Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the most High. Lamentations 3:35

The Hebrew word for most High is Elyown; which means the Supreme; an elevation. From Alah;  an elevation or to ascend, arises up cause to ascend. Genesis 19:15 and when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying Arise, take thy wife and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city. The most high God. Elyown told the angels to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah for the wickedness of the city was great. Lot and his wife, with their two daughters were told not to look back. Jesus told us to remember Lot's wife, for she looked back and became a pillar of salt. The warning is there for us as in the last days it will be as Sodom and Noah. Noah was able to save his family, but Lot was mocked by his sons-in-law and they ultimately perished in the firey brimstone that fell on Sodom. When the Son of man comes back to this earth, will He find faith on the earth? This is the ultimate problem as man has turned aside the right of a man before the face of the Most High. Let us warn the wicked as Lot did and he was vexed at the filthy conversations of the wicked. God is not willing that any would perish, but that all would repent Which means a change of mind. Let us keep our eyes on Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy before Him endured the cross, despising its shame and now He is seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven interceding for us. Let us do as the Apostle Paul said," Forgetting what is behind, Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended; but this one thing I do: Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth unto those things which are before. Paul is talking about perfection, which God demands of us, it does not come by keeping the Law, but by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. That is why we must increase our faith by forgetting the things of this world and looking unto Jesus the Author and finisher of our salvation

  • #To crush under His feet all the prisoners of the earth. Lamentations 3:34

The Hebrew word for prisoners is Asir; meaning a bondman; From Acar; bound, i.e. A captive. Judges 16:21 But the Philistines took him and put out his eyes and brought him down to Gaza and bound him with fetters of brass and he did grind in the prison. Samson is an example of a Judge who failed to put to death the lust of the eyes. He was married to Delilah, and this was against the will of God, so she nagged Samson until he told her the secret of his power. Then once he did she cut off his hair and he was weak like other men, the Philistines took Samson put out his eyes made him a prisoner, and bound him with fetters of brass and he was grinding in the prison house. This is an example of us being prisoners to sin, Jesus said if you are going to be my disciple, you must deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow Me. Samson had time to think about his mistakes, so he prayed to God to restore his power, so he would avenge the Philistines for putting out his eyes. It was not until Samson prayed Lord let me die with the Philistines, that God restored his power. Samson's manifest destiny was to begin to deliver the children of Israel from the Philistines. 3000 Philistines were watching him grind in the prison house, and God restored the power of Samson. A lad led him to the temple pillars and Samson pulled with all his might and killed more Philistines in his death than his life. Samson is in the Hall of Faith of Hebrews 11 and we will see him in heaven. We as Christians are prisoners of Hope. We are waiting for the coming of the Lord Jesus to take us to heaven. We must mortify the flesh as we wait, and witness to this world that God gets the glory out of our lives when we submit to His plan for us as prisoners of Hope. As the Psalmist said why art thou cast down O my soul? Hope thou in God, for I will yet praise Him.

  • #For He doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men. Lamentations 3:33

The Hebrew word for afflict is Anah; meaning to chasten self or flagellate self. This is paradoxical for the scripture tells us whom the Lord loves He chastens. Hebrews 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom He receiveth. Psalm 119:75 I know, O LORD, that thy judgments are right and that thou hast in faithfulness afflicted me. So it is because of the faithfulness and love of God that He allows us to be afflicted. Psalm 119:71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes. So David learned the statutes of the Jehovah God and we do too by affliction. If we are without chastisement we are illegitimate children. We are told not to grieve the Holy Spirit whereby we are sealed until the day of redemption. So thank God for His love and mercy which is new every morning and shout for joy when you are afflicted. The Holy Spirit convicts us in righteousness, and judgment so that we become holy. For God is holy and He demands that we live a holy life and He does this through affliction.

  • #But though He causes grief, yet will He have compassion according to the multitude of His mercies. Lamentations 3:32

The Hebrew word for mercy is Checed; meaning goodness, kindness, piety, reproof, and beauty. From Chacad; kindness, by implication (towards God) Beauty, and favor. Nehemiah 13:14 Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out the good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof.Jehovah God does not cause grief willingly, but when we disobey His law, we provoke the chastisement of the Lord, as was happening in Nehemiah's day they were selling fish, wine. and grapes and all manner of burdens which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day. God will have merciful kindness towards us when we repent and will not forget our good deeds that we have done serving Him. Thank God that His mercy is everlasting and though He will cause grief for us, He restores us when we show our contritian before Him. When we live a pieous life God will reward us, as we practice extending mercy to our brothers and sisters in the Lord. Blessed are the merciful. for they shall obtain mercy.

  • #For the Lord will not cast off for ever: Lamentations 3:31

The Hebrew word for Lord is Adonay; my Lord. An emphatic form of Adown; The Lord (used as a proper name of God only) The meaning of Adon is sovereign, controller. Lord, Master, owner.Compares with names beginning with Adoni Isaiah 26:13 O LORD our God, other lords beside thee have had domimion over us, but by thee only will we make mention of thy name. Thank Jehovah God, that Adoni will not cast us off forever. Hebrews 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth He chastens and scourgeth every son whom He receiveth. The Greek word for chasten is Paideuo; meaning to train children, or correct them. From Pais; to train up a child, i.e. Educate or.(by implication) discipline (by punishment) and instruct. so that He can teach how to learn to behave. Hence He does not cast us off forever, but trains us how to be better Christians. James 1:2 My brethren count it all joy, when ye fall into divers temptations, it is for the trying of our faith which produces patience. Let patience have its perfect work in you so that you will be complete not lacking in your faith. John 15:11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. The Lord cast us off, like pruning a tree of dead branches, so that we may bear moe fruit, and that our fruit will remain. So thank the Lord that He does not leave us or forsake us. For Jesus said I will be with you always until the end of the Age.

  • #He giveth his cheek to him that smiteth him: he is filled full with reproach. Lamentations 3:30

The Hebrew word for cheek is Lechi; meaning the jaw-bone. From an unused root meaning to be soft; the cheek (from its fleshiness) hence the jaw-bone. Isaiah 30:28 And his breath, as an overflowing stream, shall reach to the midst of the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of vanity and there shall be a bridle in the jaws of the people, causing them to err. And there shall be upon every high mountain and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall. Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound. Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with His anger, and the burden thereof heavy: His lips are full of indignation and His tongue as a devouring fire. Isaiah 30:25-27 We see when Jehovah God comes to take vengeance on the people who harassed His people Israel, it will be as when Samson slew 1000 Philistines with the jaw-born of an ox. This is why the scripture tells us vengeance is for the Lord Jehovah, for He shall repay. There will be signs in the moon, and the sun shining seven times brighter and the moon shining as bright as the sun. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Lord. Kiss the Son, less He be angry. For this earth is His footstool, and one day He is going to shake it real good.

  • #He putteth his mouth in the dust; if so be there may be hope. Lamentations 3:29

The Hebrew word for dust is Aphar; meaning clay, earth, or mud. Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul. Jehovah God spoke to the dust when He created man, and from the clay of the earth, man was formed. Then God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life. Isaiah 64:8 But now, O LORD, thou art our Father and we are the clay and thou our potter and we all are the work of thy hand. God considers our frame and remembers that we are but dust. Man is using Artificial Intelligence to try to create robots that can usurp the power of God. This technology has the same beginnings as the tower of Babel, where God disseminated the language of man. Robots do not have a body, or a soul, so they cannot speak to us about issues of salvation. God will ultimately come and put an end to this technology and usher in the Kingdom of God wherein will dwell righteousness. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you. Then hope thou in the Lord for He alone can save us. For from dust we were created and to dust we shall return. While the outward man is perishing, the inward man is being renewed in Christ Jesus.

  • #He sitteth alone and keepeth silence because he hath borne it upon him. Lamentations 3:28

The Hebrew word for silence is Dama; meaning to be dumb, to be astonished, to stop, to perish. Amos 5:13 Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it is an evil time. The Fifth Amendment gives us the right to remain silent and not to incriminate ourselves. A fool is wise when he knows when to keep silent. Being alone is a good way to keep silent because no one is there to bug you. The father told his son I am leaving for a while, and I do not want anybody to find out you are a fool, so keep silent. So it was that some visitors came to the house to seek his father. They asked if he was home, and the boy kept silent, so they said, what are you a fool? Then they left and the father came back home shortly. So the boy said dad, they found out anyway. Sometimes even being silent a fool can be found out. Nevertheless, it is wise to keep silent and know when to speak and when to shut up. Many marriages could be saved if couples learned how to keep silence when needed. A gossip spreads lies and separates close friends. If you do not have anything good to say, then it is a good time to keep silent. Bear your own secrets to God, for He alone is able to keep secrets.

  • #It is good for a man that he bears the yoke in his youth. Lamentations 3:27

The Hebrew word for yoke is Ol; meaning a yoke. Or Mowl; from Alal; a yoke (as imposed on the neck) literally or figuratively. The meaning of Alal is to effect thoroughly, to glean, mock, practice abuse, to overdo, maltreat be saucy to  Exodus 10:2 And that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son's son, what things I have wrought in Egypt and my signs which I have done among them: that ye may know how that I am the LORD. Jehovah God wanted Moses to teach his son and grandson, how they had to suffer in Egypt mistreatment, so that they would know how Jehovah delivered them. There are some things we can only learn as young men. This is why the Apostle Paul told the church not to appoint as pastor a novice in the faith. There needs to be time to bear the yoke of affliction in your youth so that you can be able to appreciate the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. I learned early about sufferings and hardships as a boy, for I had to work as a dishwasher in a restaurant at the age of 16 and give money to support my Mom and Dad. It is a blessing to me that I did that for I learned why the scripture said the parents are not to lay up for the children, but the children for the parents. This teaches us to honor our father and mother all the days of our lives. This commandment comes with a blessing as it will do well with thee. and thou shalt live a long life. Moses learned as a young man at forty that he was not ready to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt when he slew the Egyptian and had to flee to his father-in-law Jethrow in the desert for forty years. It was at eighty that Moses was ready to lead the children of Israel  May the Lord touch the young men today to learn to endure hardness as a good soldier of the Lord Jesus Christ, as Paul told the young minister Timothy to do.

  • #It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. Lamentations 3:26

The Hebrew word for hope is Yachil; meaning expectant. This verb is in the imperfect tense, but very dubious. The Hebrew word Yachal means to wait, to be patient, and to hope. A  primitive root, to wait, by implication(cause to have, make to) be pained, stay, tarry, trust, and wait. This is what Jehovah God wants us to do while we are waiting for our salvation. It is assured for it is promised by God, and He is not a man, that He could lie. So we have this hope as a consolation to the soul. Hebrews 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie; we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: 2 Corinthians 1:7 And our hope of you is steadfast, knowing that as ye are partaking of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation. As the coming of the Lord is sure and He will come as a thief in the night. So be ye also ready, for at a time when ye think not the Lord will come. Israel is the fig tree, and we are told to watch the fig tree, meaning summer is near when the leaves bud. 1948 Israel became a nation, and in 1967 Jerusalem was captured. So all that is left is for the building of the third temple, and then the false messiah will come with a seven-year peace treaty. This will be the time of Jacob's trouble. We must watch for the Rapture of the church for this is imminent, and the next thing to take place on God's calendar of events. Ever so come Lord Jesus.
