, then you have the peace of God that passes all understanding. Many people go into debt buying gifts and trying to find peace. True peace comes from knowing that your sins are forgiven and that you have a home in heaven that will never pass away. Jesus said peace I give unto you, not as the world gives to you, let not your heart be troubled or afraid. As Jesus said to fear not, for it is I, so trust Him to be the Captain of your ship and He will bring you safely to the harbor. I have such peace in my life because I have Jesus as my Personal Savior and celebrate His birth, death, and resurrection always as a token of my peace in this troubled world. Do you know Him? Please try Him today and you will find peace for your soul and rest forever more.

  • #Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power and bring them down, O Lord our shield. For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride and for cursing and lying which they speak. Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob unto the ends of the earth. Selah. And at evening let them return and let them make a noise like a dog and and go around the city. Let them wander up and down for meat and grudge if they be not satisfied. But I will sing of thy power; yea I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble. Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defense and the God of my mercy. Psalm 59:11-17

As we celebrate the Christmas season let us sing of the mercy of the Lord day and night for thou hast been my defense. Jesus came unto the Shepherds who were the most despised men because He is the chief Shepherd of the flock and would lay down His life for the sheep. That is why David writes this psalm of thanksgiving to the Lord O my strength and my defense of my mercy. For Jesus came to save His people from their sins and redeem them from the curse.

  • #They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog and go round about the city. Behold they belch out with their mouth swords are in their lips: for who, say they doth hear? But thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision. Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defense. The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies. Psalm 59:6-10

David places all of his faith in Jehovah Jireh, for He is our provider and our shield from our enemies. Despite the heathen belching out of their mouth and making noise like a dog, God delivers him from all of his enemies. That last enemy that we all face is death and Jesus defeated that enemy on the Cross. So we no longer have to fear death as we can say yay though I walk through the valley of death I will fear no evil for thou art with me and thy rod shall sustain me. The Lord has all the heathen in derision so we have nothing to fear, but to give all the glory to the Lord for His great victory in our lives. For He alone is our provider our Jehovah Jireh.

  • #Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me. Deliver me from the workers of iniquity and save me from bloody men. For lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O LORD. They run and prepare themselves without my fault: awake to help me and behold. Thou, therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah. Psalm 59:1-5

David is in a house that Saul sent men to watch him in order to kill him. That is why David cries out to Jehovah God of angel armies to save him from bloody men that lie in wait for his soul and yet have no reason or transgression that he has committed to seeking out. Jehovah God is summoned to awake to visit all the heathen and not to be merciful to any wicked transgressors. Thank God that the keeper of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps and is always interceding on behalf of all those who look to Him for salvation. As we celebrate the Christmas season we look to Jesus that came to us as a Babe in a manger and delivered us from all danger. What a Savior we have who saves to the uttermost all those who call on Him.

  • #Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow shoot his arrows let them be as cut in pieces. As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman that they may not see the sun. Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living and in his wrath. The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth. Psalm 58:7-11

God is the judge of all the earth and He takes vengeance on those who obey not the gospel of peace. He shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living and in His wrath. Pray to God for He will forgive and relent His wrath but for a moment. Yes, there is a reward for the righteous and holy is the Lord most High all glory be to His name.

  • #Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men? Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth. The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies. Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear; Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely. Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD. Psalm 58:1-6

David is reminded that Jehovah God does indeed speak righteousness to the congregation and He does judge the sons of men uprightly as well as requires that they judge uprightly too. Yet the wicked are known from their womb, for they go astray as soon as they are born. This explains why some are not allowed to live, but are stillborn, for God in His wisdom prevents the wickedness from being manifested in the earth. As we celebrate the birth of the Lord Jesus let us give thanks to God for allowing His Son to be born into this world a baby that makes a woman cry but gives joyous life to all who will receive Him as their Savior.

  • #They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah. My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise. Awake my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early. I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations. For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds. Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above the earth. Psalm 57:6-11

David wrote this psalm as he fled from Saul in the cave and chose to sing praises to the Lord most High. He said I will sing unto thee among the nations. For thy mercy is great unto the heavens and thy truth unto the clouds. Then he explodes in praise: Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth. This can be seen when flying in an airplane above the clouds the glory of thee O God. Praise Him today with me, you people.

  • #Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge until these calamities are overpast. I will cry unto God most High; unto God that performeth all things for me. He shall send from heaven and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth. My soul is among lions and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows and their tongue a sharp sword. Be thou exalted, O God above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth. Psalm 57:1-5

The Lord God is exalted, O God above the heavens and thy glory above all the earth. Let us praise Him for He alone is worthy to be praised.

  • #Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people O God. Thou tellest my wanderings put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me. In God will I praise His word: in the LORD will I praise His word. In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me. Thy vows are upon me O God: I will render praises unto thee. For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt, not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living? Psalm 56:7-13

David is praising Jehovah God for delivering his soul from death and his feet from falling that he may walk before God in the light of the living? What a mighty God we serve for He tells our wanderings and puts our tears in a bottle: are they not in thy book. We must remain humble before God for He alone knows the path I shall take. As we continue to mourn the passing of a great man George Herbert Walker Bush, the forty-first President of the United States, may God grant him the peace and rest for his soul as he reunites with his loved ones in glory.

  • #Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me. Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they are many that fight against me, O thou most High. What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God, I will praise His word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil. They gather themselves together, they hide, they mark my steps when they wait for my soul. Psalm 56:1-6

David is not afraid what flesh can do unto him, for he has placed all of his trust in the Lord God of his father Abraham, Issac and Jacob. We too must learn to trust in the Lord God like that to save our souls from the evil man. Never will our enemies swallow us up because the Lord is our help in a time of trouble.
