Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #I am as a wonder unto many, but thou art my strong refuge. Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honor all day. Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth. For mine enemies speak against me and they that lay wait for my soul counsel together, saying God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him; for there is none to deliver him. O God, be not far from me O my God, make haste for my help. Let them be confounded and consumed that are my adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonor that seek my hurt. But I will hope continually and will yet praise thee more and more. Psalm 71:7-14

God is concerned about us even when we are in old age. The Psalmist cries out for God to not cast me off in my old age. But my hope will be continually in thee and I will yet praise thee more and more. No matter what you are going through now, take time to praise God, for He will not forsake you and will see you through until the end. Oh God makes haste to help all those who are working without pay in the government shut down. Thank you for all those helping the needy and the poor for God will make a way for you too in your time of need.

  • #In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion. Deliver me in thy righteousness and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me and save me. Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me, for thou art my rock and fortress. Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man. For thou art my hope Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth. By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art He that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee. Psalm 71:1-6

The Lord Jesus is the one that took you from your mother's bowels, therefore praise Him forever. Be there our strong habitation whereunto I may continually resort O God. For thou art worthy to be praised.

  • #Make haste, O God, to deliver me: make haste to help me, O LORD. Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul; let them be turned backward and put to confusion that desire my hurt. Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that says Aha, aha. Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee and let such as love thy salvation say continually let God be magnified. But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying. Psalm 70:1-5

David calls to remembrance this prayer to Jehovah God to make haste to deliver him. Three times he says make haste, which tells us how desperate he is for deliverance from those that would desire his soul. He cries out O God thou art my help and my deliverer, O Jehovah make no tarrying. We are in the midst of a Government shut down and people are not being paid. O God please save to the uttermost those that call on thee for salvation, for the help of man is vain. I am poor and needy, O God save us from the greedy that take the poor for hostages. Save O God, as only thou can do is our prayer.

  • #But I am poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high. I will praise the name of God with a song and will magnify Him with thanksgiving. This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs. The humble shall see this and be glad and your heart shall live that seek God. For the LORD heareth the poor, and despiseth, not His prisoners. Let the heaven and earth praise Him, the seas and everything that moveth therein. For God will save Zion and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there and have it in possession. The seed also of His servants shall inherit and they that love His name shall dwell therein. Psalm 69:29-35

Jehovah God shall save the seed of Judah and His servants shall inherit that love His name. So praise God today with me and give Him the glory that He alone deserves.

  • #Let their table become a snare before them and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap. Let their eyes be darkened that they see not and make their loins continually to shake. Pour out thine indignation upon them and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them. Let their habitation be desolate and let none dwell in their tents. For they persecute Him whom thou hast smitten and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded. Add iniquity unto their iniquity and let them not come into thy righteousness. Let them be blotted out of the book of the living and not be written with the righteous. Psalm 69:22-28

This is a picture of the Savior of the world who took all our sins upon Himself at the cross, for they persecuted Him whom thou hast smitten. He was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him and by His stripes, we are healed. Jesus was a man of sorrows and acquainted with our grief that is why David in this Psalm wrote what he did as he was prophesying what would happen to our Lord upon the cross. Jesus, after He was risen from the dead, told the disciples on the road to Emmaus all these things that were written about Him. Then they said did not our hearts burn within us as He talked to us along the way. How I wish I could have been there when Jesus taught them from the Psalms, and all the prophets the things that were written about Him. Thank the Lord for scripture and rejoice evermore that we too are counted worthy to suffer for His namesake.

  • #Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me. Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies. And hide not thy face from thy servant: for I am in trouble hear me speedily. Draw nigh unto my soul and redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies. Thou hast known my reproach and my shame and my dishonor: mine adversaries are all before thee. Reproach hath broken my heart and I am full of heaviness and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none and for comforters, but found none. They gave me also gall for my meat and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink. Psalm 69:15-21

This is a picture of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross when they gave him vinegar to drink; nevertheless, He gave up the ghost after He said Father into thine hands I commend my Spirit.

  • #I have become a stranger unto my brethren and an alien unto my mother's children. For the Zeal of thine house hath eaten me up and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me. When I wept and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach. I made sackcloth also my garment and I became a proverb to them. They that sit in the gate speak against me and I was the song of the drunkards. But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation. Deliver me out of the mire and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me and out of the deep waters. Psalm 69:8-14

This is a picture of the Lord Jesus Christ at the cross, for the soldiers put sackcloth also upon Him and He was a proverb to them. They spoke against Him and He became the song of the drunkards. But He prayed on the cross Father, Father why hast thou forsaken me? It was there out of the deep waters that He was delivered and when He spoke it is finished He gave up the ghost. On the third day, Jesus was raised from the dead by the Heavenly Father and given all power in heaven as well as earth. We too will be rescued from our enemies when we cry out to God Jehovah to deliver us out of the mire. God will deliver us from all those who hate us and from the deep waters of sin. We just have to surrender to God and say not my will, but thine be done. Then we are given a family of brothers and sisters in Christ and we live in fellowship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit for all eternity.

  • #Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul. I sink in deep mire where there is no standing: I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. I am weary of my crying. my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God. They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away. O God, thou knowest my foolishness and my sins are not hidden from thee. Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord God of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel. Because for thy sake, I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face. Psalm 69:1-7

David is praying to God to save me from the flood waters are come unto my soul. He said I sink in deep waters, where the floods overflow me. Thank God that He answers our prayers when we need them most. This is also a picture of the Lord Jesus on the cross when He said I thirst, for my throat is weary and dried from my crying. They that hate me are more than the hairs on my head. For someone that is losing hairs, this can be very painful but thank God that He knows how many hairs we have. Then David cries out to God, thou knowest my foolishness and my sins are not hidden from thee. I will praise thee O God for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Then David says for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face. This reminds us when Jesus cried out from the cross, Father, forgive them for they know not what they do. Thank God that we have been forgiven and now we must forgive others who have harmed us the same way the Lord Jesus forgave us.

  • #Because of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto thee. Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the people, till every one submit himself with pieces of silver: scatter thou the people that delight in war. Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God. Sing unto God ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord. Selah: To Him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; Lo He doth send out His voice and that a mighty voice. Ascribe ye strength unto God: His excellency is over Israel and His strength is in the clouds. O God thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is He that giveth strength and power unto His people. Blessed be God. Psalm 68:29-35

Ethiopia stretched forth her hand when President Barak Obama was elected the 44th President of the United States of America. God is true to His word. Jesus is He that rideth on the heavens of heavens, for the clouds are His chariots and one day He will come again in the clouds to call His children home. O praise God for thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is He that giveth strength and power unto His people. Blessed be God almighty for He alone is worthy of all of our praises.

  • #The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea: That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thine enemies and the tongue of thy dogs in the same. They have seen thy goings God; even the goings of my God, my King, in the sanctuary. The singers went before, the players on instruments followed after; among them were the damsels playing with timbrels. Bless ye God in the congregations, even the Lord from the fountain of Israel. There is little Benjamin with their ruler, the princes of Judah and their council, the princes of Zebulun and the princes of Naphtali. Thy God hath commanded, thy strength: strengthen, O God that which thou hast wrought for us. Psalm 68:21-28

The Lord will bring Israel again from Bashan, as from the depths of the sea. O bless ye God in the congregations, even the Lord from the fountain of Israel. The Lord will strengthen that which thou hast wrought for us. O praise the Lord for His goodness and mercy to His people in the land of the living.
