A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:19

Paul recounts the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living, by stating the fact that our God will supply all our needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. We do not have to worry about running out of money for our daily needs. God supplies just what we need when we need it. So worry about nothing and pray about everything. That is how Paul was able to succeed on all his missionary journeys. When we put the business of the Lord first, then He provides for our business. This is a very comforting verse and one that you should commit to memory. May the Lord bless you richly my beloved brothers and sisters in Christ.

  • #But I have all and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odor of sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing to God. Phil. 4:18

Paul is thankful to the Lord for Epaphroditus, who was used by the Church to deliver an odor of sweet smell, a gift well pleasing to God. How faithful God is to put the right people in our lives at the right time to deliver us from affliction. I pray that you will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living by waiting on God to provide for all of our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

  • #Not because I desire a gift, but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. Phil. 4:17

Paul did not desire the money that the church gave him, but spiritual fruit instead was his desire for them. These three remain faith, hope, and love. The greatest of these is love. That is what Paul desired most of all was for the believers to comprehend what is the love of God and how deep, how high, and how wide the love of God is. Love is the greatest fruit that we can have for your account. So, my brothers and sisters, you do not have fruit comparing yourself to your brother or sister to see who is the greatest. The greatest is a servant of all. That is what the Church needs today servants willing to be the lowest to bow down to the highest our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

  • #For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity. Phil. 4:16

Paul is thankful for the money that was given to him when he had needs in Thessalonica. God is well pleased with such sacrifices. For it is more blessed to give than to receive. This enabled him to do the work of the Lord.

  • #Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving, but ye only. Phil. 4:15

Paul praised the Philippian church for their giving to him on the missionary trip to Macedonia. This is the kind of faith that God is well pleased with, and there will be a great reward in heaven for their faith in the faithfulness of God. We see that true giving is always to be done in faith, looking for God to provide for our needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus. That is why I do not ask for money for this Blog because I know that my God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

  • #Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction. Phil. 4:14

Paul is amazed at how well the church communicated with his affliction, as he had the thorn in the flesh. We do not know what this weakness was, but we know that the power of Christ was on him after he prayed three times to remove it. Jesus told him my grace is sufficient, my strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore Paul learned to glory in his affliction. We would do well to do the same thing today. We all have different thorns, what may be a weakness in me, maybe a strength in you. We have to comfort one another with the comfort from God that He gives us with His grace. We do this by bearing one another burdens. There are thorns to alcoholism and pornography, we have to pray for the Lord to give us the grace to overcome these thorns in the flesh. Truly His grace is sufficient. Check on your brothers and sisters in the Lord and let them know that you are praying for them. That is what made the Church at Philippi so strong in the Lord because they did this.

  • #I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Phil. 4:13

#I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Phil.4:13

Thank God for Jesus who gives us the strength to leave our past behind and move by faith into the future with thanksgiving praising God for the victory over life's battles. No matter what you are facing today, just call out to Jesus Christ for the victory at the cross. When He said it is finished, Satan was defeated, and sin has no hold on the child of God. So victory today is mine. No matter what temptation or trial comes my way I will rejoice in the Lord, for He forever lives. So be a comfort to someone who is suffering today, impart this verse so they can have victory in their life. Don't listen to the lies of the Devil saying your past will never leave you. It has been dealt with on the cross, just tell Satan he is the father of lies and he will perish in hell with all of his lies. The truth is what sets you free. Jesus is the truth. Accept Him today He saves.

  • #I know both how to be abased and I know how to abound: everywhere and in all things, I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. Phil. 4:12

The secret in life is how to be humble and how to be lifted up without becoming conceited in spirit. One must know how to be full and how to be hungry at the same time without complaining. For our, God shall supply all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

  • #Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. Phil. 4:11

Paul has learned the secret of life, which is to be content in whatsoever state I am in. This should be the prayer of every child of God today. For this world is not our home we are only pilgrims passing through. Therefore let us rejoice in the Lord always and give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness.

  • #But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again, wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. Phil. 4:10

Paul was thankful that the Philippian church had great concern for him, even though they lacked the wherewithal to provide for his care. Our help comes from the Lord who made the heaven and the earth. Trust in the Lord and do good, verily thou shalt be fed. This faith is our victory that overcomes this world.
