Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young thou girdedst thyself and walkedst whither thou wouldest, but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not. John 21:18

The Greek word for girdedst is Zonnymi; for to gird. From Zone; for to bind about (especially with a belt) this is the aorist middle imperative Acts 12:8 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind thy sandals, And so he did. And he said unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me. Peter was tired and wanted the Lord to know how much he loved Him. So Jesus tells the story of his youth how he could gird himself by the belt and go wherever he pleased, but that when he would become an old man, others would gird him and take him where he would not want to go. Jesus is telling Peter how much he loved Him and that Peter would lay down his life for the Lord. The angel had rescued Peter from prison because of the prayers were made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. Now God wills that Peter will not be released, but that he would glorify the Lord in his death as he had said. Jesus told us no greater love than a man should have for another, than to lay down his life for his friends. We show our love for the Lord when we take up our cross, deny ourselves, and follow Jesus. That is what Peter did, and we too can do that. So as we prepare to celebrate Valentine's Day, let us show our love for the Lord Jesus Christ every day by loving others, even our enemies. Love believes all things, bears all things, is not jealous, delights not in wrongs, but rejoices in the truth. Love never fails, Now abides Faith, Hope, and Love, but the greatest of these three is Love.

  • #Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit and ye are clean, but not all. John 13:10

The Greek word for whit is Holos; for whole, and complete. A primary word whole or all i.e. Complete (in extent, amount time or degree) altogether, throughout. Titus 1:11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. Jesus washed all the disciples feet and told them they were clean altogether, except one. No one knew who the one Jesus was talking about, but we know it was Judas Iscariot. Jesus had told them Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil. Paul is warning Titus about wolves in sheeps clothing who teach things they ought not to teach, but do it for the sake of making money. Judas Iscariot was the keeper of the money bag, and was not clean. He would sell the Lord Jesus for thirty pieces of silver, which was the price of a slave. What love Jesus has in that he washed Judas Iscariot's feet, knowing all the evil that he was going to do. So you ask why Peter's deniel of the Lord was not as bad as Judas Iscariot's betraying the Lord? The answer is Peter repented of his sin when the Lord asked him lovest thou Me more than these? Peter answered yay Lord in the Greek for Phileo which is friendship. Jesus wanted him to answer in Agape for unconditional love. This is the love that God has for us. Judas Iscariot loved money and not the Lord, but after Jesus was cruxcified, he felt guilty and hung himself, and did not repent. Jesus gave him a chance to repent, when He said wherefore comest thou friend? True repentance is a change of mind, and you must change your life differently. The question is asked does that mean everyone who commits suicide as Judas Iscariot did is lost? There is such a thing as clinical depression, and if you are suffering from that you should see a mental health professional to get help for this condition so that you will not do something erriversable such as suicide. A true Christian will not commit suicide, but a mentally ill person will, and I do not believe this is the unpardonable sin. So call 988 if you are depressed and get the help, for just as the body gets sick, the mind does also. I have had periods of depression in my life, and I got the help that I needed. Do not let the stigma of mental illness keep you from seeking help. Psalm 42 is a great Psalm to meditate on if you are depressed. That does not replace the medication that doctors can prescribe for your chemical imbalance in the brain that is causing your depression. The Church has been silent on this issue, and forget that many Christians get depressed, and it is not a sin to be depressed. Jonah, and Elijah were depressed and wanted to die, and God healed them. So prayer and medication on the word of God is important, as well as diet and exercise. Get eight hours of sleep, because much of depression comes from not sleeping properly.

  • #And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? Revelation 6:9,10

The Greek word for testimony is Martyria; from Martus; for evidence given (judicially or genitive case) record, report, witness. Revelation 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit, shall make war against them, and shall overcome them and kill them. We have an appointment once to die, and after that the judgment. God has some of us for the testimony of Jesus to die as Martyrs for such will happen to the two witnesses in Revelation 11:7 fire will come from their mouths, and they will preach the everlasting gospel for three and one-half years, then God will allow the beast out of the bottomless pit to kill them, and the world will be rejoicing and giving presents to each other for three days, and then God will resurrect them and rapture them to heaven. For others who will be killed after the fifth seal is opened, their souls will be crying out O Lord holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season until their fellow servants also and their brethren that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. We do not know who those two witnesses will be, but we know that the first martyr of the Church was Stephen. But he being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God. God has the mystery of the Rapture of the Church, when we shall not all die, but will be changed in a moment in the twinkling of an eye at the last trump, the Lord will descend from heaven and call "come up hither" and all in the grave will awake in their glorified bodies and we who are alive and remain shall be changed and caught up in the clouds to forever be with the Lord. So wait until we all get to heaven and we will understand it better bye and bye when the morning comes. For weeping may be for the night, but joy comes in the morning.

  • #The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. Psalms 34:17

The Hebrew word for cry is Tsaaq; for to cry out, to so shriek, to proclaim. Lamentations 2:18 Their heart cried unto the Lord, O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night: give thyself no rest; let not the apple of thine eyes cease. The Lord God loves Israel the apple of His eyes, and He heard their cries in slavery, and raised up Moses, to let my people go. I thank God that He heard my cry when I was lost in sin and sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ to die on the cross for my sins. God commended His love toward us while we were dead in trespasses Christ died on the cross for us. Scarcely for a righteous man will one die, but Jesus loved us enough to die for sinners like you and me. Oh, what love that we can cry above for a God like Him and be rescued from all of our troubles. The LORD is nigh unto them of a broken heart and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. We must call upon Him in the midnight hour and sing praises to His name as Paul and Silas did, God sent a great earthquake to break the prison doors open, and they were able to preach the gospel to the prison guard who asked sirs, what must I do to be saved? and they said believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved and thine house. There is no problem He cannot solve, no temptation He cannot deliver us from. What a mighty God we serve, and let us bow down and worship Him because He alone is worthy of our praise.

  • #For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous, lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity. Psalms 125:3

The Hebrew word for lot is Gowral or goral; for a portion or destiny. What a verse for if you want to have a destiny, then keep this verse with all diligence. We see the Prophet Jonah who thought he could get away from the will of God and not preach to Nineveh, but God had a great fish to swallow him. The sailors casts lots to see what evil had come upon them to cause this great storm to come on the ship, and the lot landed on Jonah. God knows how I shall take, said Job, and when I am come forth, I shall be pure gold. We must be tried in the fiery trials of life to be purified of all our sins. I have always thought of this verse when I am tempted knowing that God is watching over the righteous, and He will not allow us to be tempted more than we can bear, who will with the temptation provide a way to escape. Joshua 18:6 Ye shall therefore describe the land into seven parts, and bring the description hither to me, that I may cast lots for you here before the LORD our God. Even in inheritance, God provided a destiny for us to receive our inheritance. We must not argue with God when He gives us our portion. Jesus told us to beware of coveteousness, for a man's life does not consists in the abundance of the things he possesses. God gives us what we need and we must give thanks in all things for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning us. So the next time you appear before the reading of a will, trust God has destined your portion and settle it in your heart to give thanks to the Lord.

  • #Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved. Acts 27:31

The Greek word for centurion is Hekatontarches; meaning a captain of one hundred men. Paul has been warned by an angel that except for these 276 souls abide on the ship, ye cannot be saved. Jesus had told Paul in a vision that he was to preach the gospel in Rome, so Paul was assured that it was he would make it safely just as he preached to King Aggripa, and he was almost persuaded to become a Christian. What a testimony, for the only way we can be saved, is to altogether believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. This teaches us that we are sailing on the ship of Zion, and this ship is going through some rough waters, but we will be saved as long as we keep our eyes on Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. I thank God for all the trials I have come through and the Lord has been with me every step. Matthew 27:54 Now when the centurion and they that were with Him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God. Jesus would not come down from the cross, He decided to stay there for you and me. So we must refuse to leave the ship of Zion, and wait on the Lord for our salvation. I do not know what tomorrow brings, but I know who holds all my days in His hands. I thank God that Jesus will see us through every trial that He allows us to go through. Just like the disciples were in the boat and a great storm came upon them, and they said Master carest not that we perish? Jesus said peace be still, and the winds abated and the water was calm. This is the same Lord who will save us in this ship of Zion, so be not dismayed, God will take care of you, no matter what happens stay in the ship and you will be saved.

  • #Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 1 Corinthians 3:13

The Greek word for fire is Pur; for fiery. Isaiah 29:6 Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder and with earthquake and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire. Our God is a consuming fire and He will judge our works by fire. For we must all stand before the Bema seat, to account for our works. Which will consist of Gold, Silver, and precious stones, when the fire hits them they shall remain and we will receive a reward. However some will consist of wood, hay, and stubble, and the fire shall consume them, and ye will suffer loss, but will be saved yet as by fire. God is not judging our salvation, cause Jesus paid for that on the cross. Therefore, let us work while it is day, for no man will be able to work when the night comes. Let whatever we do be for the glory of God, for Christ must be glorified in all things. Jesus is coming to get us ready for that great day, and who shall be able to stand? We must be clothed in the righteousness of Christ which are the works of the saints. Therefore, be ye filled with the Spirit and not drunk with wine, where is excess. It is my prayer that you will use the daylight to examine your works, to see whether they are good.

  • #But when ye shall see the abomination  of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (Let him that readeth understand) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains: Mark 13:14

The Greek word for abomination is Bdelygma; for a detestable thing. From Bdelusso, i.e. (especially) idolatry. Revelation 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: This passage in Mark is the Mount Olivet Discourse found in the synoptic gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. When the disciples asked our Lord what would be the sign of thy coming, and the end of the age, Jesus told them about Daniel in chapter 8 told of the idle shepherd, who is the anti-Christ who would make a sacrifice and erect an image of the beast and cause all the world to worship him as god. There would be the apostate church, which is a woman riding on a scarlet color and purple, decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having the golden cup in hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornications with all those who will receive the mark of the beast 666 and worship the image of the beast. The antichrist will destroy her and all those who receive the mark of the beast 666. Jesus warned all those in Judaea to flee to the mountains, likely Petra, to escape for this will be the great tribulation. Jesus will destroy the Antichrist and the False Prophet with the brightness of His coming and set up His millennium kingdom on earth

  • #And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy of taking the book, and to open the  seals thereof: for thou, wast slain and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; Revelation 5:9

The Greek word for slain is Sphazo; for to butcher an animal for food. to kill, slay, and wound. This is the DEI gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, for He is the Lamb of God worthy to take the book, which is the title deed to this world from Satan, for He was slain before the foundations of this world, as the spotless Lamb without blemish, so that He could redeem us from every tribe and people so that we could sing the Hallelujah chorus in heaven. What a day that will be in heaven all races and nationalities will be there Since there will be no segregation in heaven, we had better learn to live as brothers and sisters of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ now.

  • #Wherefore the rather, brethren give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things ye shall never fall: 2 Peter 1:10

The Greek word for diligence is Spoudazo; for to use, speed, i.e. to make an effort to be prompt or earnest. Peter knows about falling and he is cautioning us to the dangers of falling from grace if we do not practice all of these virtues. The Lord told Peter that before the cock shall crow, he would deny me thrice. Peter never forgot that and wept bitterly when he did it. Therefore we must make every effort to make our calling and election sure. It is great to never fall into sin and to live a holy life. For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Wherefore Peter would not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them and be established in the present truth. When Pontious Pilot asked Jesus what truth is, Jesus told him I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man comes to the Father except by Me. We must put these words into remembrance always knowing that we can forget to do these things. My prayer for you all is to know the truth, by studying your Bible every day, not just on the Lord's Day
