A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

#For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous, lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity. Psalms 125:3
The Hebrew word for lot is Gowral or goral; for a portion or destiny. What a verse for if you want to have a destiny, then keep this verse with all diligence. We see the Prophet Jonah who thought he could get away from the will of God and not preach to Nineveh, but God had a great fish to swallow him. The sailors casts lots to see what evil had come upon them to cause this great storm to come on the ship, and the lot landed on Jonah. God knows how I shall take, said Job, and when I am come forth, I shall be pure gold. We must be tried in the fiery trials of life to be purified of all our sins. I have always thought of this verse when I am tempted knowing that God is watching over the righteous, and He will not allow us to be tempted more than we can bear, who will with the temptation provide a way to escape. Joshua 18:6 Ye shall therefore describe the land into seven parts, and bring the description hither to me, that I may cast lots for you here before the LORD our God. Even in inheritance, God provided a destiny for us to receive our inheritance. We must not argue with God when He gives us our portion. Jesus told us to beware of coveteousness, for a man's life does not consists in the abundance of the things he possesses. God gives us what we need and we must give thanks in all things for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning us. So the next time you appear before the reading of a will, trust God has destined your portion and settle it in your heart to give thanks to the Lord.
#Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved. Acts 27:31
The Greek word for centurion is Hekatontarches; meaning a captain of one hundred men. Paul has been warned by an angel that except for these 276 souls abide on the ship, ye cannot be saved. Jesus had told Paul in a vision that he was to preach the gospel in Rome, so Paul was assured that it was he would make it safely just as he preached to King Aggripa, and he was almost persuaded to become a Christian. What a testimony, for the only way we can be saved, is to altogether believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. This teaches us that we are sailing on the ship of Zion, and this ship is going through some rough waters, but we will be saved as long as we keep our eyes on Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. I thank God for all the trials I have come through and the Lord has been with me every step. Matthew 27:54 Now when the centurion and they that were with Him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God. Jesus would not come down from the cross, He decided to stay there for you and me. So we must refuse to leave the ship of Zion, and wait on the Lord for our salvation. I do not know what tomorrow brings, but I know who holds all my days in His hands. I thank God that Jesus will see us through every trial that He allows us to go through. Just like the disciples were in the boat and a great storm came upon them, and they said Master carest not that we perish? Jesus said peace be still, and the winds abated and the water was calm. This is the same Lord who will save us in this ship of Zion, so be not dismayed, God will take care of you, no matter what happens stay in the ship and you will be saved.
#Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 1 Corinthians 3:13
The Greek word for fire is Pur; for fiery. Isaiah 29:6 Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder and with earthquake and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire. Our God is a consuming fire and He will judge our works by fire. For we must all stand before the Bema seat, to account for our works. Which will consist of Gold, Silver, and precious stones, when the fire hits them they shall remain and we will receive a reward. However some will consist of wood, hay, and stubble, and the fire shall consume them, and ye will suffer loss, but will be saved yet as by fire. God is not judging our salvation, cause Jesus paid for that on the cross. Therefore, let us work while it is day, for no man will be able to work when the night comes. Let whatever we do be for the glory of God, for Christ must be glorified in all things. Jesus is coming to get us ready for that great day, and who shall be able to stand? We must be clothed in the righteousness of Christ which are the works of the saints. Therefore, be ye filled with the Spirit and not drunk with wine, where is excess. It is my prayer that you will use the daylight to examine your works, to see whether they are good.
#But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (Let him that readeth understand) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains: Mark 13:14
The Greek word for abomination is Bdelygma; for a detestable thing. From Bdelusso, i.e. (especially) idolatry. Revelation 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: This passage in Mark is the Mount Olivet Discourse found in the synoptic gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. When the disciples asked our Lord what would be the sign of thy coming, and the end of the age, Jesus told them about Daniel in chapter 8 told of the idle shepherd, who is the anti-Christ who would make a sacrifice and erect an image of the beast and cause all the world to worship him as god. There would be the apostate church, which is a woman riding on a scarlet color and purple, decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having the golden cup in hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornications with all those who will receive the mark of the beast 666 and worship the image of the beast. The antichrist will destroy her and all those who receive the mark of the beast 666. Jesus warned all those in Judaea to flee to the mountains, likely Petra, to escape for this will be the great tribulation. Jesus will destroy the Antichrist and the False Prophet with the brightness of His coming and set up His millennium kingdom on earth
#And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy of taking the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou, wast slain and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; Revelation 5:9
The Greek word for slain is Sphazo; for to butcher an animal for food. to kill, slay, and wound. This is the DEI gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, for He is the Lamb of God worthy to take the book, which is the title deed to this world from Satan, for He was slain before the foundations of this world, as the spotless Lamb without blemish, so that He could redeem us from every tribe and people so that we could sing the Hallelujah chorus in heaven. What a day that will be in heaven all races and nationalities will be there Since there will be no segregation in heaven, we had better learn to live as brothers and sisters of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ now.
#Wherefore the rather, brethren give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things ye shall never fall: 2 Peter 1:10
The Greek word for diligence is Spoudazo; for to use, speed, i.e. to make an effort to be prompt or earnest. Peter knows about falling and he is cautioning us to the dangers of falling from grace if we do not practice all of these virtues. The Lord told Peter that before the cock shall crow, he would deny me thrice. Peter never forgot that and wept bitterly when he did it. Therefore we must make every effort to make our calling and election sure. It is great to never fall into sin and to live a holy life. For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Wherefore Peter would not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them and be established in the present truth. When Pontious Pilot asked Jesus what truth is, Jesus told him I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man comes to the Father except by Me. We must put these words into remembrance always knowing that we can forget to do these things. My prayer for you all is to know the truth, by studying your Bible every day, not just on the Lord's Day
#Then Simon Peter answered Him, Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life. John 6:68
The Greek word for Lord is Kurios; for supreme in authority and Master. Peter knew only the Lord Jesus Christ can give us eternal life. This world is passing away and the lust thereof, but whosoever will do the will of God shall abide forever. People are searching for eternal life in this world and seeking after money and fame. All of these things are passing away. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. Turn away from evil and speak the truth to your neighbor. Peter knows about how failure to speak the truth will chastise you. Jesus told Peter that Satan had demanded permission to sift you as wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith will fail not, and when you are converted, strengthen your brethren. That is what Peter did by calling us to live a holy and godly life. 2 Peter 1;3,4 According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. When we submit to God and resist the devil he will flee from us. Then we can use the virtues that God has given us to overcome lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things be in you and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. So praise God for this truth, for Jesus said if you abide in my commands ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.
#Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. Ecclesiastes 8:11
The Hebrew word for sentence is Pithgam; for judicial decree. Indeed the wheels of justice move slowly, but they do, and this is the reason that evil men committ evil, knowing that it will be a long time before they are brought to justice. Though a sinner do evil a hundred times and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before Him: But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God. God has appointed a day that the world will be judged by the man Christ Jesus. So the beginning of the fear of the Lord is the beginning for wisdom. There is a vanity which is done upon the earth; that there is a just man, unto whom it happeneth according to the work of the wicked; again there be wicked men, to whom it happeneth according to the work of the righteous: I said that this also is vanity. Every body gets what is coming to them, for God is not mocked, what so ever a man sows, that shall he also reap. Therefore, fear God, and depart from evil for God shall bring every work into judgment, whether it be a secret thing. Psalm 73:1-18 (A Psalm of Asaph) Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart. But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped, For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm. They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men. Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment. Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish. They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily. They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth. Therefore his people return hither and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them. And they say how doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High? Behold these are the ungodly who prosper in the world; they increase in riches. Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain and washed my hands in innocency. For all the day long have I been plagued and chastened every morning. If I say I will speak thus; behold I should offend agaist the generation of thy children. When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me: Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end. Surely God didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction. So we must dwell in the sanctuary of God for there are pleasures at the right hand of the Father for evermore.
#According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Phillippians 1:20,21
The Greek word for ashamed is Aischunomai; for to feel shame from Aischos; disfigurement, i.e. disgrace. We are going to study two people, one who did not have to feel disfigurement or disgrace, and one who did. Deuteronomy 18:10 There shall not be found among you anyone that maketh his son, or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. Saul the first king of Israel was head and shoulders above all else and the Spirit of God came upon him. But Samuel gave Saul the command to destroy Agag, the Amalekite, and Saul spared the disfigured sheep instead. Samuel asked what this cry of the sheep was. Then Saul said he was going to save them by sacrificing to the Lord. But Samuel said to obey, is better than sacrifice. The kingdom will be departed from you and given to your neighbor. So Samuel died, and God no longer spoke to Saul, so he sought out the witch of Endor, and she called up Samuel from the dead. This violated the command of God. Just as it was told Saul died in battle with his son Jonathon, what a shame, and disfigurement this was for Saul Now we See Paul the one saved on the Damascus road was saved by the Lord, and he was in prison for preaching the gospel, and he was happy that others were preaching the gospel, but some out of envy, and some of the goodwill. Nevertheless, Paul was thankful that Christ was being preached, and his mission was that in nothing he would be ashamed but that Christ would be magnified in his body, whether by life or by death. For he knew to live is Christ, and to die gain. Yet Paul was caught between two opinions, for to be with Christ was far better, and yet it was needful for him to preach the gospel. We often face difficult decisions in life while serving the Lord, the most important decision we can make is to obey God in all things, and not try to make sacrifices as Saul did. My brothers and sisters live for the glory of God, and when the time comes, die to the glory of God, and you will have nothing to be ashamed of. 1 Samuel 28:7 Then said Saul unto his servants, seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said unto him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor. This is what makes you ashamed, and not happy as a servant of God. Only go to the only one who has been dead, and is alive forevermore. Revelation 1:18 I am He that lives and was dead and behold, I am alive forevermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and death. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, no man comes to the Father but by Him. Go to Jesus and you will never be ashamed, and He will give you eternal life. So be like Paul and not Saul, and Christ will be magnified in your body by life and by death.
#Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Roman 6:11
The Greek word for reckon is Logizomai; for to consider. Esteem, suppose and think on. Paul is telling us that since we died with the Lord Jesus in baptism, and are raised with Him in new life, we must consider ourselves dead to sin, By the power of the Holy Spirit we must mortify our members on the earth, such as fornication, drunkenness, and be not drunk with wine but be filled with the Spirit. When we do this we can live the Christian life with all fullness and joy. For the joy of the Lord is our strength. We must love the brethren and sisters in Christ with holy love. 1 Corinthians 13:5 Love doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, rejoiceth not in iniquity but rejoiceth in the truth; beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things, Love never fails. This is the type of life that we live when we are dead to sin, and alive to the Lord Jesus Christ.
