A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #A garden enclosed is my sister, my spouse, a spring shut up, a fountain sealed. Song of Solomon 4:12

Solomon has such love for his Shulamite wife, that she is as precious as a garden enclosed with all kinds of vegetables and a spring of water shut up, a fountain sealed for him only. This is a beautiful picture of marriage as your spouse is to be for you only, forsaking all others, even mother as well as father to cleave to thy wife. Jesus said let no man tear asunder those that are joined in matrimony as marriage is a picture of the relationship Christ has with the Church. There is a fountain sealed with blood taken from Emanuel's Blood and all who plunge in it lose all their guilty stains. We will be presented to the Lord Jesus Christ as a chaste virgin without spot or blemish when He comes to call us to heaven. What a day that will be my Jesus I will see what glory that will be when He takes me by His hand saved by His amazing grace.

  • #Thy lips, O my spouse, drop as the honeycomb: honey and milk are under thy tongue and the smell of thy garments is like the smell of Lebanon. Song of Solomon 4:11

This is a picture of the Lord Jesus Christ and His love for the Church. Jesus is the bread of life and whoever eats that bread has eternal life. Husbands are to love their wives as Christ loves the church and give her the same love that you have for your own body. Clarity comes when you are born again of the Spirit of God. Always give thanks to God for your spouse and you should put on the garments of service as a sign of your love for your spouse. I thank God for marriage for it is honorable in all and the bed is undefiled. Husbands render benevolence to your wives and wives render due benevolence to your husbands. We this is done marriage is wonderful and conflicts are at a minimum. Solomon knew how to do this to the Shulamite Bride from Lebanon. We can learn a lot from one of the wisest men to live with. So if you lack wisdom ask of God who gives to all without discrimination.

  • #Thou hast ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse; thou hast ravished my heart with one of thine eyes, with one chain of thy neck. Song of Solomon 4:9

This passage is telling us that Solomon is married to his sister and she has ravished his heart. Is she really his sister since this would be in violation of Lev. 20:17? I do not believe she is his real sister but it is that his love for her is like a sister in Christ. Abraham was married to Sarah, his half-sister and twice when he was in trouble he pawned her off as his sister. Brothers and sisters are not to marry for the children would have biological defects. This is why we must have blood tests before we get married to prevent this from happening. This is something that causes us to question   Adam and Eve when they had children how did they marry? It is certain that the brother and sister had to marry to populate the earth. The scripture does not tell us that they did but this is a profound theological question that has troubled us and we will have to wait until we get to heaven to talk to our Lord Jesus Christ to understand. We see through a glass darkly now but when He that is perfect comes, then we will know as we are known.

  • #Come with me from Lebanon, my spouse, with me from Lebanon: look from the top of Amana, from the top of Shenir and Hermon, from the lions' dens, from the mountains of the leopards. Song of Solomon 4:8

Solomon is married to the Shulamite and she is from Lebanon which had these mountains and was from the lions' dens, from the mountains of the leopards. Which is symbolic of the Church being in the midst of spiritual warfare. We must put on the whole armor of God so that we are able to stand against all the wiles of the Devil. Satan is a roaring lion going about seeking whom he is able and this is why we must hold up the shield of faith so that we can withstand all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Marriage is under attack and we must fight for our marriages even to the point that it may seem like we are single. Our faith in God is our victory and after we have done all to stand we must stand firm upon the Word of God which is the shield that protects us from all the lies of the wicked one. How many marriages have been destroyed because of lies by the evil one and we must hold on to the truth which is our buckler against all these lies. Leopards are very swift beasts and we must be swift to run away from evil holding to the truth. When we do this we will be victorious in our battles.

  • #Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee. Song of Solomon 4:7

Solomon is complimenting the Shulamite Bride for her love and virginity in the marriage for there is no spot in her. This is a picture of the Lord Jesus Christ when He comes for the Church, His Bride, without spot or blemish. We have much to look forward to in the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in heaven where we will be rewarded for working in the vineyard for the Lord. So let us put off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light walking in the Spirit doing that which is right. We need everyone to go out and get vaccinated so that we can continue to provoke one another to love and good works as we see the day of Christ approaching. For we must all stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ and answer for the things done in the body good or bad. Jesus will reward us for our work in the vineyard and some will have all their works burn up in flames. He will wipe away all tears so that we will enjoy the honeymoon in the Kingdom of God on earth for a thousand years.

  • #Until the day breaks and the shadows flee away, I will get me to the mountain of myrrh and to the hill of Frankincense. Song of Solomon 4:6

This is a picture of Jesus coming in the resurrection and death will flee away, so we must flee to the mountain of myrrh and the hill of Frankincense for salvation. This is the blessed hope of the Church, the Bride of Christ that when He comes the dead in Christ will be raised, and those that are alive will be changed in a moment. Solomon is in love with his spouse the Shulamite and this is the same love that Christ has for the Church. He is coming back for a church without a spot or wrinkle. So let us love our wives as Christ loves the Church and as Solomon loves the Shulamite Bride.

  • #Thy teeth are like a flock of sheep that are even shorn, which came up from the washing; whereof every one bears twins and none is barren among them. Thy lips are like a thread of scarlet and thy speech is comely: thy temples are like a piece of a pomegranate within thy locks. Song of Solomon 4:2,3

King Solomon is madly in love with the Shulamite wife that he complements her teeth and her lips are as beautiful as scarlet. Her speech is lovely and her temples are like a piece of a pomegranate within the locks of her hair. How many marriages could be saved if husbands would complement their wives as Solomon does? Thank God that we are coming out of this pandemic and now mask-wearing is not mandatory everywhere so we can see the beautiful smiles now. I hope and pray more people will take the vaccinations so that the coronavirus pandemic will just seem like a nightmare that is long past. I am fully vaccinated and thank God I have not suffered any side effects, so I highly recommend the vaccines for they are efficacious. This will allow more people to come out of isolation and end the rampant mental illness epidemic as well.

  • #Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes within thy locks: thy hair is as a flock of goats, that appear from mount Gilead. Song of Solomon 4:1

Solomon is beholding the Shulamite and how beautiful she is, as she has doves' eyes as well as beautiful locks within her hair. Long hair is the beauty of a woman and Solomon compares her hair as a flock of goats, that appear from mount Gilead, which was a very fertile valley. Marriage is about the relationship of Christ and His church we were once marred by sin but now have been made beautiful by the grace of God. Husbands must compliment their wives so that they know that they are loved. I love watching the doves as they are graceful birds full of power with their wings and this is the power that we have in our lives when the Spirit of God comes into our lives to take control. We must not grieve the Spirit but obey his every command so that we can live fruitful Christian lives.

  • #Go forth, O ye daughters of Zion and behold king Solomon with the crown wherewith his mother crowned him in the day of his espousals, and in the day of the gladness of his heart. Song of Solomon 3:11

King Solomon is crowned by his mother, as his father David has passed on, so the honor was given to his mother and she crowned him on his wedding day when his heart was glad. This is a picture of the nation Israel being married to Jehovah God in the kingdom of God and the Lord Jesus enjoying the honeymoon with the Church for one thousand years. What a blessing this will be on the earth for the curse of sin will be broken and all creation will enjoy the kingdom of God where the lion will lay down with the lamb. There will be peace in Jerusalem and they will beat their swords into plowshares. Satan will be falling for one thousand years in the abyss unable to deceive the nations until he is released for a short period of time. The desert will blossom like a rose and they will not hurt on his holy hill in Zion.

  • #He made the pillars thereof of silver, the bottom thereof of gold, the covering of it of purple, the midst thereof being paved with love, for the daughters of Jerusalem. Song of Solomon 3:10

These pillars signify the chariot is made of silver, the bottom thereof of gold that is refined in the fiery trials of adversity, and the covering of purple which is the wardrobe of the Bride of Christ the Church. The midst thereof being paved with love since Christ loves the church and gave himself for her on the cross. All of this is for the daughters of Jerusalem to see since Israel is the Bride of Jehovah God. What a beautiful picture this is when the kingdom of God comes to the earth Israel will be wedded to Jehovah God and the Church shall be enjoying her honeymoon with the Lord Jesus Christ as He rules from Jerusalem with a rod of iron. There will be perfect peace as the Kingdom will be restored to Israel as God promised David that his seed would sit on the throne forever.
