Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #Finally my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe. Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. Phil. 3:1,2

Paul is warning the believers to beware of false teachers who make a sport of you with false doctrine. Therefore rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice forevermore.

  • #Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life to supply your lack of service toward me. Phil. 2:30

Paul is thankful for ALL the suffering that has come because of the cause of Christ.

  • #Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother and companion in labor and fellow soldier but your message and he that ministered to my wants. Phil. 2:25

Paul had another faithful brother, Epaphroditus, who was ministering to the wants of the Apostle Paul. Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness and hold such in reputation: because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me. What a faithful servant he was and a shining light for the Lord.

  • #Him, therefore, I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me. But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly. Phil. 2:23,24

Paul is confident that the Lord will allow him to send Timotheus, along with himself which is a great testimony of the faithfulness of the Lord in their lives. Praise God from who all blessings flow praise God for ever more.

  • #For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state. For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's. Phil. 2:20,21

Timotheus is a faithful servant. The name Timothy means one who honors God. This is what Timotheus does, and that is why Paul has no one who is like minded as he for the things of Jesus Christ's.

  • #But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort when I know your state. Phil. 2:19

Paul has no one as loyal as Timotheus to send to the Philippians so that he can be comforted knowing that they are being fed the Word of life. What a blessing Timotheus was to Paul and no wonder he was comforted in the Lord for the great work that he was doing in the church. We can learn from this example that it is important to be faithful in the service of the Lord. Lord forgive us for not being completely faithful, help us to repent and do the first works. Thank God that He is the God of the second chance and we give you all the glory. Forgetting what is behind I press for the upward way in Jesus Christ the Messiah.

  • #Yea and if I am offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy and rejoice with you all. For the same cause also do ye joy and rejoice with me. Phil. 2:17,18

Paul rejoices to be offered upon the service and sacrifice of the saints. What a joy, for to live is Christ and to die is gain. We joy with others when we share in the same sufferings. For this cause rejoice in the Lord and again I say rejoice forever more. By Faith unto faith.

  • #That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain. Phil. 2:15,16

Paul wanted the believers at Philippi that hold forth the word of life so that he did not labor in vain, and to shine as lights in the world in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation. The goal is that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, which should be every believer's desire. What powerful words these are as I preached a sermon on this passage and it brought life to the congregation that heard it. That is what we as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ are here to do. To stand in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ to hear those words well done good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of the Lord. The opposite will be heard of those who do not hold forth the word of life, I never knew you, depart from me ye workers of iniquity. I pray that no one reading this Blog will fail to hold forth the word of life, for it is my joy to present the word of life as clearly as the Holy Spirit will allow me to.

  • #Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Phil. 2:12

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure. Therefore work out your salvation with fear and trembling. For God would have all men to be saved. Do all things without murmuring and disputings. For blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God.

  • #Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things on earth and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Phil. 2:9-11

Praise God that one day every eye shall see Him and every knee should bow, as well as every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Do it now, and you will be saved for all eternity.
