Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised that they may glory in your flesh. Galatians 6:13

The Greek word for law is Nomos; for that which is assigned, by usage. From a primary nemo (to parcel out, especially food or grazing to animals); law (through the idea of prescriptive usage) genitive case (regulation) especially (of Moses (including the volume) also of the Gospel) or figuratively a principle. Romans 3:27 Where is boasting? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay but by the law of faith. Paul is telling the Galations that faith has replaced the law, therefore there is no boasting about being circumcised to keep the law. We are saved by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that not of yourselves, but is a gift of God. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Savior. The law cannot save you, but is a mirror, showing you that your face is dirty and you need grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to get cleaned spiritually. For it does not appear what we shall be, for when He shall appear, we shall be just like Him, fashioned unto His glorious face. To  God be all the glory for what He has done through Jesus Christ.

  • #As many as desire to make a fair show in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. Galatians 6:12

The Greek word for persecution is Dioko; for to put to flight, or to pursue. A prolonged (and causative) form of the primary verb Dio ( to flee; compare the base of Deilos and Diakonos) to pursue. Luke 21:12 But, before all these they shall lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my sake. We will suffer persecution for the cause of Christ as the scriptures say all those who live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. So this Christmas put on your big boy pants and get ready to praise the Lord. For we must through many trials and tribulations enter into that blessed kingdom.

  • #Ye see how large a letter I have written unto you with mine own hand. Galatians 6:11

The Greek word for letter is Gramma; that which is drawn or written. A scripture from Grapho; a writing, i.e., a letter or note or epistle. Luke 23:38 And a superscription also was written over Him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew. "THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS" It is very important that we understand these languages to properly interpret the Bible. That is why Paul wrote such large letters so as to help the Galatians understand his eyesight, which was dim, and that is why his letters were large. These scriptures give us the power and importance of the scriptures. Let us seek to learn these languages so that we can understand the impact of Jesus dying on the Cross for the sins of the whole world. God wanted it to be in all the languages of the world. We must continue to interpret the Bible in all the languages so that the whole world came come to know Jesus Christ as their Personal Lord and Savior.

  • #As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:10

The Greek word for opportunity is Kairos; for time; Compared to Chronos; for a specific time. Matthew 2:7-10 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found Him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship Him also. When they had heard the king, they departed, and lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. Paul is telling the Galatians when the Lord gives you an opportunity to do good unto all men, especially those of the household of faith, This is the Christmas Season and many people are shopping for gifts, when the greatest gift comes wrapped in a Baby. Herod pretended to want to worship Jesus as the King of the Jews, so he sent for the wise men to find out what set time the star would appear. So Herod sent them to Bethlehem since the scribes and priest said unto him in Bethlehem of Judaea it was written by the prophet, in the land of Juda, art not least among the princes of Juda, for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel. So when they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding joy. Those who win souls for Jesus will shine as the stars. Be a star for Jesus this Christmas Season and tell someone the meaning of why we celebrate Christmas. Wise men still seek Him and the Word of God is the Star that leads us to Jesus. When the Virgin Mary heard these words she pondered them in her heart. Jesus was about two years old when the wise men found Jesus, and then the Lord told Joseph in a dream to take the Child to Egypt, for Herod wanted to kill the Child. Thank the Lord for telling the wise men not to report back to Herod. There are many people today who pretend to want to see Jesus, but only want the gifts of gold, frankincense, and Myrr. Jesus came to set us free from the bondage of sin, so let us shine as the stars of heaven telling others the good news that whosoever will believe in their hearts that He died on the cross for our sins, and was raised on the third day for our justification and call Him Lord shall be saved.

  • #And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap if we faint not. Galatians 6:9

The Greek word for weary is Ekkakeo; for faint. From Ek and Kakos; to be (bad or) weak, i.e. (by implication) to fail (in the heart) to be utterly spiritless. Colossians 3:5 Mortify, therefore, your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Paul is telling the Galatians to put to death those members on the earth, which cause us to grow weak, in well doing. For all these things the wrath of God comes upon us because of this idolatry. Every day we must put to death these sins, for which sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience, in which ye also walked some time, when ye live in them. But now ye also put off all these, anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. When we do this we will not be weary of well-doing and will complete the mission for which God has called us to be holy and righteous in all our behaviors.

  • #For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. Galatians 6:8

The Greek word for corruption is Phthora; for destruction, destroy, or perish. From Phtheiro; decay, i.e. Ruin (spontaneous or inflicted, literally or figuratively) perishing. Jonah 2:7 When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple. Paul is telling the Galatians to sow to the Spirit to reap life everlasting, for whoever sows to the flesh shall perish. This is what Jonah realized when he was swallowed by the whale, and he Prayed to Jehovah and was resuscitated in the whale's belly. What a God we serve. As we celebrate the Christmas Season let us tell the story of Jesus who was born of the Virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit so that we could be born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible seed, when Jesus told us like we cannot tell from whence the wind blows, so it is of all those born of the Spirit.

  • #Be not deceived, God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Galatians 6:7

The Greek word for mocked is Mykterizo; for to turn up the nose or sneer at. From a derivative of the base of Mukaomai;(meaning snout, as that whence lowing proceeds) to make mouths at, i.e. Ridicule Proverbs 15:20 A wise son maketh a glad father, but a foolish man despiseth his mother. I thank God my father as a Pastor preached on this verse, and his mother's last dying words were "Be not deceived God is not mocked, whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap" These words are dear to me, when we think of sowing and reaping. Roman 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin condemned sin in the flesh. That is what Christmas is all about Jesus became a baby that made a mother cry tears of joy. For the Virgin Mary said behold the handmaiden of the Lord, do unto me according to thy word. Jesus took our sins on the cross and paid for them with His blood that He shed for us, and condemned sin in the flesh. Now when we sow to the Spirit, we reap life everlasting. However whosoever sows to the flesh shall reap damnation. It is my prayer that this Christmas Holiday Season you will receive Jesus Christ as your Personal Lord and Savior who will give you eternal life. God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to give them eternal life. He that has the Son has life, but he that has not the Son, is under wrath. Let us sing the hymn " Joy to the world the Lord has come"

  • #Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Galatians 6:6

The Greek word for communicate is Koinoneo; for to have a share of. From Koinonos; to share with others (objectively or subjectively) distribute or be a partaker. Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil; Praise God the Author of Hebrews tells us Jesus was a partaker in flesh and blood, so He also could Himself take part of the same through death, in order to destroy the devil that had the power of death. That is what Christmas is all about, the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Jesus became a man to teach us all things good, so that we would no longer have to fear death. Now death to a Christian is absent from the body, and present with the Lord. Likewise we must share this good news by communicating the Word of God to others in all good things. What a joy to proclaim the good news, the gospel to a lost world, that needs to hear good news. When you watch the television all you see in the news are bad reports. Jesus came to give us the best report, that though our sins were a scarlet, He has made them white as snow by the blood that He shed on the cross.

  • #For every man shall bear his own burden. Galatians 6:5

The Greek word for burden is Phortion; a diminutive of Phortos; an invoice (as part of freight), i.e. a task or service. Acts 27:10 And said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship but also our lives.Paul had been warned by the Lord that the ship would sink, but the Centurion believed his master more than Paul. We have a Master in heaven that we must believe and bear our own burdens in life. For God has promised Paul that all the souls will be saved as long as they stay on the ship. We are sailing in the ship of Zion, and Jesus is the Captain of our salvation. We must believe in Him for salvation and know that our faith is secure in Him to see us to heaven. So bear your own burden, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. God will see us through the storms of life and lead us safely to our heavenly home.

  • #But let every man prove his own work and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. Galatians 6:4

The Greek word for prove is Dokimazo; for to test, by implication to approve. From Dokimos; to allow, examine. Proverbs 8:10 Receive my instruction and not silver and knowledge rather than gold. Solomon was the wisest man to live and God gave him the wisdom to discern many things. Gold to be tested must be tried in the fire, to remove all the dross. So it is that God places us in firey trials to prove us and allow us to rejoice in the Lord. James said to count it all joy when you fall into firey trials, knowing that the trying of your faith produces patience, and then let it produce perfection, for we must all stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ to answer for the things done in the body, good or bad. Christians will be judged for their works because Jesus judged our sins on the Cross. We shall receive a reward if our work consists of gold and precious metals. However, if our works consist of wood, hay, and stubble, we will suffer loss and our works will be consumed by the fire, nevertheless we will be saved yet as by fire. Let us run this race with patience, looking to Jesus the Author and the finisher of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame and is now seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven interceding for us. For all that run the race, only one receives the prize. So play by the rules so that you may win. Paul said I run not as one beating the air, but I beat my body into subjection lest I should become a castaway. Jesus said to see that no man will steal your crown. We cannot lose our salvation, but we can lose our rewards.
