A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

#If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:25
The Greek word for Spirit is Pneuma; meaning wind. From Pneo; a current of air, i.e. Breath (blast) or a breeze, by analogy or figuratively, a spirit, i.e. the rational soul, mental disposition, etc, or (superhuman) an angel, Christ's Spirit, the Holy Spirit John 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. Jesus has given us the secret to the power of the Christian life, and the Holy Spirit is that power behind our lives. That is why Jesus told the disciples to tarry in Jerusalem until they would dwell with the Spirit on high. On Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came in as a mighty rushing wind, and these 120 in the upper room were all speaking in tongues of fire. The disciples turned the world upside down preaching the gospel. This is the power in the Greek dunimus, for dynamite. May we walk in the Spirit as the disciples did on Pentecost and let the mighty rushing wind of the Spirit control our lives so that we will live a victorious life.
#And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. Galatians 5:24
The Greek word for affections is Pathema; meaning that which befalls one, a suffering and a passion. From a presumed derivative of Pathos; something has undergone. i.e. Hardship or pain, an emotion or influence. Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Paul is telling the Galations that once they have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ, they have crucified the flesh with its sufferings. For the sufferings of this present day cannot compare with the glory that shall follow us in heaven. So be of good courage and wait on the Lord. Weeping may be for the night but joy comes in the morning. When the Lord shall descend from heaven with a shout, the voice as of an arc angel, and the trumpet of God, then the dead will raise up first, then we who are alive shall be changed in a moment and caught up in the clouds, and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
I want to thank the Lord for all of you that read my Blog. It has been over eleven years of Blogging and I know all of you are not believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, but it is my prayers that you will. I have a donate button and if you have been blessed make one, but give to the local Church more. The Lord loves a cheerful giver and it is more blessed to give than to receive. Just know that God is glorified when we give to the Saints and the disabled. I have been doing the same and if you have any prayer request join in and we will pray for you. Just know it is the will of God for us to prosper and be in good health. So give to the Lord and you will be laying up treasures in heaven. May the Lord bless you richly my fellow believers in the Lord Jesus Christ.
#Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5:23
The Greek word for meekness is Praotes; which is for gentleness; The Greek word for temperance is Enkrateia; for self-control 2 Peter 1:6 And to knowledge temperance and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness these are all the nine fruits of the Spirit and we may not have all of them operating in our lives at all times but we should have most of them. Now abides by faith, hope, and love. The greatest of these is love. There is no law against such. So walk in the Spirit and you will reap all the rewards of eternal life. All those who walk in the flesh will receive damnation. Sow to the Spirit and reap life everlasting. This is the Lords Day and many will be planning for the Thanksgiving celebration, so let us thank God for seeing us through a tuff election year and remember our leaders and pray for them as they prepare to take office. Pray that the polarization that has held this nation will be removed and that those suffering from mental illness will get the help that they need, and for marriages to be restored.
#But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Galatians 5:22
The Greek word for love is Agape, for goodwill, The Greek word for joy is Chara; for delight, The Greek word for peace is Eirene; for rest, The Greek word for longsuffering is Makrothymia; for patience; The Greek word for gentleness is Chrestotes; for goodness; The Greek word for goodness; is Agathosyne; for to do good. The Greek word for faith; is Pistis; for faithfulness. Paul is telling us that when we walk in the Spirit we bear these fruits in our lives and Jesus said that we will know the tree by the fruit it bears. For an evil tree does not produce good fruit. When we walk by the Spirit our tree will show these fruits in our lives. What a blessing for hear in is the Father glorified when we bear much fruit. God is pruning us, removing the dead branches from the tree so that we bear much fruit. John 15:4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abides in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me. John 15:7 If ye abide in Me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. This is the key to answered prayers when we abide in Jesus.
#Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:21
The Greek word for revellings is Komos; meaning a village festival or rioting. From Keimai; a carousel (as if letting loose), i.e. in the Greek writings properly, a nocturnal and riotous procession of half-drunken and frolicsome fellows who after supper parade through the streets with torches and music in honor of Bacchus or some other deity and play before the houses of their male and female friends, hence used generally of feasts and drinking parties that are protracted till late at night and indulge in revelry; 1 Peter 4:3-5 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: Who shall give account to Him that is ready to judge the living and the dead. Paul and Peter warned us that those who live this way shall not inherit the kingdom of God. So touch not the unclean thing, live a holy life, for we must all appear before the judgment Seat of Christ to give an account of our lives after salvation. If you are a child of God, then you will not be happy living the way the Gentiles live. If any man is in Christ Jesus he is a new creature, old things have passed away, and all things have become new. We have been given the ministry of reconciliation, therefore be ye reconciled unto God.
#Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Galatians 5:20
The Greek word for variance is Eris; it is strife. Of uncertain affinity; a quarrel, i.e. wrangling, debate. Philippians 1:15 Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife and some also of goodwill. Paul praised God that strife and envy were the modus operandi for some preaching Christ, but he praised God that Christ was being preached. All these things are the emulations of the flesh and not the Spirit. We must crucify that flesh every day and follow the Lord Jesus Christ. Paul said I am set for the defense of the gospel. I praise God for my afflictions in the ministry, as my mental illness has hindered me, but the grace of God is sufficient. His strength is made perfect in my weaknesses. Therefore, I will glory in my weaknesses, for when I am weak the power of Christ is strong in my life.
#Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness. 5:19
The Greek word for Uncleanness: is Akatharsia. From akathartos; meaning impurity (the quality), physically or morally. Romans 1:24,25 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. Paul is warning the Galatians of the temptations of the flesh, and how it wars against the Spirit. We must walk in the spirit of man so that we do not fulfill the desires of the flesh. It is not a sin to be tempted, only if we yield to the temptation. God is faithful and He promises that He will not tempt us more than we are able to bear, who will with the temptation make a way of escape so that we can bear it. Husbands love your wives and render due benevolence unto them. For the body is not your own, but the wife's, and the wife's body is not her own but the husband's. Only come apart for a season, lest ye be tempted for your lack of self-control then by prayer and fasting, then come together again.
#But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the Law. Galatians 5:18
The Greek word for Led is Ago; meaning to bring. a primary verb; properly to lead, drive, (especially) pass, or induce 2 Peter 2:5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eight-person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing the flood upon the world of the ungodly; And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example unto those that should after live ungodly; And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked. Noah and Lot are examples of men who the Spirit led did not yield to the flesh and were delivered from the overthrow.
#For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. Galatians 5:17
The Greek word for the contrary is Antikeimai; meaning to lie opposite, oppose, and withstand. From Anti and Keimai; to lie opposite, i.e. Be adverse (figuratively, repugnant) to be an adversary. 1 Timothy 1:10,11 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust. Paul is telling the Galatians that the flesh and the Spirit are opposite and contrary to one with the other. So we must walk in the Spirit to have control over the flesh. The Law was given until the Seed should come, for it was added because of transgressions. For instance, you become a lawbreaker the moment you are knowledgeable about the law. Christ is the Seed that came from the promised son, Isaac, and Ismael is a type of the flesh that wars against the Spirit. So we must put to death the flesh every day, and feed the spirit man the Word of God so that we become stronger.
