Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so, the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Forthwith we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. I Cor. 2:11,12

The Paraclete knows the things of God and not the spirit of man, but the Spirit of God. Forthwith we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit of God. Jesus said just before the cross, I will not leave you as orphans, for I will send you the comforter who will be in you, as well as upon you, the Paraclete. Thank God that he is with us always, even unto the ends of the world. So the world knows us not, but the Spirit of God knows us and guides us into all truth.

  • #But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. I Cor. 2:9,10

It has been written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. Heaven is the most beautiful place that God has prepared for them that love him and no eye has ever seen just how beautiful it is, only God, who reveals them to us by his Spirit.

  • #And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with enticing words of man's wisdom but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power. That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to naught: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. I Cor. 2:1-8

My brothers and sisters, our faith is not to stand in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor the princes of this world, that come to naught: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery. When this word is used it comes from the Greek word Mysterion which had never been revealed before. Hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: which, none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. Satan did not know that by crucifying Jesus, he was cutting off his own head and fulfilling the scripture that said the seed of the woman would cut off the head of the serpent. Thank God that we serve a risen Savior in the power of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • #Because, the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world and things which are despised, hath God has chosen, yea and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence. But in him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption: That, according to as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. I Cor. 1:25-31

For ye see your calling brothers, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God in his wisdom has chosen the foolish things of this world to confound the wise and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty. This is done so that no flesh can glory in his presence. But in him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: God has done this so that he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. So be careful not to exalt yourself, but humble yourself under the mighty hand of God and he will exalt thee in due time.

  • #For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. For the Jews require a sign and the Greeks seek after wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. I Cor. 1:19-24

  • #For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness but unto us which are saved, it is the power of God. I Cor. 1:17-18

Christ sent Paul to preach the cross and not to baptize. Therefore believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved and thine house.

  • #Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul and me of Apollos and me of Cephas and me of Christ. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius. Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name. I Cor. 1:12-15

The Church in Corinth is very carnal as some were followers of Paul, while others Apollos, and others Cephas, and others of Christ. Then they were confused about baptism as some were saying they were baptized of Paul. So it was Paul who corrected them for God is not the author of confusion, and he thanked God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius. We are saved by placing our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and not baptism. As baptism is an outward sign of your faith in Christ and being dead to sin.

  • #God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Now I beseech you, brethren by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye speak the same thing and there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. I Cor. 1:9-11

Let brother love reign among you and speak the same thing with no divisions among you, but be perfectly joined together in the same mind and the same judgment. Paul is concerned about the household of Chloe that there are contentions among you. Be ye kind, tenderhearted and forgiving even as Christ has forgiven thee. When we do this then there will not be contentions or divisions among you.

  • #Paul called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God and Sosthenes our brother, Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours: Grace be unto you and peace, from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance and in all knowledge; Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. I Cor. 1:1-8

This epistle is one of fourteen in the New Testament that Paul wrote and it is to a church that was carnal, full of lawsuits. So this is why he is seeking to strengthen the church in Jesus Christ so that they would be blameless at the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ's coming. It was the goal to enrich the saints in Christ, in all utterance, and in all knowledge: So I challenge you to put on your Stacy Adams shoes and run with us in the scriptures so that we too may be made complete in him.

  • #Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD. Psalm 150:1-6

Praise ye Jehovah in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts and according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet. Praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him with timbrel and dance and praise him forevermore. Let everything that hath breath praise ye Jehovah. Praise ye Jehovah God, for he alone, is worthy of all our praises.
