Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. Galatians 6:8

The Greek word for corruption is Phthora; for destruction, destroy, or perish. From Phtheiro; decay, i.e. Ruin (spontaneous or inflicted, literally or figuratively) perishing. Jonah 2:7 When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple. Paul is telling the Galatians to sow to the Spirit to reap life everlasting, for whoever sows to the flesh shall perish. This is what Jonah realized when he was swallowed by the whale, and he Prayed to Jehovah and was resuscitated in the whale's belly. What a God we serve. As we celebrate the Christmas Season let us tell the story of Jesus who was born of the Virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit so that we could be born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible seed, when Jesus told us like we cannot tell from whence the wind blows, so it is of all those born of the Spirit.

  • #Be not deceived, God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Galatians 6:7

The Greek word for mocked is Mykterizo; for to turn up the nose or sneer at. From a derivative of the base of Mukaomai;(meaning snout, as that whence lowing proceeds) to make mouths at, i.e. Ridicule Proverbs 15:20 A wise son maketh a glad father, but a foolish man despiseth his mother. I thank God my father as a Pastor preached on this verse, and his mother's last dying words were "Be not deceived God is not mocked, whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap" These words are dear to me, when we think of sowing and reaping. Roman 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin condemned sin in the flesh. That is what Christmas is all about Jesus became a baby that made a mother cry tears of joy. For the Virgin Mary said behold the handmaiden of the Lord, do unto me according to thy word. Jesus took our sins on the cross and paid for them with His blood that He shed for us, and condemned sin in the flesh. Now when we sow to the Spirit, we reap life everlasting. However whosoever sows to the flesh shall reap damnation. It is my prayer that this Christmas Holiday Season you will receive Jesus Christ as your Personal Lord and Savior who will give you eternal life. God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to give them eternal life. He that has the Son has life, but he that has not the Son, is under wrath. Let us sing the hymn " Joy to the world the Lord has come"

  • #Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Galatians 6:6

The Greek word for communicate is Koinoneo; for to have a share of. From Koinonos; to share with others (objectively or subjectively) distribute or be a partaker. Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil; Praise God the Author of Hebrews tells us Jesus was a partaker in flesh and blood, so He also could Himself take part of the same through death, in order to destroy the devil that had the power of death. That is what Christmas is all about, the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Jesus became a man to teach us all things good, so that we would no longer have to fear death. Now death to a Christian is absent from the body, and present with the Lord. Likewise we must share this good news by communicating the Word of God to others in all good things. What a joy to proclaim the good news, the gospel to a lost world, that needs to hear good news. When you watch the television all you see in the news are bad reports. Jesus came to give us the best report, that though our sins were a scarlet, He has made them white as snow by the blood that He shed on the cross.

  • #For every man shall bear his own burden. Galatians 6:5

The Greek word for burden is Phortion; a diminutive of Phortos; an invoice (as part of freight), i.e. a task or service. Acts 27:10 And said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship but also our lives.Paul had been warned by the Lord that the ship would sink, but the Centurion believed his master more than Paul. We have a Master in heaven that we must believe and bear our own burdens in life. For God has promised Paul that all the souls will be saved as long as they stay on the ship. We are sailing in the ship of Zion, and Jesus is the Captain of our salvation. We must believe in Him for salvation and know that our faith is secure in Him to see us to heaven. So bear your own burden, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. God will see us through the storms of life and lead us safely to our heavenly home.

  • #But let every man prove his own work and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. Galatians 6:4

The Greek word for prove is Dokimazo; for to test, by implication to approve. From Dokimos; to allow, examine. Proverbs 8:10 Receive my instruction and not silver and knowledge rather than gold. Solomon was the wisest man to live and God gave him the wisdom to discern many things. Gold to be tested must be tried in the fire, to remove all the dross. So it is that God places us in firey trials to prove us and allow us to rejoice in the Lord. James said to count it all joy when you fall into firey trials, knowing that the trying of your faith produces patience, and then let it produce perfection, for we must all stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ to answer for the things done in the body, good or bad. Christians will be judged for their works because Jesus judged our sins on the Cross. We shall receive a reward if our work consists of gold and precious metals. However, if our works consist of wood, hay, and stubble, we will suffer loss and our works will be consumed by the fire, nevertheless we will be saved yet as by fire. Let us run this race with patience, looking to Jesus the Author and the finisher of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame and is now seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven interceding for us. For all that run the race, only one receives the prize. So play by the rules so that you may win. Paul said I run not as one beating the air, but I beat my body into subjection lest I should become a castaway. Jesus said to see that no man will steal your crown. We cannot lose our salvation, but we can lose our rewards.

  • #For if a man thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. Galatians 6:3

The Greek word for deceiveth is Phrenapatao; for to deceive the mind. From Phrenapates; to be a mind-misleader, i.e. Delude. and be self-deceiving. Titus 1:10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, especially they of the circumcision. Scammers are killing and deceiving people into buying gift cards, and impersonating Government Agencies. One has to be very careful on the Internet for they can put keylogger malware on your computer and steal your passwords. This is a problem in the information technology industry, and one must keep his Anti-virus software up to date to fight off these scammers. I have had to change my home phone number due to many scammers calling me and trying to deceive me. 2 Timothy 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. We must be on guard and put on the whole armor of God to stand against all the wiles of the devil. Paul warns the Galations not to think more highly of themselves and to learn to abound and abase. God teaches us that if we humble ourselves in the sight of the Lord He will lift us. We call those people who think too highly of themselves narcissistic, and this is a psychological dilemma of the twenty-first century. It is my prayer that you will avoid these deceivers, for the word of God tells us that the whole world lies in the hand of the devil, and he is the master deceiver. James 1:32 But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

  • #Bear ye one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

The Greek word for burden is Baros; meaning weight. Probably the same as the Basis of the notion of going down; compare Bathos) in the New Testament only figuratively, a load, abundance, authority. Acts 15:28 For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; Thank God that Jesus said my yoke is easy. Matthew 11:30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Let us learn to bear one another's burdens for the yoke is easy. Two are better than one, for if one falls the other can help him up. Oh, praise the Lord's name and thank Him for sending us the Holy Spirit to be our helper, who abides with us and comforts us when we are sad. This time of year SAD is for seasonal affective disorder, this is a mental illness that many suffer from because of the Holidays. Take your medicine from the word of God and do not worry about tomorrow, for sufficient are today's troubles. Watch the birds, for they do not sow or reap, yet our Heavenly Father provides for them. How much greater are we than they?  Keep yourselves from that wicked one who is the accuser of the brethren, let our High Priest the Lord Jesus Christ cleanse you with His blood. Thank God for Christmas because God loved us so much that He sent His Son to become a man so that He could die on the cross for all our sins. Now we are forgiven and set free from the penalty of sin, and are being sanctified by the power of the Holy Spirit, and will be glorified when Jesus comes again in the Purusia for the Church.

  • #Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault ye which are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Galatians 6:1

The Greek word for meekness is Praotes; meaning gentleness, by implication, humility. James 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which can save your souls. Paul and James use this meekness to describe the Christian life, and it enables us to correct a brother or sister who is overtaken by a fault. The word of God is profitable for correction, and instruction in righteousness so the the child of God can live a complete life. If an Elder in the Church is accused, there must be two or three eyewitnesses, and an older Elder is to seek to restore the brother in the faith. This is rarely done today, as gossip is prevalent, and gossiping about a fellow believer is a sin. As my mother always said, if you have nothing good to say, keep quiet. We must be at peace with all men as much as possible. This is a blessing when we can restore a fellow Christian, who thinks he stands should take heed, lest he falls. It is not a sin to be tempted, but God is faithful and will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear, and always makes room to escape the temptation. I have learned when counseling a wife, the husband must be present to avoid the appearance of evil. We can learn much about the Christian life when we put these scriptures into practice.

  • #And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Happy Thanksgiving!

The Greek word for cleanse is Katharizo; meaning to purge or purify. From Katharos; to make clean. Hebrews 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Jesus has just cleansed the ten lepers and only one came back to thank the Lord, and he was a Samaritan. We asked like Jesus where are the nine? How can nine lepers who the Lord Jesus has cleansed not be thankful and come back to show gratitude? This is a sad reality of today, the Pilgrims came to Plymouth Rock to celebrate the first Thanksgiving with the Indians. But the Indians were robbed off their land. Was this Christian? How can a Christian nation suffer Native Americans to be on Reservations, when they were here before the Pilgrims? Jesus made us all clean by the blood that He shed on the cross for our sins, and He has told us to take this gospel to the whole world. The Pilgrims were supposed to take the gospel to the Native Americans, but instead, they stole from them. May God have mercy and may we learn from their mistakes and do a better job of completing the Great Commission. Give thanks in everything, for this is the will of God for us in Christ Jesus. Even when people steal from us, we should give thanks. Job said naked came I into this world and naked shall I return, for the Lord gives and the Lord takes away, blessed be the name of the Lord.
