A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

#If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. John 13:14 Happy foot washing Day
The Greek word for Master is Didaskalos; for a teacher, a doctor, an instructor. Jesus taught His disciples many things and this is the most humble thing He taught them. For He knew who should betray Him; therefore said He, Ye are not all clean, speaking of Judas Iscariot, So after he had washed their feet, and taken His garments, and was set down again, He said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? Ye call me Master and Lord, and ye say well; for so I am. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither He that is sent greater than He that sent Him. If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them. Happy foot washing Day, as our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has taught us how to humble ourselves as a slave and serve one another by washing their feet. He even washed the feet of the one who would betray Him. This teaches us not to discriminate against any one, even our fake brothers and sisters. Is there someone in your life who needs their feet washed? Then Jesus has told us that He as our doctor and instructor has done it, then so should we to one another. There are many hurting people today, with The cuts in the federal workforce, and many are finding themselves homeless, and looking for another job. Go out and find that one and wash their feet, and be a friend to the friendless. Love on the homeless, for Jesus said when you have done this unto the less of them, you have done it unto Me. What a joy it will be when we get to heaven and see all the people who accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Master all because we were faithful to wash their feet. May the Lord teach you how to humble yourself and do unto others as you would have them to do unto you. Peter did not want the Lord to wash his feet, and Jesus said he that is washed, need only his feet cleaned. It is telling us that in a dirty world that we have to walk in, our feet will get dirty, and we need a foot washing time so that we can be restored in the faith. Jesus is about to go to the cross, and this is His last act of kindness that He will do to them. We will be well advised to do the same, for we do not know when the Lord shall come again, or call us home. So let us have a Happy foot washing Day to commemorate all that the Lord has done for us.
#Moreover, the law entered, that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: Romans 5:20
The Greek word for abounded is Pleonazo; for to do, make, or be more, i.e., increase. To superabound, or make to increase. For if by one man's offense death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. Therefore, as by the offense of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ. For what the law could not do for us, Jesus fulfilled on the cross. For the just shall live by faith. And he that comes to God must believe that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. As in Adam all have been made to sin, so in the last Adam, the Lord Jesus Christ, many are made righteous by faith. The law was our school master to take us to Christ by revealing our sin. Thank God Jesus fulfilled the law and became our mediator of the New Covenant, which was shed in His blood. This is why we have life in His name. For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sin. That is why the Lord Jesus cried out Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not My will, but thine be done. Jesus humbled Himself to death on the cross, so that by grace we are saved through faith, and not of works, lest any man should boast. Therefore, let us go outside the camp bearing the suffering of Christ, for He died once for our sins, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven, interceding for us. Shall we continue to sin? God forbid, I am crucified with Christ, therefore I no longer live, but this life that I live is by faith in the Son of God who loved me, and gave Himself for me. I pray that you will accept this gift of God, in Jesus Christ, and be reconciled to God.
#And the Pharisees came to Him, and asked Him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting Him. Mark 10:2
The Greek word for Lawful is Exesti; for impersonally, it is right through the figurative idea of being out in public. The Pharisees are tempting Jesus to see what is right to put away one's wife. And He answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you? And they said Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement and to put her away. And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. God hates divorce and there are only two grounds for divorce: Adultery and abandonment. The Greek word for tempting is Peirazo; for to test, assay, examine, or go about to prove. Thou shalt not tempt the Lord God, as the Pharisees are doing. God has said what therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder. Marriage is honorable in all and the bed undefiled, but adulterers and fornicators shall be judged. As we prepare to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord, let us resurrect our marriages. Husbands love your wives, as Christ hast loved the Church, Wives respect your husbands and submit to one another in the fear of the Lord. This is how we resurrect our marriages and will be rewarded in heaven for being faithful and true to our vows. It is not easy to keep your wedding vows, but in keeping them there is great reward. 2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye, not your own selves, How that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? Jesus has taught us what marriage is all about and how a man is to leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. This is how we prove that we are not reprobates, but are following the commands of the Lord. It is my prayer that everyone reading this blog will seek to do the Lord's will and be true to your marriage and the Lord will bless you. For in heaven, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but they are like angels. So enjoy your spouse here and now, for you will be friends forever in heaven.
#Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 2 Timothy 3:5 Beware of the ungodly
Happy Holy Week as we are on a journey to celebrate the passion of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Greek word for Form; is Morphosis; for formation and appearance. For of this sort are they which creep into houses and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts. Ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the truth. Beware of the ungodly, Jesus has just made His triumphant entry into Jerusalem, and He will be crucified on Good Friday for our sins. False people surround us and must beware of the ungodly, who seem to have a form of godliness, but deny the power. Paul tells us to turn away from such things. We are living in the last days before the second coming of Christ, and the scriptures tell us that perilous times shall come, for men will be lovers of themselves, ungodly, unholy, covenant. breakers. Yet the most difficult are the ones having a form of godliness. We are attracted to people like this, who will celebrate Holy Week and appear to be godly, but inwardly they are corrupt and covetous. Paul said they will deny the power, seeing they are pretending to serve the Lord, and from such we must turn away, lest we learn their ways. For they resist the truth and creep into houses and lead astray silly women laden with sins away with diverse lusts. Ye have not so learned Jesus Christ for He taught us how to live and to keep ourselves from the corruption of this world. Jesus told us that if we are to be His disciples, we must deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow Him. Beware of the ungodly for their form is deceiving, but they lack the power to live this consecrated life. Jesus said if the world hated Me, they would hate you. So be on guard and sanctify the Lord in your hearts, and turn away from those who lack the power indwelling you by the Holy Spirit. Jesus said when I go, I will not leave you as orphans, but not many days ye shall be filled with power. Thank God for this power from above that allows us to live a godly life and live by the Sermon on the Mount. We must judge not, but we can be a fruit inspector. Jesus said we will know them by their fruits. So when you do not see the fruit of self-control in their lives, then turn away from them and Beware of the ungodly.
#Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto Me. Matthew 21:2 Jesus rides humbly on an ass into Jerusalem
The Greek word for Ass is Anos; for a donkey. We do not use that nomenclature in today's verbiage, but Jesus rides humbly on an ass into Jerusalem. And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem and were come to Bethphage, unto the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, and if any man ought unto you, ye shall say The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them. All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, the King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass. Jesus left the Ivory Palaces in Heaven to come to this earth to become a man, and as the Prophet said, behold thy King cometh unto thee meek and sitting upon an ass, the colt the foal of an ass. We know that Israel wanted Jesus to come in Pomp and take care of Rome and set up His Kingdom, but when they saw Him so meek and lowly riding an ass into Jerusalem, instead of taking over they would five days be shouting crucify Him, for we have no King but Caesar. Happy Palm Sunday for the Lord Jesus taught us that meekness is not weakness, but strength under control. The children would shout out Hosanna in the Highest!!! Then the money changers would be selling doves in the temple, and when Jesus saw it, He said my house should be called a house of prayer, but you have turned it into a den of robbers. Then Jesus overturned the tables. We need to open our mouths and praise the Lord for if we do not cry out, the very rocks will. This Palm Sunday let Jesus into your heart as your personal Savior for He is now seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven making intersession for you and me. Oh praise His name with me today
#Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labor and fellow soldier, but your messenger and he ministered to my wants. Philippians 2:25 Remember those who labor in the Lord
The Greek word for messenger is Apostolos, which means delegate, ambassador of the gospel, and commissioner of Christ. We must remember those who labor in the Lord, such as Epaphroditus who was nigh unto death. Paul called him my brother and companion in labor. Jesus told us we must do His works while it is day, for when the night comes no man can work. I thank God for all those who have come before us, teaching us how to labor in the Lord. For indeed he was sick nigh unto death, but God had mercy on him; and not him only but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow. I sent him therefore the more carefully, that when ye see him again, ye may rejoice and that I may be less sorrowful. Paul was touched by the labor of love of Epaphroditus and we too should be touched. For God would not have us ignorant of those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an arc-angel and the dead in Christ shall be raised first, then we who are alive and remain will be changed in the twinkling of an eye and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Let us comfort one another with these words knowing that God has a body for us waiting in heaven for us when we pass on. So let us remember those who labor in the Lord, for our labor is not in vain even though we may be nigh unto death. Jesus will reward us when He comes in the clouds to receive us in the air, so let us rejoice and be less sorrowful.
#Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame. Song of Solomon 8:6 A warning about jealousy
The Hebrew word for love is Ahab, which means affectionate. Many waters cannot quench love, and neither can the floods drown it. If a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would be utterly condemned. Love in Hebrew is different from love in Greek, which is Agape, which means unconditional concern for one. A warning about jealousy is that it is as cruel as the grave. All that goes down there cannot speak of love. God loves us with everlasting love, and He sent His Son to die on the cross for our sins. Jesus is the only one to come back from the grave, and He is at the right hand of the Father in heaven interceding for us. God is a jealous God and thou shalt not have any other gods before Him. Today the love of money is the root of all evil, and no one can serve God and mammon. Repent of this idolatry, before you die in your sins and go to the grave. God will forgive your sins, and restore you to fellowship. For we must all stand before the judgment of almighty God to give an account for our lives. The books will be opened, and all those whose names that are not written in the Lamb's book of life, will be cast into the lake of fire. A warning about jealousy is God will not share you with the devil. So forsake the devil and his deeds and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your Personal Savior. Then you will enter into the joy and love of heaven where there are pleasures forevermore at the right hand of the Father.
#He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stock; Proverbs 7:22
The Hebrew word for stock is Ekec; for a fetter, or an anklet, from tinkling ornament. Keep thy heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life. This young man is being flattered by an adulterous woman. For the goodman is not home, he is gone a long journey; He hath taken a bag of money with him and will come home at the day appointed. With her much fair speech, she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him. Till a dart strikes through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life. Hearken unto me now, therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth. Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths. Sampson was caught up in this trap by Delilah and gave her the secret of his power in his hair. Then when he was asleep cut off all his hair. Then when He arose in the morning he did not know his strength was gone. We must keep our hearts with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life. God has promised never to tempt us beyond what we can bear and will make a way to escape the temptation. James said to count it all joy, when you fall into divers trials and temptations, knowing that the trial of your faith leads to patience. Let no man who is tempted say God is tempting him, for God does not tempt us with evil, but tries us with good. Every man is tempted when he is drawn away from his lust, and when lust is conceived it brings forth sin, and when sin is finished it yields death. King David was tempted when he saw Bathsheba bathing on the rooftop and called her and committed adultery with her. Then she was pregnant with a child, and David tried to get Uriah to sleep with his wife but he refused and instead got drunk, so David put him in the heat of warfare and was killed, then David took Bathsheba to be his wife. So God sent Nathan the prophet to warn David by telling him a parable of the rich man taking the poor man's lamb, and David was angry, then Nathan said thou art the man. He told David the sword would not leave his household. Many have succumbed to adultery, and there was one woman caught in adultery and brought to Jesus. So Jesus wrote in the sand, and the scripture does not tell us what He wrote, but then Jesus said let he that is without sin, cast the first stone. Then all those who were accusing her walked away. Jesus asked the woman where are thine accusers? She answered no one. Jesus said neither do I accuse thee, go and sin no more. We see that if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. It is my prayer that you will keep thy heart with all diligence and beware of the adulterous woman and lust not after her beauty. Trust in the Lord with all thy heart, and lean not unto thine understanding, but in all thy ways acknowledge Him and God will direct your pathway. So do not be an ox going for the slaughter. Instead, do what Joseph did by running out of the house leaving his garment. God will reward all those who are victorious over temptation with the crown of life.
#And He came and touched the bier and they that bare him stood still. And He said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. Luke 7:14
The Greek word for bier; is Soros; for a funeral receptacle (urn, coffin) And it came to pass the day after, that He went into a city called Nain and many of His disciples went with Him, and much people. Now when He came nigh to the gate of the city, behold there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow; and much people of the city was with her. And when the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. And after Jesus touched the bier, he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And He delivered him to his mother. And there came fear on all, and they glorified God, saying that a great Prophet had risen among us and that God had visited His people. And this rumor of Him went forth throughout all Judaea, and throughout all the region round about. This was the first person Jesus had raised from the dead, and the people marveled that a great Prophet had risen among us. Jesus occupied three offices; Prophet, Priest, and King. Under the power of God Jesus did all things to please the Father and the Holy Spirit. As we approach Holy week let us tell others that Jesus is still healing the sick, and will raise the dead when He comes in the first resurrection. It is time that we set our house in order and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. Put away idols and walk in peace with all men, seeing that Jesus is the Prince of Peace. Make your peace with God, through the blood of the New Covenant. Jesus came to seek and to save the lost, so no matter what you have done, cry out to Jesus Lord save me. And He is our Mediator between God and man, for He will save to the uttermost all those who call upon Him. Hebrews 12:25-29 See that ye refuse not Him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused Him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from Him that speaketh from heaven: Whose voice then shook the earth but now He hath promised, saying once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of the things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. I praise God that we will soon be in His presence and be rejoicing with our loved ones who have gone before us.
#And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord how He had said unto him, Before the cock crows, thou shalt deny me thrice. Luke 22:61 Jesus is looking at Peter
The Greek word for deny is Aparneomai; for to disown. Peter had said in the upper room, though all men shall deny thee, I never shall. Jesus looking at Peter, said that before the cock crows thou shalt deny me thrice. We must have no confidence in the flesh. How could impecunious Peter deny the Lord that saved him from walking on the water, seeing the waves, crying out Lord save me, and Jesus reach into the waters and save him? We do not know what we will do when the chips are down, as Jesus had washed all the disciples' feet, and Jesus said the shepherd shall be smitten, and the sheep shall be scattered. And after a little while another saw him, and said, thou art also of them, And Peter said, Man, I am not. And about the space of one hour after another affirmed confidently saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with Him: for he is a Galilaean. And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he spake, the cock crew. And Peter went out and wept bitterly. What a tragedy to deny the Lord three times, Peter is humbled and cries. I remember when I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my Personal Savior, I said I wanted to be a good Christian. Well, I too failed, for I was tempted, and fell into sin and had to repent, and the Lord forgave me. I can understand how Peter can weep over his sin, for Jesus is looking at Peter, and Peter knows he has failed the Lord. Thank God that He is the God of second chances. Jesus after His resurrection was looking at Peter having breakfast on the beach and Jesus cried out Peter hast thou any meat? Peter answered yes Lord so Jesus had breakfast with Peter. And after eating, Jesus asked Peter, lovest thou Me more than these? Peter answered yes Lord. Then Jesus said feed my lambs. Jesus asked again lovest thou Me? Peter answered yes Lord thou knowest, Jesus said feed my sheep. And Jesus asked a third time Peter lovest thou Me? Peter was angry and said yes Lord. Jesus tells Peter that when he is old, they will take him where he would not want to go. Jesus is telling Peter that he will die for Me. For it is told that Peter was crucified upside down. Thank God He gives us a second chance to do the will of God, for on Pentecost, Peter preached the gospel and over 3000 were saved, Jesus had told Peter on this Rock I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail. Thank God that we will win, and just remember as Jesus is looking at Peter, He is looking at you and me. Let us go forth praising the Lord and doing those things that are pleasing in His sight.
