Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? arise, cast us not off forever. Wherefore hidest thou thy face and forgettest our affliction and our oppression? For our soul is bowed down to the dust our belly cleaveth unto the earth. Arise for our help and redeem us for thy mercies sake. Psalm 44:23-26

The Lord Jesus does not sleep or slumber as the psalmist is wondering why God seems silent in our affliction. Yet for His mercies sake, He shall arise for our help. I thank God for my Christian brother Victor and for his wife Lilly who came by to visit and pray with me. May the blessing of the Lord be upon them.

  • #All this has come upon us; yet have we not forgotten thee, neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant. Our heart is not turned back neither have our steps declined from thy way; Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons and covered us with the shadow of death. if we have forgotten the name our God or stretched out our hands to a strange god; shall not God search this out? for He knoweth the secrets of the heart. Yea, for thy sake we are counted as sheep for the slaughter. Psalm 44:17-22

O God have mercy upon us if we have forgotten thee or have dealt falsely in thy covenant. For thou alone knowest the secrets of a person's heart. For we are counted as sheep for the slaughter and for thy sake killed all day long. O shall the grave praiseth thee?  Restore unto us the joy of thy salvation and create in me a clean heart O God.

  • #For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me. But thou hast saved us from our enemies and hast put them to shame that hated us. In God, we boast all the day long and praise thy name forever. Selah Psalm 44:6,7,8

Thanks that those that hate us are put to shame. What a mighty God we serve and we give Him all the glory for what He has done.

  • #We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old. How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand and plantedst them: how thou didst afflict the people and cast them out. For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand and thine arm and the light of thy countenance hadst a favor unto them. Thou art my King, O God: command deliverances for Jacob. Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us. For I will trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me. But thou hast saved us from our from our enemies and hast put them to shame that hated us. Psalm 44:1-7

  • #Judge me, O God and plead my cause against an ungodly nation; O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man. For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill and to thy tabernacles. Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea upon the harp will I praise thee, O my God. Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise Him, who is the health of my countenance and my God. Psalm 43:1-5

David praises God with his harp and comes out of a deep state of depression. We learn to hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him. Never give in to depression but praise God in the midst of the storms of life.

  • #O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan and of the Hermonites from the hill Mizar. Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me. Yet the LORD will command His lovingkindness in the daytime and in the night His song shall be with me and my prayer unto the God of my life. I will say unto God my rock, why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me: while they say daily unto me where is thy God? Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise Him, who is the health of my countenance and my God. Psalm 42:6-11

    1. #As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, where is thy God? When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me; for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with the multitude that kept holyday. Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance. Psalm 42:1-5
    2. David is in a deep state of depression and he is reminded of the deer thirsting for the water brook. Then he remembers my soul thirsts for the living God and wonders when shall I appear before Him? Then he thinks of the worship service and those that celebrate the holyday of the Lord. While crying out why art thou disquieted in me? Hope thou in God, for I shall yet praise Him. For God is the help of my countenance. So whatever you find yourself in, do not despair but hope thou in God
    1. #All that hate me whisper together against me; against me do they devise my hurt. An evil disease, say they cleaveth fast unto him and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more. Yea, mine own familiar friend in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me. But thou O LORD, be merciful unto me and raise me up, that I may requite them. By this, I know that thou favourest me because of mine enemies doth not triumph over me. And as for me in mine integrity and settest me before thy face forever. Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen. Psalm 41:7-13
  • #Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive and he shall be blessed upon the earth and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt makes all his bed in his sickness. I said LORD, be merciful unto me heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee. Mine enemies speak evil of me, when shall he die and his name perish? And if he comes to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it. Psalm 41:1-6

Thank Jehovah God that He considers the poor and will deliver him in times of trouble. Yes the Lord will keep him alive and not deliver him into the hand of his enemies. Praise Him today.

  • #Withhold not thy, tender mercies from me, O LORD; let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me. For innumerable evils have compassed me about: my iniquities have taken hold upon me so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me. Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me. Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil. Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that says unto me Aha, aha. Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, the LORD be magnified. For I am poor and needy: yet the LORD thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer make no tarrying O my God. Psalm 40:11-17
