A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

The Greek word for spirit is Pneuma meaning wind from Pneo; a current of air I.e. Breath. The ghost. John 3:8 The wind blows where it listeth and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. So it is to everyone that is born again, for we will be judged by Jesus Christ who died for us that we might have eternal life. We cannot tell where the wind blows or where it is going. Therefore, let us believe on the Lord Jesus Christ that we can be saved. So when we stand before the Lord, we will be accepted in the beloved.

The Greek word for quick is Zao meaning to live. 2 Cor. 1:8 For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above stremgth, inasmuch that we despaired even of life: Peter and Paul are using the same Greek word Zao to live and one day we will die. So we are looking to Jesus to raise us from death to life. Then we will give an account to God at the Judgment. Believers will stand before the Bema Seat and unbelievers will stand before the Great White Throne Judgment in the second resurrection. Let us so live by the Power of the Holy Spirit so we can stand before Him hearing the words "well done good and faithful" that is what we want to hear and not I never knew you depart from Me ye workers of lawlessness. May we so live that men will see our light shinning and glorify our Father in heaven.

The Greek word for riot is Asotia meaning excess, debauchery. Presumed derivative of sozo I.e. profligacy. Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess but be filled with the Spirit. Peter is telling Christians to not be surprised that the world will hate us and call us evil because we do not get inebriated with them. Jesus said they hated Me and they will hate you. So arm yourselves by being filled with the Spirit of God. It is okay to drink a little wine for medical reasons, just do not do it to excess. Moderation is the secret to living a Christ-like life.

The Greek word for abominable is Athemitos meaning lawless. From a derivative of themis; illegal, fictitious. Acts 10:28 And he said unto them, ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company or come unto one of another nation but God hath showed me that I should not call any man common or unclean. It is Yom Kippur and we celebrate the forgiveness that we have in the death of Jesus Christ on the cross for our sins. Let us put away the lawlessness we had in the flesh and walk in holiness.

The Greek word for lusts is Epithymia meaning desire. From Epithumeo; a longing. Luke 22:1 And He said unto them, with desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. Jesus desire was always good, He desired to eat the Passover with the disciples before He suffered death on the cross for our sins. He took upon Himself flesh so that He could suffer. We thank God that by His incarnation He fulfilled the will of God. Now we too must take up our cross daily, deny ourselves, and follow Him.
# And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God. 1 Sameul 30:6
The Hebrew word for encouraged is Chazaq meaning to fasten upon and conquer. King David teaches us an invaluable lesson on how to conquer our discouragement. We must focus our mind on the word of Jehovah God. It was Jehovah God who told David what to do after their wives and children were taken. That was to pursue the enemy. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto thy pathway. King David obeyed Jehovah God and with the 600 men pursued the enemy and recovered their wives and children. So always encourage yourself in the Lord by hiding His word in your heart. Then no matter what you are facing you will be victorious in the Lord.

The Greek word for flesh is Sarx likely from the base of ( as stripped of the skin) i.e. body as opposed to the soul or carnal. 1 Cor. 15:39 All flesh is not the same flesh but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beast, another of fishes, and another of birds. Jesus in His hypostatic union was 100% God and man and took upon Him the flesh of men so that He could suffer death on the cross and save mankind from sin and death. In the resurrection as we have borne the tererstrial, we will bare the celestial. So we too will cease from sin in our glorified body. We are justified by the blood of Jesus, sanctified by the Spirit, and glorified in the first Resurrection. Praise God that Jesus is the resurrection and the life; whosoever believes in Him is passed from death to life.

The Greek word for authorities is Exousia meaning power to act. From Exesti; privilege, I.e.(subjectively) force delegated by authority.1 Cor. 9:12 If others partake of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless, we have not used this power but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ. Jesus submitted to the perfect will of God and suffered death on the cross. Now He is risen and seated at the right hand of God the Father He has all authority over the devil and his demons. We are joint heirs with Christ and have been given power over the devil and must keep him under our feet. We do this so that the gospel of Christ is not hindered. So walk in faith and victory because our names are written down in the Lamb's book in heaven.

The Greek word for avenge is Ekdikeo meaning to vindicate. God has said vengeance is mine, I shall repay. All the mysterious assassinations of President John F. Kennedy and others will be uncovered. There is nothing hidden that shall not be revealed. God will use 21 judgments to purge sin from the earth. He will send two witnesses who will have fire come out of their mouths on those who try to hurt them for three and a half years. Then God will let them be killed and for three days there will be a Christmas-like giving of gifts because these men tormented the earth with their preaching then God will resurrect them and a voice from heaven will say "Come up hither" and then they will be taken to heaven. Yes God does take vengeance and He is waiting until the full number of our brethren is complete before He does. So God puts a robe on them in heaven until Jesus returns to bring peace on earth as the Prince of Peace.

The Greek word for resurrection is Anastasia meaning a standing up or a raising up. From Anistemi, standing up again, i.e. from death raised to life again. The scripture in parentheses was put there by the translators. We are saved when we are baptized by the Holy Spirit and not by water baptism. When we place our faith in the shed blood of Jesus on the cross we are saved. Just like the thief on the cross said Lord remember me when you come into your kingdom. He was baptized by the Spirit and will be in the first resurrection when Jesus comes again. This was the only deathbed conversion in the Bible. So just saying Lord be merciful to me a sinner will save you. Then in obedience to the scriptures get water baptized as an outward sign of your inner faith in Jesus Christ. Then if you die you will be in Paradise immediately with Jesus.
