A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

Jehovah God tells the Israelites that turn judgment to wormwood and leave off righteousness in the earth to seek him that made the seven stars and Orion. The seven stars of God and the seven spirits of God are manifest of his power in the heavens. Stars are symbolic of people as in the resurrection one star will differ from another star in glory. As God turns the shadow of death into the morning and makes the day dark with the night; he is telling us to seek him early because Jesus who defeated the last enemy of the cross death, when he rose the third day. How mighty is our God that calls the waters of the sea and pours them upon the face of the earth: Jehovah is his name and he is most holy. Therefore as the people of God must be holy as he has commanded us. For soon the stars will fall from heaven when Jesus comes to redeem the earth from the curse of sin. So let us worship the Lord as the sun, moon, and the stars above do.
#For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me and ye shall live: But seek not Bethel, nor enter into Gilgal and pass not to Beersheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity and Bethel shall come to nought. Seek the LORD and ye shall live; lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph and devour it and there be none to quench it in Bethel. Amos 5:4-6
Yes the Israelites were seeking Bethel, and entering Gilgal, while passing through Beersheba. Jehovah God warned them that Gilgal would go into captivity and Bethel would come to nought. We too as Christians are warned not to love the world, for the things of this world, the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life will pass away. We must seek God so that we may live, by turning away from idolatry. It is so easy for us to get caught up into this world, just like the Isralites were caught up in Bethel and Gilgal. Jehovah warns us that if we do not seek him, he will break out like fire in the house of Joseph and devour it, and there be none to quench it in Bethel. God wants us to live holy lives, by repenting of our sins and turning to Jesus the Author and perfector of our faith.
#Hear ye this word which I take up against you, even a lamentation, O house of Israel. The virgin of Israel is fallen; she shall no more rise: she is forsaken upon her land; there is none to raise her up. Amos 5:1,2
The Lord of hosts has left the virgin house of Israel because of her idolatry. They are warned to seek Jehovah God and do good so that they may live. What a warning that is for America to return to the Lord and restore the wages of the poor that they have robbed. God is a forgiving God who will forgive when we repent of our sins and do good in the land of the living.
#I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the palmerworm devoured them: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD. I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword and have taken away your horses and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me saith the LORD. I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD. Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel. Amos 4:9-12
Jehovah God sent mildew, blasting on your gardens, vineyards, fig-trees, and olive trees but ye still did not return to me, your God. Then Jehovah God sent pestilence after the manner of Egypt: America is in the midst of this pestilence with the coronavirus pandemic, cancer, and heart decease yet people still do not return to the Lord. Prepare to meet thy God. Turn from thy sins and repent, by changing your mind about Jesus Christ the only Mediator between God and man. Do not say because you are young none of these things can happen to me. If you turn to the Lord He will restore the years that the locust has destroyed. God is ever merciful and not willing that any would perish, but that you would receive the knowledge of the truth. Jesus is the truth that will set you free from your sin. Receive him today and salvation will be yours.
#And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities and want of bread in all your places: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD. And also I have withholden the rain from you when there were yet three months to the harvest and I caused it to rain upon the city and caused it not to rain upon another city: one place was rained upon and the piece whereupon it rained not withered. Amos 4:6,7
Jehovah God caused cleanness of teeth in all the cities, and want of bread to cause them to repent of their sins. Then Jehovah God caused it to rain on one city and drought in the other city. America is on notice to repent before the same judgment comes on her. We are witnessing the worst weather pattern than ever due to climate change and still, the officials refuse to accept climate change is a reality. It is time to elect a President that believes in climate change. May God bless America to live out the trueness of its calling.
#And ye shall go out at the breaches, every cow at that which is before her and ye shall cast them into the palace, saith the LORD. Come to Bethel and transgress; at Gilgal multiply transgression and bring your sacrifices every morning and your tithes after three years: And offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven and proclaim and publish the free offerings: for this liketh you, O ye children of Israel, saith the LORD. Amos 4:3-5
The children of Israel transgressed at Bethel and Gilgal then paid their tithes after three years, and then they published a sacrifice with thanksgiving with leaven. What hypocrisy and Jehovah God is not pleased with this and we must be careful to repent of our idolatry by seeking the Lord early in the morning. Our God is a sun and shield, he will give grace and glory, no good thing will he will withhold from those that love him.
#Hear this word, he kine of Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, which oppress the poor, which crush the needy, which say to their masters, Bring and let us drink. The Lord GOD hath sworn by his holiness, that lo, the days shall come upon you, that he will take you away with hooks, and your posterity with fishhooks. Amos 4:1,2
God will punish the cows of Bashan in the mountains of Samaria for oppressing the poor and the needy. What a warning that is to America for the income inequality that has taken place where the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. God punished Israel for this behavior and He will punish America if she does not repent. Let us pass blessings to our children and not fishhooks as the cows of Bashan in Samaria did. The Lord is holy and just He will forgive and restore if ye will but call upon the name of the Lord to be saved.
#Hear ye and testify in the house of Jacob, saith the Lord GOD, the God of hosts, That in the day that I shall visit the transgressions of Israel upon him I will also visit the altars of Bethel and the horns of the altar shall be cut off and fall to the ground. And I will smite the winter house with the summer house and the houses of ivory shall perish and the great houses shall have an end, saith the LORD. Amos 3:13-15
Jehovah God will visit the transgressions of Israel upon him when he visits the altars of Bethel and the horns of the altar shall be cut off and fall to the ground. The idolatry will cause God to smite the winter house with the summer house. This will be a meteorological event and it will be massive for the ivory houses shall perish and the great houses shall have an end. Jehovah God is speaking with the hurricanes and tropical storms to get the attention of mankind. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Almighty God.
#Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; An adversary there shall be even round about the land and he shall bring down thy strength from thee and thy palaces shall be spoiled. Thus saith the LORD; As the shepherd taketh out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear; so shall the children of Israel be taken out that dwell in Samaria in the corner of a bed and in Damascus in a couch. Amos 3:11, 12
How beautiful Jehovah God is that he watches over us as a shepherd that takes out of the mouth of the lion two legs or a piece of an ear, so shall the children of Israel be taken out that dwell in Samaria. God does not hold the children guilty of the sins of their parents that brought the judgment of an adversary round about the land. We must train up a child in the way that he should go and when he is old, he will not depart. It is true the sins of the fathers are passed down to the children unto the third generation, but God is faithful that when we plead the Blood of Christ through the obedience of the gospel, he restores as well as breaks the generational curses upon them.
#Publish in the palaces at Ashdod and in the palaces in the land of Egypt and say Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria and behold the great tumults in the midst thereof and the oppressed in the midst thereof. For they know not to do right, saith the LORD, who store up violence and robbery in their palaces. Amos 3:9,10
Jehovah God has warned and the Lion of the tribe of Judah has roared for the palaces of Ashdod, Egypt, and Samaria have been told to stop their violence, as well as the robbery in the palaces of the oppressed. God is a buckler for the poor and he will avenge all those who are oppressed in the palaces. We have seen the destruction of Hurricane Laura and this is a sign that climate change is causing more violent storms to come that bring swift destruction. It is time for man to reduce the carbon footprint in the world before it is too late. The whole creation is groaning and moaning for the redemption of Jesus to come. Even so, come to Lord Jesus.for the salvation of your souls.
