Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #I know both how to be abased and I know how to abound: everywhere and in all things, I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. Phil. 4:12

The secret in life is how to be humble and how to be lifted up without becoming conceited in spirit. One must know how to be full and how to be hungry at the same time without complaining. For our, God shall supply all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

  • #Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. Phil. 4:11

Paul has learned the secret of life, which is to be content in whatsoever state I am in. This should be the prayer of every child of God today. For this world is not our home we are only pilgrims passing through. Therefore let us rejoice in the Lord always and give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness.

  • #But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again, wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. Phil. 4:10

Paul was thankful that the Philippian church had great concern for him, even though they lacked the wherewithal to provide for his care. Our help comes from the Lord who made the heaven and the earth. Trust in the Lord and do good, verily thou shalt be fed. This faith is our victory that overcomes this world.

  • #Those things, which ye have both learned and received and heard and seen in me, do and the God of peace shall be with you. Phil. 4:9

Paul is urging the believers to emulate his lifestyle as a model Christian. The God of peace will be with you for doing so. For this is the reason that you are to live a lifestyle worthy of the Lord. May God bless us to have such a testimony.

  • #Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report if there be in virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things. Phil. 4:8

Having the right mindset is what it is about, let this mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus.

  • Happy Yom Kippur Day!

  • #Be careful about nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Phil. 4:6

Paul wants the believers to worry about nothing, but with prayer and supplication with thanksgiving to make your desire known unto God. Then the peace of God that passes understanding will compass your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

  • #Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful about nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Phil. 4:5,6

We should pray about everything and worry about nothing. For our, God is at hand. Thank God that He has everything under control. We can take time to give thanks for all that is going on in our lives knowing that God is working everything together for our good.

  • #Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. Phil 4:4

Paul discovers the key to victory in the Christian life is the joy of the Lord. For the joy of the Lord is our strength and this is what he wants to convey to the Church at Philippi. What a God we serve, for angels bow down before Him, heaven and earth adore Him. That is we do when we rejoice in the Lord always.

  • #Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. I beseech Euodias and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord. Phil. 4:1,2

Paul wants the Church to have the mind of Christ and to help one another in the Lord. These two sisters had been competing against one another, which was counterproductive. The Church was not to act as the Gentiles did by lording themselves over the other. The key was to be happy and thankful for the Lord at all times. Jesus had settled who would be the greatest by placing a child in their midst earlier to stop the disciples from competing against one another.
