Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #Now Elisabeth's full time came that she should be delivered and she brought forth a son. And her neighbors and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her and they rejoiced with her. And it came to pass, that on the eight day they came to circumcise the child and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father. And his mother answered and said not so, but he shall be called John. Luke 1:57-60

The Lord had shown great kindness to Elisabeth and she was faithful to name the child John as the angel Gabriel had told her.Obedience is the key to future blessing in the Lord and God used the birth of John to test the hearts of Zacharias and his wife Elisabeth. This tells us to not be weary of doing good, for in due season ye shall reap if you faint not. And the mouth of Zacharias was opened immediately and his tongue loosed and he spake and praised God. That is what we must always do in the midst of the storms of life, praise God. My mother is in hospice care and my sister and I went to see her, I prayed, read scripture, and anointed her head with oil of joy. Weeping may be in the night, but joy comes in the morning. Thank God because the Savior Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary we have hope from the manger to the cross and the empty tomb. So rejoice forevermore Jesus is alive and because He lives we shall live also.

  • #For He that is mighty hath done to me great things and holy is His name. And His mercy is on them that fear Him from generation to generation. He hath shewed strength with His arm: He hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He hath put down the mighty from their seats and exalted them of low degree. He hath filled the hungry with good things and the rich He hath sent empty away. Luke 1:49-53

The Virgin Mary is exalting the Lord Almighty for exalting the lowly and sending the rich away empty-handed. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled. Praise God that He has extended mercy to the merciful and scattered the proud in the imagination of their foolish hearts. This Yuletide season does not get caught up in the debauchery, but instead, magnify the Lord as the Virgin Mary has done. It is a blessing to be with family, but remember our Lord was born in a manger, where oxen were loing and shepherds were guarding their flocks. The angels were singing glory to God in the Highest, peace on earth, good will toward men. Be a peacemaker this Advent season and do not give the devil a chance to sow strife in your life. Glorify God in the Highest. Stay sober and get over your heartaches of the year and thank God for your family, as well as your friends.

  • #For lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her by the Lord. And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior. Luke 1:44-47

Elisabeth is surprised that the Virgin Mary would come to see her first and how the babe, John the Baptist, leaped for joy in her womb. For she told the Virgin Mary blessed is she who has believed, for the Lord shall perform all those things that He had said. The Virgin Mary is elated and rejoices by saying my soul doth magnify the Lord, my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior. Jehovah God has exalted the Virgin Mary because of her humility, For He hath regarded the low estate of His handmaiden: for behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. That is why we always say the Blessed Virgin Mary today as the mother of the Lord Jesus. For she is most blessed among all women. For she has taught us how to be the humble handmaiden of the Lord. Thank God we will see her in heaven with the Lord when we all get to heaven what a glorious day that will be. Rejoice now this Christmas season and give God all the glory for this most beloved Christmas story.

  • #And Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda; and entered into the house of Zacharias and saluted Elisabeth. And it came to pass, that when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: Luke 1:39-41

Dr. Luke tells the intimate details of this story just like a medical doctor would, for the babe John the Baptist leaped in the womb of Elisabeth at the sixth month when he heard the salutation of the Virgin Mary. His mother Elisabeth was full of the Holy Ghost as the Virgin Mary was saluting her and she spoke out blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. Elisabeth knew that she was in the midst of royalty so she saluted the Virgin Mary the way one would salute the royal family. How we wish we could have been there to behold that moment. She felt honored that the mother of our Lord would come to her, for this was confirmation to the Virgin Mary of the faithfulness of God. So take out time to give thanks to God this Advent season at the miracle of Christmas that Christ became a Babe that makes a woman cry and praise the Lord Most High. For salvation was in the womb of the Virgin Mary and John the Baptist as a babe leaped for joy at the mention of the Virgin Mary to Elisabeth. The Babe that was to be born in a manger was destined to die on a Cross for the salvation of all mankind. So we have the birth, death, and resurrection of our Lord all in the Christmas story.

  • #Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born fo thee shall be called the Son of God. Luke 1:34,35

Gabriel answered the Virgin Mary's question by telling her the Holy Ghost shall come upon thee and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee. This is Jehovah God the triune God in the third person of the Trinity shall overshadow thee. The Virgin Mary immediately believes, for the angel assured her that nothing is impossible with God. When the Virgin Mary said Behold the handmaid of the Lord, be unto to me according to thy word, the angel departed her, knowing that his work was done. We too can expect God to move in a mighty way in the second Advent as He did in the first Advent, so we should be ready to receive angelic host into our presence. As the scripture tells us to be careful to entertain strangers for some have entertained angels unawares. Thank God that He has given us His word and we can read it every day and the Holy Spirit will illumine our hearts to believe every word of God cause forever thy Word is settled in heaven. Thank God that the Highest came to the lowly, who slowly believed and the Word was conceived. Just as Elisabeth conceived in her old age, she who was barren has a son. All things are possible with those who believe every word of the Lord.

  • #And Behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb and bring forth a Son, and shalt call His name Jesus. He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the Highest and the Lord God shall give unto Him the throne of His father David: And He shall reign over the house of Jacob forever and of His Kingdom, there shall be no end. Luke 1:31-33

Gabriel told the Virgin Mary that she will have a Babe in her womb and bring forth a Son of the highest, and ye shall call Him Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins. He shall rule of the household of Jacob forever and of His kingdom, there will be no end. The faith of the Virgin Mary was on display for would she believe such a thing could happen to such a humble woman as she? This shows us how the Lord resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. This is truly an example of humility on display and the Virgin Mary will prove equal to the task.

  • #And the angel came in unto her and said, Hail, thou that art highly favored, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God. Luke 1:28-30

Gabriel gave the highest salutation to the Virgin Mary when he said Hail, thou art highly favored, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. This is why many treat the Virgin Mary as a deity, but that is not what God meant, instead it was to signify that she of all women was chosen because of her humility to bear the Son of God. We honor her above all women for this reason. For the scripture said Behold a Virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and He shall be called the Son of the Highest. The Virgin Mary was troubled because she was shocked that she was chosen among women to bear the Son of God. So Gabriel told her not to Fear because thou hast found favor with God. It is the highest blessing to find favor with God, for she was the Virgin that Isaiah 7:14 was speaking of. That is why all generations called her the Blessed Virgin Mary.

  • #And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, to a Virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David and the Virgin's name was Mary. Luke 1:26,27

Gabriel was sent to Nazareth by God to announce to the Virgin Mary that she was highly favored by God and would be chosen to bear the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. Joseph who was of the household of David was espoused to Mary and he would be visited too so that he would indeed marry the Virgin Mary. This is the special message of Christmas that God became a man so that we could be saved from our sin debt. Only Jesus could redeem us and He had to become one of us so that He could die on the Cross as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. So you may not have much this Yuletide season, but if you have Jesus in your heart, then you have all that you need, which is salvation for your soul. Mary immediately received the message with faith in her heart and thanksgiving for the Lord choosing her to bear the Savior of the world.

  • #And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived and hid five months, saying Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men. Luke 1:24,25

The Lord blessed the womb of Elisabeth and she conceived John the Baptist and hid for five months being thankful that God had taken away her reproach among men. For a woman to be without a child was a reproach to men, so because of her faith, God took away her reproach for she never doubted when the angel told Zacharias her husband that she would conceive. This was a great lesson for us how God rewards faith and those who believe every word of the Lord. Next time the doctor tells you otherwise, just go to God in prayer and burdens are lifted there. Elisabeth conceived six months before Mary would be impregnated by the Holy Spirit with the Lord Jesus. What an honor this was to be in the lineage of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • #And behold, thou shalt be dumb and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season. And the people waited for Zacharias and marveled that he tarried so long in the temple. Luke 1:20,21

Gabriel had to discipline Zacharias for his unbelief and set the example that God does not show favoritism. This proves to us that no matter who we are in our walk of faith, we can still have a faith failure. The scripture tells us to test ourselves to see that we are in the faith. Let him that thinks he stands to take heed lest he too would fail. The people were shocked that Zacharias had spent so much time in the temple, for they perceived that he had seen a vision. Yet he beckoned to them and remained speechless. So after his ministration were completed he departed to his own house. So trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not unto thy understanding. This scripture is very important for us to stay in the faith trusting God no matter what He tells us to do. It is my prayer that this Advent season that you will lift up your eyes unto the hills from which comes our help, for our help comes from the Lord.
