A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

#Then I said, I shall die in my nest and I shall multiply my days as the sand, My root was spread out by the waters and the dew lay all night upon my branch. My glory was fresh in me and my bow was renewed in my hand. Unto me, men gave ear and waited and kept silence at my counsel. After my words, they spake not again and my speech dropped upon them. And they waited for me as for the rain and they opened their mouth wide as for the latter rain. If I laughed at them, they believed it not and the light of my countenance they cast not down. Job 29:18-24
Job, was a trusted counselor man waited and kept silent at his counsel. They waited for him as for the rain and they opened their mouth wide as for the latter rain. We too need to be men and women of integrity in this coronavirus pandemic as many are suffering from mental illness in this virus. With many who have lost jobs and fallen into a deep depression, they need to have hope for another day. I too have mental illness and I find Psalms as a comforting book of the Bible to go to for why art thou cast down Oh my soul, hope thou in God. Our faith will see us through many down days just as it did for Job. We must know that all of our appointed days to wait upon God, until our change comes.
#When the ear heard me, then it blessed me and when the eye saw me, it gave witness to me; Because I delivered the poor that cried and the fatherless and him that had none to help him. The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy. I put on righteousness and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem. I was eyes to the blind and feet was I to the lame. I was father to the poor and the cause which I knew not I searched out. And I brake the jaws of the wicked and plucked the spoil out of his teeth. Job 29:11-17
Job then tells of the good deeds that he does for the poor, and the fatherless that had none to help him. He received the blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me and I was the cause of the widow's heart to sing. This tells us how righteous a man Job was and yet he was not immune to trouble. God causes the sun to shine on the righteous and the unrighteous; as well as the rain to fall on the just and the unjust. Job made a plan to put on righteousness and it clothed him. His judgment was as a robe and a diadem. Truly righteousness exalts a people, but sin takes them to judgment. We can learn a lot from Job and direct our steps in the fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of wisdom. Pray for your neighbors who are besieged by this coronavirus pandemic and God will bless you for doing so.
#Oh that I was as in months past, as in the days when God preserved me; When his candle shined upon my head and when by his light I walked through darkness; As I was in the days of my youth when the secret of God was upon my tabernacle; When the Almighty was yet with me, when my children were about me; When I washed my steps with butter and the rock poured me out rivers of oil; When I went out to the gate through the city, when I prepared my seat in the street! The young men saw me and hid and the aged arose and stood up. Job 29:2-8
Job continues his parable as he remembers when he was with his children, how he interceded for them, as in the days when God preserved me. When I washed my steps with butter and the rock poured me out rivers of oil; When Job was wealthy he was honest and God called him a righteous and perfect man. How we wish we could be called that by God and no wonder Satan wanted to discredit this great man of God. We need to have the faith and patience of Job as he said when God has tried him, he would be as gold. In this coronavirus pandemic, we need to look to Jehovah Rapha our healer to deliver us and have faith that all things are working together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to his purpose. Job is a fine example of one who suffered and gave glory to the Almighty knowing that in time he would be vindicated. Jesus suffered and set the greatest example of how we are to suffer and is now seated at the right hand of the Father in glory interceding for us.
#To make the weight for the winds and he weigheth the waters by measure. When he made a decree for the rain and a way for the lightning of the Thunder. Then did he see it and declare it, yea, and searched it out. And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom and to depart from evil is understanding. Job 28:25-28
Job is showing his Meteorological knowledge as he sums up how God causes rain and lightning of the Thunder to come on the earth. Then to make the weight for the winds and the waters by measure. This truly is great and unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom and to depart from evil is understanding. For there is nothing hid that shall not come to light. Job knows that it is hidden why all the trouble has come upon him, but in due time God will bring it all to light. We too are wondering why the coronavirus pandemic has come upon the whole world, but God wants us to wait upon Him to bring it to light. We must trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not to our understanding, but in all our ways acknowledge Him and He will bring it to pass. This is true wisdom and it is more valuable than rubies and more desired than choice gold. So thank God for your troubles and know that God will cause all things to work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to his purpose.
#Though he heaps up silver as the dust and prepares raiment as the day; He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on and the innocent shall divide the silver. He buildeth his house as a moth and as a booth that the keeper maketh. The rich man shall lie down but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes and he is not. Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest stealeth him away in the night. The east wind carrieth him away and he departeth and as a storm hurleth him out of his place. For God shall cast upon him and not spare: he would fain flee out of his hand. Job 27:16-22
Job gives a discourse on what shall happen to the rich as they heap up silver as the dust and prepares clothing as clay. How God shall cause the just and innocent to divide the silver. When the rich man dies, he shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered; he opens his eyes and he is not. Jesus told the parable of the rich man that dies and opens his eyes in hell, being in torment in the flame. Job is mindful of how he was as a rich man and that he honored God with his riches. How should the poor and not set his eyes on his riches? Jesus said it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter heaven. As we consider this coronavirus pandemic as the rich and the poor suffer alike. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus the Author are of and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the Cross, despised the shame and is now seated at the right hand of God in heaven. So we can overcome this pandemic and pray for those suffering that they shall be healed, just as Job was healed of his boils.
#He divideth the sea with his power and by his understanding, he smiteth through the proud. By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent. Lo, these are parts of his ways but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand? Job 26:12-14
Job is asking great and astonishing questions and he ends with the greatest of them all: Lo, these are parts of his ways but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand? When Jesus was on the Mount of Transfiguration, there came a voice from heaven saying this is my Beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. The voice of the Lord is as thunder and when Jesus will return to earth the second time it will be as the lightning flashes from the east to the west. See the awe of his power that the whole world is subject to him. So none of us is able to phantom the thunder of his power. We praise thee O God and thank thee that the whole creation is in awe of thee alone.
#He stretcheth out the north over the empty place and hangeth the earth upon nothing. He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds and the cloud is not rent under them. He holdeth back the face of his throne and spreadeth his cloud upon it. He hath compassed the waters with bounds until the day and night come to an end. The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof. Job 26:7-11
Job is now a Meteorologist, as he explains how God holds up the waters in his thick clouds and the cloud is not torn under them. This is amazing and God holds back the face of his throne and spreads his cloud upon it. The Word of God tells us that clouds are his chariots, and one day he will call his children up into the clouds and the dead in Christ will be changed in a moment quicker than the twinkling of an eye. When Jesus ascended into the heavens he was caught up into a cloud and God used the cloud to blind the Egyptian army at the Red Sea. What a lesson on the clouds and how God causes rain to come upon the earth. The earth is hanging on an axis on nothing and revolves around the Sun. What a God we serve who calls the world together out of nothing. Job is rewarded with wisdom from God for the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. The Bible tells us that if a man lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who braided not and gives it to all that asks.
#But Job answered and said, How hast thou helped him that is without power? how savest thou the arm that hath no strength? How hast thou counseled him that hath no wisdom? and how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is? To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee? Dead things are formed from under the waters and the inhabitants thereof. Job 26:1-5
Job has responded to Bildad with a series of questions, as he is a great apologist and has befuddled his friends with questions they cannot answer. Then he says dead things are formed from under the waters and the inhabitants thereof. Hell is naked before him and destruction hath no covering. God is in charge of this world and all the events that happen to us are appointed, as there is a time to be born and a time to die. Man will have to give an account of his life before the Almighty and those who did not place their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ will spend eternity in Hell. Yes, this is a sobering thought for those facing the coronavirus pandemic and should cause everyone to examine himself to see that he is indeed in the faith. In the end, God will answer the questions of Job with questions that Job cannot answer.
#Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise? How then can a man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman? Behold even to the moon and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight. How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm? Job 25:3-6
Bildad opens his mouth with a number of questions and calls a man a worm. It is true that a man born of a woman is of a few days and full of trouble. A man was created a little lower than the angels yet crowned with glory and honor. Job has to be wondering why Bildad is calling him a worm and we too must be careful what we call our coronavirus pandemic that we are going through as many are suffering from this virus. May we comfort our brothers and sisters with words of hope not calling them worms. In the end, Job will be restored when he prays for his three friends. So I would say pray for those suffering and let them know that you love them with kind deeds.
#Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days? Some remove the landmarks; they violently take away flocks and feed thereof. They drive away from the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox for a pledge. They turn the needy out of the way: the poor of the earth hide together. Behold, as wild asses in the desert, go they forth to their work; rising betimes for a prey: the wilderness yieldeth food for them and for their children. Job 24:1-5
Job asks a great question: Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days? It is true God is omniscient and our times are not hidden from him. For he sees our frame and considers that we are but dust. Therefore it behooves us to number our days so that we may direct our hearts to wisdom. Job does just this as he notes all the wicked of the earth how they take away landmarks and drive away from the ass of the fatherless, while they take the widow's ox for a pledge. This is what the Lord requires of thee, to do justly, love mercy, and live our days in the fear of the Lord.
