Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #I cried unto the LORD with my voice; with my voice unto the LORD did I make my supplication. I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble. When my spirit was overwhelmed within, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me. I looked on my right hand and beheld but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul. I cried unto thee, O LORD; I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living. Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors: for they are stronger than I. Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me. Psalm 142:1-7

David is in a cave and he prayed to Jehovah God and showed all his trouble. The wicked laid a snare for him in the way that he walked. I cried out to Jehovah: I said Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living. Attend unto my cry: for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors: for they are stronger than I. O Lord bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: then he says the righteous shall compass me about: for thou shalt deal bountifully with me. Thank God that we too can pray to Jehovah God and he will hear as well as deliver us.

  • #When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet. Our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth. But my eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute. Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me and the gins of the workers of iniquity. Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal escape. Psalm 141:6-10

O Antonia: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute. Keep me from the snares which the wicked have laid for me and the gins of the workers of iniquity. Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst I escape. Thank the Lord for he will protect me from all the workers of all iniquity. So keep your tongue from speaking evil of your neighbors and rejoice in the Lord always; again I say rejoice.

  • #LORD, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice,  when I cry unto thee. Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips. Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practice wicked works with men that work iniquity and let me not eat of their dainties. Let the righteous smite me: it shall be kindness and let and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities. Psalm 141:1-5

Jehovah God, set a watch, O thou great Jehovah before my mouth; keep the door of my lips. We must bridle the tongue, for only God is able to bridle this member. Therefore, we pray that he will set a watch before our mind so that we will only speak good words. Then David cries out to let the righteous smite me, for it shall be oil to my head. I will pray also for them that no calamities will come upon them.

  • #Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. Selah. As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them. Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire: into deep pits, that they rise not up again. Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him. I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted and the right of the poor. Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence. Psalm 140:8-13

Thank thee O thou great Jehovah that thou grant not the desires of the wicked; lest they exalt themselves. Selah. Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him. I know that Jehovah God shall maintain the cause of the afflicted and the right of the poor.

  • #Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man; Which imagine mischiefs in their heart: continually are they gathered together for war. They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent: adders' poison is under their lips. Selah. Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked: preserve me from the violent man: who have purposed to overthrow my goings. The proud have hidden a snare for me and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside: they have set gins for me. Selah. I said unto the LORD, Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD. O God the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle. Psalm 140:1-7

This is a Psalm of David and he is praying for Jehovah God to deliver me from the evil man and preserve me from the violent man. Keep me, O thou great Jehovah from the hands of the wicked who imagine mischiefs in their heart: continually they are gathered together for war. The proud have hidden a snare for me and cords: they have spread a net by the wayside: they have set gins for me. Selah. I have said unto Jehovah, Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O thou great Jehovah, O God the Lord, the strength of my salvation. Thank the Lord thou hast covered my head in the day of battle. What a blessing to call upon the Lord in the day of trouble and he will hear me.

  • #How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee. Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me, therefore, ye bloody men. For they speak against thee wickedly and thine enemies take thy name in vain. Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them, mine enemies. Search me, O God and know my heart: try me and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:17-24

David had learned the bitter lesson of how evil his heart could become when he lusted after Bathsheba and had her husband murdered. So he cries out for Jehovah God to search me, O God, and know my heart: try me and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me and lead me in the way everlasting. We should pray this prayer too lest our hearts become over shadowed with haughtiness and we are tempted to go astray. Only God can know our hearts and how to search them, then to lead us in the way everlasting.

  • #If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me and thy right hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee, but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee. For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are thy works and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hidden from thee when I was made in secret and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. Psalm 139:9-16

David knows the omnipresence of Jehovah and then he thinks about his birth in the wings of the morning. For there in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there shall thy hand lead me and thy right hand shall hold me. The darkness and the light are both alike to thee. For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are thy works and that my soul knows right well. God did not hide thy substance from thee when I was secretly and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being imperfect and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. I will praise thee O God, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

  • #O LORD, thou hast searched me and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and my uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but lo O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before and laid thine hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. Psalm 139:1-8

O thou great Jehovah, thou hast searched me and known me. Thank you, Lord thou knowest my downsitting and my uprising, thou understandest my thoughts afar off. Thou knowest my path and my lying down, thou art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, O thou great Jehovah, that thou knowest altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before and laid thine hand upon me. Whither shall I go from thy spirit? of whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. I preached this passage on Jonah as he tried to go from the presence of the Lord. He too learned that God is everywhere.

  • #I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee. I will worship toward thy holy temple and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. In the day when I cried thou answeredst me and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul. All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth. Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD. Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly, but the proud he knoweth afar off. Thou I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies and thy right hand shall save me. The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands. Psalm 138:1-8

All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O thou great Jehovah, when they hear the words of thy mouth. Yes, they shall sing in the ways of Jehovah God: for great is the glory of Jehovah. Though Jehovah is high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly, but the proud he knows afar off. Even though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou shall revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of my enemies and thy right hand shall save me. Jehovah God will perfect that which concerns me: thy mercy, O thou great Jehovah, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands. For, I will praise thee for ever.

  • #By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion. We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof. For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying Sing us one of the songs of Zion. How shall we sing the LORD's song in a strange land? If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning. If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy. Remember, O LORD, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem: who said raise it, raise it, even the foundation thereof. O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed: happy shall he be that rewarded thee as thou hast served us. Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones. Psalm 137:1-9

By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion. Jehovah God shall not forget Zion in the day of his visitation. For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning. If I do not remember thee, let the tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy. Jehovah will remember and reward those that carried Israel away and the Edomites who said raise it, even the foundation thereof. Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord, for I shall repay. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones. The sins of the fathers shall be recompensed upon the children unto the third generation of those who do not obey thee. Thou wilt have mercy on those that love thee and keeps thine commandments.
