A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

#Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusted in thee. Isaiah 26:3
In a day of imperfection here is a passage in the bible that tells us you can have perfect peace when you keep your mind on Jesus because he trusted in thee. Peace and perfection go together and time and again the bible tells us God's eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me. Psalm 101:6 Paul said in Phil. 3 that I have not attained perfection, but this one thing that I do forgetting that which is behind I press on for the mark of God, the high calling in Christ Jesus. So we can be perfect, but we must allow the Holy Spirit to sanctify us inwardly so that we can walk outwardly by the power of the Holy Spirit. So, sanctify the Lord God in your heart today and be ready to give an answer for those that ask of the hope within you.
#But Peter and John answered and said unto them, whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. Acts 4:19,20
Peter and John answered by the power of the Holy Spirit with boldness saying we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. They judged in themselves that it was better to obey God than man. So the Sanhedrin judged to threaten them, but God helped them. This is the same power that we have in the midst of this crooked and perverted generation that we are living in. May the Lord supply all your needs in Christ Jesus and may we but speak the things that we have witnessed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Fear not him that can destroy the body, but Him that can destroy the body as well as soul in the Lake of Fire. For we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus so walk in faith and victory
#And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. Acts 4:18
The Religious leaders decided to command the apostles not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. Peter and John were filled with the Holy Spirit and were given wisdom on how to answer them. Thank God for the Holy Spirit who is our comforter in times of trouble and He directs us how to preach as well as teach in the name of Jesus. For He takes the things of Jesus Christ and makes them plain to us so that we can teach all men/women what to do to be saved. So if you are being threatened not to speak in the name of Jesus, then pray to God and He will send you the comforter to console you. We must obey God when man tries to tell us not to speak in the name of Jesus. For His name is above all names and one day every knee will bow as well as every tongue shall confess that He is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
#But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name. Acts 4:17
The Sanhedrin is so afraid of the gospel spreading among the people that they speak of threatening the apostles not to speak the name of Jesus to any man. We are seeing the same threats being proliferated among those that preach the gospel today. They are saying to avoid the gospel as though it is gangrene or a virus. It is no wonder that we are living in this coronavirus pandemic today as a judgment for rejecting the gospel of Jesus Christ. As Paul said I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation to those who believe. It is my prayer that you will place your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ while there is time and receive this gospel of the grace of God. For it is by grace that we are saved through faith, and not of works lest any man should boast. We must declare the gospel freely to all men.
#But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem: and we cannot deny it. Acts 4:15,16
We are living in the days of apostasy and a pandemic of epic proportion with the Government in gridlock over the debt limit. The Federal Reserve Chairman trying to calm the stock market with tapering and just like Jerusalem the council conferred among themselves saying what shall we do with these men? We like the apostles are a light in the midst of a crooked generation looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. Only the Lord can save us just like He saved them by promising I will never leave you or forsake you: I will be with you until the end of the age. The Lord shall soon descend from heaven with a shout, the voice of the arc angel and the trumpet of God when the dead shall be raised first, then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up into the clouds to forever be with the Lord. These are the comforting words that we have in these perilous days that we are living in. Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus.
#And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.Acts 4:14
So the Sanhedrin beheld the lame man that was healed standing by the apostles were befuddled and could not say anything against them. This is the power of God for He is our Jehovah Rapha and when we have faith in Him we can be healed of our deceases as well as cleansed from our sins. May we walk in faith and victory in this pandemic as many are dying of the coronavirus pestilence. The talk of whether to get the vaccine should not be a hindrance to Christians, for God uses doctors and vaccines to heal us. We just must have faith in God as Psalm 91 tells us and trust God by taking the vaccine.
#Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. Acts 4:13
The Religious leaders had seen the boldness of Peter and John while perceiving they were unlearned and ignorant men, that is to say, they had no formal training in the ministry, yet they took knowledge that they had been with Jesus. All the seminary training cannot replace the knowledge gained with being with Jesus. We have more ministers today with Ph.D. degrees but they have not been with Jesus. This is the problem with wanting ministers to be trained well, but in actuality, they are lacking the most important of credentials, in a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. My prayer is that if anyone is contemplating a career in ministry, first make sure of your personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the primary reason for being in the ministry.
#Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12
Jesus is the only name that saves us, and no other name on earth can save us from eternal destruction in the Lake of Fire. Christianity is a monotheistic religion and the trinity is God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit three in one. Whosoever will call on the name of Jesus shall be saved. The Holy Spirit urges us to repent of our sins by turning to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world but that by faith they can be saved. So do not worry about the taper tantrum that is going on with the Federal Reserve, trust in Jesus to save your soul from eternal death. Inflation will not kill you, but sin will, and only by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ will you be saved.
#This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Acts 4:11
Peter proclaims Jesus Christ, whom they crucified and was set at nought of you builders, has become the head of the corner. He is the Chief Corner Stone that we must all fall upon, for if we do not we will all be crushed when He falls on us. What a lesson for us to learn for we who were outcasts have become the wild olive shoot engrafted into the branch. Now Jews and Gentiles that place their faith in Him are saved to the uttermost. It is my prayer that you will call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and turn from your sins to righteousness which is by faith.
#Be it known unto you all and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by Him doth this man stand before you whole. Acts 4:10
Peter tells the Sanhedrin, and all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God hath raised from the dead, even by Him does this lame man stand before you whole. It is by grace that we are saved through faith, not of works lest any man should boast. We must rely on the power of the Holy Spirit as the apostles have done in standing up for our faith, for if God be for us who can be against us? Therefore, let us walk through this world boldly believing in the Lord Jesus Christ and not doubt what God is going to do through us.
