A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

#For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things. Zechariah 8:12 The Lord Jesus Christ is our inheritance
The Hebrew word for prosperous is Shalowm, meaning safe, welfare, i.e., health. prosperity, and peace. Thus saith the LORD of hosts: Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day of the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built. For before these days, there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the affliction: for I set all men every one against his neighbor. But now I will not be unto the residue of this people as in the former days, saith the LORD of hosts. And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing; fear not, but let your hands be strong. For thus saith the LORD of hosts: As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the LORD of hosts, and I repented not: So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.
The Lord Jesus Christ is our inheritance, and as we celebrate Christmas, let us rejoice in the peace and prosperity that comes when we place our faith in Him, the Lion of the tribe of Judah. The first advent, He came as the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world. So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. Fear ye not, for God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. So rejoice in the Lord and His inheritance that He has given us eternal life in His name by the blood which He shed on Calvary. Now, Shalom, health, prosperity, and peace are our inheritance. Let us sing " Joy to the world, the Lord has come." All praise be to thee, O Lord most high from everlasting to everlasting. May we exalt your name forevermore. So let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words of the prophets, which were in the day of the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built. Jesus said Upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against her.
#But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall He come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. Micah 5:2 O little town in Bethlehem
The Hebrew word for Ephratah is Ephraath, meaning fruitfulness. Ephrath, another name for Bethlehem, was also of an Israelitesh woman. Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek. Therefore, will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel. And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall He be great unto the ends of the earth. And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land; and when He shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.
O little town in Bethlehem, is the Christmas Hymn that we get from this passage. Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall He come. Jesus will be born in Bethlehem, and Micah the prophet foretold this event so that Mary and Joseph would be in Bethlehem at the precise time for this to happen. The decree went out that all the world should be taxed. And Joseph, being of the lineage of the house of David, would have to travel to Bethlehem to pay their taxes. The providential will of Jehovah God is amazing, and we see it working to perfection here. Bethlehem was the smallest of towns, but it would have the humble ruler in Israel, whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. What a Savior, that would be born in a manger, in Bethlehem, because there would be no room in the Inn for Him. Though this event had been prophesied to happen, no one was ready, except the shepherds, in the fields. Thank God for taxes, because had they not been demanded, our Lord would not have been born in that place.
#And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Genesis 3:15 The Savior will be born of a woman
The Hebrew word for bruise is Shuwph, meaning to gape, i.e., snap at or break. And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. And the LORD said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life. Unto the woman He said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. And unto Adam He said, because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow thou shalt eat of it all the days of thy life. Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
Christmas is about the Savior who will be born of a woman. Thus, the Virgin Mary was selected to be that woman, and because the serpent beguiled the woman, thou art cursed and between thy seed and her seed it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. For this reason, today the serpent is afraid of man, and man seeks to bruise his head every opportunity given. This would be the reference to Jesus dying on the cross for the sins of all mankind. We are saved from hellfire when we accept Jesus Christ as our Personal Savior. Therefore, the Virgin Mary had to be of the seed of David, from which the Savior would be born, and be the King of kings, and Lord of Lords. Thank God that the curse between the seed of the serpent and the woman will be broken in the Kingdom of God, for then a child will play over the serpent's neck and not be bitten. So thank God for Christmas, for it is a time of gift-giving, and the greatest gift is to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
#Therefore, the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14 God is with us
The Hebrew word for Immanuel is Immanuwel, translated God with us. Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God? Ask it either in the depth, or in the height above? But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD. And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God? Butter and honey shall He eat, that He may know to refuse the evil and choose the good. For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings. The LORD shall bring upon thee, and upon thy father's house, days that have not come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; even the king of Assyria.
God is with us. Isaiah the prophet foretold the coming of the Messiah 700 years before it happened. It was a dark time in the world's history, similar to the darkness we are experiencing today. God promised a virgin would conceive and bear a Son, and His name shall be called Immanuel. God would become a man, and in that hypostatic union, He would be very God, and very Man. We look back on this as the first Advent. I praise God for all His promises are yes, and we say Amen to His glory. That is why when God brought His Son into the world, the angels did sing glory to God in the highest, and peace on earth, and goodwill to all men on whom His favor stands. What a glorious day that was, and we look forward to the day when the Son of God will return a second time. The first Advent was to bring salvation by dying on the cross for our sins. The second Advent, He is coming to take vengeance on all those who obey not this gospel.
#And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God. Luke 1:30 The first Advent
The Greek word for favor is Charis, meaning graciousness of manner or the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in life. To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a Son, and shalt call His name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God shall give unto Him the throne of his father David: And He shall reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of His kingdom there shall be no end.
The First Advent of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was foretold by angels to the Virgin Mary, and she was told Thou hast found favor, meaning graciousness of manner, and the divine influence upon the heart. The Virgin Mary is of the seed of David, for it had been prophesied that the seed of the woman would bruise the serpent's head, and the serpent would be crushed, while the heel of Jesus would only be wounded. Fulfilling the scriptures that He would be wounded for our transgressions, and bruised for our sins. We will be studying Christmas and its significance in our lives. The world will be unaware that the Savior of the world will be born in a manger, and there will be no room for Him in the Inn. This is a classic, and the reason we celebrate Christmas
#Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength. 1 Chronicles 16:28 Happy Thanksgiving!
The Hebrew word for kindreds is Mishpachah, meaning a family, i.e. circle of relatives or a tribe of people. For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: He also is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the people are idols; but the LORD made the heavens. Glory and honor are in His presence; strength and gladness are in His place. Give unto the LORD glory due His name; bring an offering, and come before Him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. Fear before Him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved. Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; and let men say among the nations, the LORD reigneth.
As we celebrate the national day of Thanksgiving, let us remember every day is a day of thanksgiving, and let us enter into His courts with praise. For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised. Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. For His mercy endures to all generations. Taste and see that the Lord is good. Remember how Jesus healed the ten lepers and only one came back to give Him thanks, and he was a Samaritan. We are all a kindred of people, a circle of relatives. So put away your petty fights and come together and give thanks to the Lord, for He is worthy of all our praises. In heaven, all kindreds will sing the Hallelujah chorus to Jesus the Lamb who was slain before the foundations of the world. Forsake not the assembling of yourselves together as is the manner of some, but as we see the day coming, let us provoke one another to love and good works. Man looks at the outside, but God looks at the heart. So enjoy your family while you have them, cause you never know when the Lord while take them away. So put away all bitterness and be tender-hearted and forgiving as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you. Be fast to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of Jesus Christ. Don't let the sun go down on your anger; be angry at sin, but do not be angry at your brother or sister in the Lord. Be at peace with all people and follow holiness, because without holiness no one will see the Lord.
#And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Matthew 17:20 Have faith of a mustard seed
The Greek word for grain is Kokkos, meaning a kernel of seed. Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I suffer you? Bring him hither to Me. And Jesus rebuked the devil, and he departed out of him, and the child was cured from that very hour. Then the disciples came to Jesus apart and said, 'Why couldn't we cast him out?' Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men: And they shall kill Him, and the third day He shall be raised again. And they were exceedingly sorry.
Have faith of a mustard seed. Jesus has just cast out the devil from the child, whom the disciples could not cast out, and when the disciples asked Him how He did it, Jesus replied This kind comes out with fasting and prayer. We need mustard seed faith to cast out this kind of devil. Only by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ can we develop the kind of mustard seed faith. Fasting and prayer are mentioned in marriage, so we need this mustard seed faith to cure our marital devils. Christians cannot be indwelt by the devil, but we can be harassed, and it takes having the faith of a mustard seed to overcome this kind of Satanic attack. Then Jesus tells the disciples the Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men, and they shall kill Him, and the third day He shall be raised again. Once again, the disciples needed mustard seed faith to accept this, but they were exceedingly sorry. It is possible to cast out devils without having saving faith. So make sure you place your faith in the Son of God, and not the mustard seed. This is an anthropomorphic example of faith in Jesus Christ as our Personal Savior. So make sure you have faith of a mustard seed, and not faith in the mustard seed.
#If he takes him another wife, her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish? Exodus 21:10 Let every man have his own wife.
The Hebrew word for marriage is Ownah, meaning sexual cohabitation or to dwell together. And if a man sells his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do. If she pleases not her master, who hath betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her. And if he has betrothed her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters. And if he does not these three unto her, then shall she go out free without money. He that smitteth a man so that he die, shall be surely put to death. And if a man lie not in wait, but God delivers him into his hand; then I will appoint thee a place whither he shall flee.
Let every man have his own wife. The Old Testament allowed for slavery and selling one's daughter as a maidservant. But in the New Testament, this is not to be practiced, as every man is to have his own wife, and every woman her own husband. They are to cohabit together and render due benevolence to one another. Polygamy was practiced in the Old Testament because God winked at it, but He is not winking anymore and commands that all men repent. The husband is to provide a home for his wife, and they are to cohabitate. Dowry is not practiced in the Western world, but in other parts of the world, it remains a prevalent practice. Brothers are not allowed to marry their sisters. This would be incest, which is forbidden. Capital punishment is to be practiced toward anyone who kills a man, but if God delivers him into his hand, then He will appoint thee a place whither he shall flee. This is why Moses had to flee to the back side of the Midian desert to tend to his father-in-law's sheep for forty years for killing the Egyptian.
#Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence, and likewise also the wife unto the husband. 1 Corinthians 7:3
The Greek word for benevolence is Eunoia, meaning kindness and goodwill. Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.
Marriage is honorable in all and the bed undefiled, but fornicators and adulterers God will judge. Paul wrote this passage due to the immorality that was going on in Chapter 6 and warned that the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and not to defile the temple with fornication. Thus, he writes it is good for a man not to touch a woman. This touch is fornication, and to avoid it, every man has to have his own wife, and every woman is to have her own husband. Paul is speaking under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and even though he says, 'I speak by permission and not by commandment,' he is speaking the will of God. Why do so many couples have so much trouble in this area of marriage? It is because they defraud one another without consent for a time and do not submit themselves to prayer and fasting. This should be done for a season, and then come together so the devil cannot tempt you for your incontinency. It is my prayer that if you are married that you share these scriptures with your spouse so they will have a good understanding of what their responsibility in the marriage is. If there are medical reasons why they cannot render due benevolence, then they should seek help from a psychologist about these issues.
#If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him? Luke 11:13 Every good and perfect gift comes from above
The Greek word for gifts is Doma, meaning a present. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask for an egg, will he give him a scorpion? And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered. But some of them said He casteth out devils through Beelzebub, the chief of the devils. And others tempting Him, sought from Him a sign from heaven.
Every good and perfect gift comes from above, from the Father of lights with whom there is no variable of shadow or turning. Thank God Jesus is telling us how much He loves us as His children, and how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him? What profound reasons the Lord Jesus gives us, and it only solidifies how much our Heavenly Father loves us with an everlasting love. The term us being evil is metaphorical in comparing our love to that of our Heavenly Father. Then some tried to say that Jesus was casting out devils by the power of Beelzebub, the chief of devils. And others were tempting Him, seeking a sign from heaven. Jesus said the Jews look for a sign, and the Greeks' wisdom, but there shall be no sign save the sign of Jonah, and He was speaking of Himself being raised from the dead.
