Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #They said in their hearts let us destroy them together: they have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land. We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long. O God how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name forever? Why withdrawest thou thy hand, even thy right hand? pluck it out of thy bosom. For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth. Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters. Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness. Psalm 74:8-14

God is He that saves with His right hand and will work salvation in the midst of the earth. Thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters and made leviathan the meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness. Who is like unto thee O God? For thou savest to the uttermost those that call upon thee. Hear us O God for we are the sheep of thy pasture and please listen to the works of thy creation.

  • #O God, why hast thou cast us off forever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture? Remember thy congregation which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance which thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt. Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual desolations: even all that the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary. Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations: they set up their ensigns for signs. A man was famous according, as he had lifted up axes upon the thick trees. But now they break down the carved work thereof at once with axes and hammers. They have cast fire into the sanctuary, they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place of thy name to the ground. Psalm 74:1-7

Asaph is concerned about the sanctuary being defiled. as he begs God to lift up thy feet unto the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary. We must be careful how we worship God, and that our lives do not tear down what God has done for us in the sanctuary for His glory. It is important that we destroy the idols that try to creep into our lives and ruin our worship. O God, we repent of the idols that have allowed us to become lukewarm in our worship of thee. Light a fire under our feet so that our hearts will burn with holy fire for thee alone O God. Thank you, God, for sending your Holy Spirit to convict us of our sins so that we repent immediately of our sins, and making you the Lord of our lives.

  • #Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction. How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors. As a dream when one awakest, thou shalt despise their image. Thus my heart was grieved and I was pricked in my reins. So foolish was I and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee. Nevertheless, I am continually with thee: Thou hast held me by my right hand. Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire besides thee. My flesh and my heart faileth but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. For lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee. But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy works. Psalms 73:18-28

Asaph is awakened from his sleep as God Almighty tells him in the sanctuary what is the end of the wicked. As in slippery places, thou didst cast them, they are utterly consumed with terrors. Then he is told Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel and afterward receive me to glory. I am so thankful for whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none I desire beside thee. I know my flesh and my heart will fail, but thou O God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Help me O God to dwell in your sanctuary forever, for there will I receive the strength and the help for all my needs.

  • #Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart. But as for me, my feet were almost gone: my steps had well nigh slipped. For I was envious at the foolish when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. For there are no bands in their death but their strength is firm. They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men. Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment. Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish. They are corrupt and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily. They set their mouth against the heavens and their tongue walketh through the earth. Therefore his people return hither and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them. And they say, how doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High? Behold, these are ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches. Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain and washed my hands in innocence. For all the day long have I been plagued and chastened every morning. If I say, I will speak thus: behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children. When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end. Psalm 73:1-17

Asaph is writing this Psalm and he starts out by saying God is good to Israel even to such as are of a clean heart, but then he says my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped. For I was envious of the foolish when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. Until he when into the sanctuary of God, then he understood their end. We must learn how to dwell in the sanctuary of God so that we too do not become envious of the foolish and the wicked. For there God deals with our heart and shows us their end. Yes, God is good to Israel and such as are of a clean heart.

  • #There shall be a handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth. His name shall endure for ever: His name shall be continued as long as the sun and men shall be blessed in Him: all nations shall call Him blessed. Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things. And blessed be His glorious name forever and let the whole earth be filled with His glory; Amen and Amen. The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended. Psalm 72:16-20

Jehovah God shall endure forever and all nations shall call Him blessed, the God of Israel who only does wondrous things. Let the whole earth be full of His glory; Amen and Amen. As these prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended and the third division of the books of the Psalms is about to start. What a joy to go through these Psalms every day.

  • #Yea, all kings shall fall down before Him: all nations shall serve Him. For He shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also and him that hath no helper. He shall spare the poor and needy and shall save the souls of the needy. He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence and precious shall their blood be in His sight. And He shall live and to Him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually and daily shall He be praised. Psalm 72:11-15

Jesus shall save the souls of the poor and needy, as well as those who have no helper. Thank God that He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence. Their blood shall be precious in His sight. What a God we serve. Prayer also shall be made for him continually and daily shall He be praised. Amen and Amen.

  • #He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth. In his days shall the righteous flourish and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth. He shall have dominion also from sea to sea and from the river unto the ends of the earth. They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him and his enemies shall lick the dust. The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts. Psalm 72:6-10

This is a picture of the Lord Jesus Christ, as His enemies shall lick the dust. He shall have dominion also from sea to sea and from the river unto the ends of the earth. He shall rule in Jerusalem the capital of Israel and the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts to Him. There will be peace as long as the moon endures, for He shall rule with a rod of iron. What a time to be alive as we are seeing all the signs of the coming Kingdom. For the kingdoms of this world shall become the Kingdoms of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • #Give the king thy judgments, O God and thy righteousness unto the king's son. He shall judge thy people with righteousness and thy poor with judgment. The mountains shall bring peace to the people and the little hills, by righteousness. He shall judge the poor of the people, He shall save the children of the needy and shall break in pieces the oppressor. They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations. Psalms 72:1-5

A Psalm of Solomon to the Lord God that He will judge thy people with righteousness and the poor with judgment. This will happen when the Lord is ruling in the Millienial Kingdom on earth the Government will be on His shoulders and He shall be the Prince of Peace. Then he shall judge the poor of the people, He shall save the children of the needy as well as break the hands of the oppressor in pieces. Those that fear thee will endure as the sun and moon.

  • #Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shall quicken me again and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth. Thou shalt increase my greatness and comfort me on every side. I will praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel. My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee and my soul, which thou hast redeemed. My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seeks my hurt.  Psalm 71:20-24

The Lord will raise me up from the grave and I will praise Him with the harp. My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee and my soul which thou hast redeemed. For thou art worthy of all our praises and we serve you as others have served you on the Martin Luther King day. We too can dream that one day we will overcome when we see Jesus in that great getting up morning.

  • #My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof. I will go in the strength of the Lord God: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even thine only. O God, thou hast taught me from my youth and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works. Now also when I am old and gray-headed, O God, forsake me not until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation and thy power to everyone that is to come. Thy righteousness also, O God is very high, who has done great things: O God, who is like unto thee! Psalm 71:15-19

Twice the Psalmist has made mention of the Lord not forsaking him when he is old and gray-headed until he has shewed thy strength unto this generation and thy power to everyone that is to come. What a blessing it is to grow old in wisdom and grace of the Lord to share the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Therefore listen to me my children and children of my children. For God is good and his mercy endures to all generations. Be careful how you live and be sure to give glory to the God most High.
