Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #There shall no strange god be in thee: neither shalt thou worship any strange god. I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide and I will fill it. But my people would not hearken to my voice and Israel would none of me. So I gave them up unto their hearts' lust and they walked in their own counsels. Oh that my people had hearkened unto me and Israel had walked in my ways! I should have subdued their enemies and turned my hand against their adversaries. The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto Him, but their time should have endured forever. He should have fed them also with the finest of wheat and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee. Psalm 81:9-16

Jehovah God is a jealous God and thou shalt have no strange god before Him. Open thy mouth and let the Lord fill it. But the people failed to obey God so He gave them over to the lust of their hearts. How the Lord wanted to feed them with the finest wheat and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.

  • #Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob. Take a psalm and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery. Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed on our solemn feast day. For this was a statute for Israel and a law of the God of Jacob. This He ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not. I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from pots. Thou calledst in trouble and I delivered thee: I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah. Hear, O my people and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearkens unto me. Psalm 81:1-8

Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob, for He alone is worthy of all our praises. Use the timbrel, the pleasant harp and sing unto the Lord our God. He delivered thee when thou was in trouble and answered thee in the secret place of thunder. Be not faithless, but believing as I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah.

  • #Return we beseech thee O God of hosts: look down from heaven and behold and visit this vine: And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself. It is burned with fire, it is cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance. Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself. So will not we go back from thee: quicken us and we will call upon thy name. Turn us again O LORD God of hosts, cause thy face to shine and we shall be saved. Psalms 80:14-19

Jehovah God of angel armies, turn us again, cause thy face to shine and we shall be saved. For you alone are worthy of all our praises, let thy right hand be upon the man of thy right hand. Thank you Lord Jesus for making intercesion for us at the right hand of the Father and the Holy Spirit who takes our groanings by making them known to thee.

  • #Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine and we shall be saved. Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen and planted it. Thou preparedst room before it and didst cause it to take deep root and it filled the land. The hills were covered with the shadow of it and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars. She sent out her boughs unto the sea and her branches unto the river. Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her? The boar out of the wood doth waste it and the wild beast of the field doth devour it. Psalm 80:7-13

O God of angel armies, cause thy face to shine and we shall be saved. Israel has been brought out Egypt, thou hast cast out the heathen and planted thy vine. O God turn us again and we shall be saved, for thou art our God and we do give thee praise in the great sanctuary. Restore us O God and we shall praise Thee forever.

  • #Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims shine forth. Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength and come and save us. Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine and we shall be saved. O LORD of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry with the prayer of thy people? Thou feedest them with the bread of tears and givest them tears to drink in great measure. Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbors and our enemies laugh among themselves. Psalm 80:1-6

O Jehovah God of angel armies, thou that leads Joseph like a flock, thou that dwellest between the cherubims shine forth.O God and cause thy face to shine and we shall be saved. We give thee the praise that thou alone deserves O God, be merciful upon the sheep of thy pasture. Hear our prayer O God and save us from our enemies and we shall praise thy name forevermore.

  • #For they have devoured Jacob and laid waste his dwelling place. O remember not against us former iniquities: let thy tender mercies speedily prevent us: for we are brought very low. Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name and deliver us and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake.  Wherefore should the heathen say, where is their God? let Him be known among the heathen in our sight by revenging of the blood of thy servants which is shed. Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee; according to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to die; And render unto our neighbors sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, wherewith they have reproached thee O Lord. So we, thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations. Psalm 79:7-13

Asaph is crying out for God to judge the heathen by taking revenge on them for the bloodshed of the servants of God. Yet God is ever merciful to the prisoner that is appointed to die. So we, thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations. Who is like unto thee O God? the glory of your name is in all the nations and we will praise thee forever for your holiness.

  • #O God, the heathen have come into thine inheritance: thy holy temple have they defiled: they have laid Jerusalem on heaps. The dead bodies of thy servants have they given to be meat unto the fowls of heaven, the flesh of thy saints unto the beast of the earth. Their blood has they shed like water round about Jerusalem and there was none to bury them. We have become a reproach to our neighbors, a scorn and derision to them that are round about us. How long, LORD? wilt thou be angry forever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire? Pour out thy wrath upon the heathen that have not known thee and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon thy name. Psalm 79:1-6

Jehovah God is an awesome God and will not be angry forever. Thou His jealousy burns like a fire, He will forgive and cast thy sins into the sea. So call upon the name of the Lord and He will save thee. He will give the inheritance of the wicked to those that walk upright in the land. The neighbors that would not speak to you will be quick to friend you after they have seen what the Lord has done for you. Then He will pour out His wrath on the kingdoms that have not called upon His name. Yes our God is a consuming fire, so have a holy fear of Him.

  • #He gave His people over also unto the sword and was wroth with his inheritance. The fire consumed their young men and their maidens were not given to marriage. Their priest fell by the sword and their widows made no lamentation. Then the Lord awoke, as one out of sleep, and like a mighty man shouted by reason of wine. He smote his enemies in the hinder parts: he put them to a perpetual reproach. Moreover, he refused the tabernacle of Joseph and chose not the tribe of Ephraim. But chose the tribe of Judah, the mount Zion which he loved. And he built His sanctuary like high palaces, like the earth which he hath established forever. He chose David also His servant and took him from the sheepfolds: From following the ewes great with young he brought him to feed Jacob his people and Israel his inheritance. So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart and guided them by the skilfulness of His hands. Psalm 78:62-72

The Lord is a jealous God visiting the sins of the fathers to the third generation, but shows love to those who keep His commandments. As God was angry the priest fell by the sword and their widows made no lamentation. Then the Lord awoke as one out of sleep, and like a mighty man shouted by reason of wine. This is a metaphor as God does not sleep, but he is moved by compassion and that is why we must love the Lord with all our heart, mind, and soul. That is why He chose David a man after His own heart and fed them according to the integrity of His heart and guided them by the skilfulness of His hands. What a mighty God we serve, let us give Him all the glory.

  • #And smote all the firstborn in Egypt; the chief of their strength in the tabernacles of Ham. But made his own people go forth like sheep and guided them in the wilderness like a flock. And he led them on safely so that they feared not, but the sea overwhelmed their enemies. And He brought them to the border of His sanctuary even to this mountain, which His right hand had purchased. He cast out the heathen also before them and divided them an inheritance by line and made tribes of Israel dwell in their tents. Yet they tempted and provoked the most High God and kept not His testimonies: But turned back and dealt unfaithfully like their fathers: they were turned aside like a deceitful bow. For they provoked Him to anger with their high places and moved Him to jealousy with their graven images. When God heard this, He was wroth and placed among men; And delivered His strength into captivity and His glory into the enemy's hand. Psalm 78:51-61

God had mercy on the children of Israel by smoting all the firstborn in Egypt; the chief of their strength in the tabernacles of Ham. But He made His own people go forth like sheep and guided them in the wilderness like a flock. He chose Moses to lead the people and led them safely so that they feared not but the sea overwhelmed their enemies. He brought them to the border of His sanctuary even the mountain, which His right hand had purchased. Let us thank God on this President's Day and give Him the glory for leading our people these many years by His great mercy too.

  • #How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness and grieve him in the desert! Yea, they turned back and tempted God and limited the Holy One of Israel. They remembered not his hand, nor the day when he delivered them from the enemy. How he had wrought his signs in Egypt and his wonders in the field of Zoan: And had turned their rivers into blood and their floods, that they could not drink. He sent divers sorts of flies among them, which devoured them and frogs, which destroyed them. He gave also their increase unto the caterpillar and their labor unto the locust. He destroyed their vines with hail and their sycomore trees with frost. He gave up their cattle also to hail and their flocks to hot thunderbolts. He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation and trouble, by sending evil angels among them. He made a way to his anger; he spared not their soul from death but gave their life over to the pestilence. Psalm 78:40-50

We must be careful not to forget God, how he delivered Israel from all their enemies. For God is a jealous God, visiting the sins of the fathers to the children unto the third generation, but showing mercy to those that keep His commandments. Trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus than to trust and obey.
