Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him, and said of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile. John 1:47

The Greek word for guile is Dolos, meaning no trick, or craft, or subtilty. Now Phillip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found Him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of Joseph. And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see. Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee. Nathanael answered and said unto Him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel. Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? Thou shalt see greater things than these.

Jesus knows our hearts, and He knew Nathanael was a true man who told the truth, and because of it said a man in whom is no guile, how we need more men like Nathanael. When you asked a question of Nathanael, he told you the truth, and that is what we need in the world today. So Jesus points out his sincerity and tells him, 'You shall see greater things than these,' Because he believed in the Lord Jesus Christ. When you look for guine people, look for a Nathanael. I have talked to many people, and have yet to find one like Nathanael. What a compliment by the Lord, to say that about a man. I pray that more people will emulate Nathanael and be true men of God.

  • #I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. Psalms 139:14

The Hebrew word for praise is Yadah, meaning to revere or worship or to bemoan. If I say, surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee. For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. My substance was not hidden from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me. O God! how great is the sum of them!

I will praise thee, O God! for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I thank thee, Lord, for watching over me in my mother's womb. Today, the most dangerous place for a baby is in his mother's womb. Thank God that the darkness hideth not from thee, for the darkness and the light are both alike unto thee. I will praise thee forevermore, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, and I thank you, Lord, for seeing my substance, yet being unperfect, I am written in thy book all my members were fashioned. Please Lord watch over me, when my time is up and I shall return to thee, my maker. Hide me in your bosom, and keep me under the shadow of thy wings. For I shall yet praise thee, for going to the cross to pay for all my sins, and now I am perfect in your sight. Teach me to number my days, so that I know the measure of them. Then when thou calls me home, let me sit at thy feet praising thee forever.

  • #Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to Him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring fruit unto God.  Romans 7:4  We are married to Jesus Christ

The Greek word for dead is Nekros, meaning a corpse. Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? For the woman who hath a husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. So then, if, while her husband lives, she is married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress; but if her husband is dead, she is free from that law, so that she is no adulteress, though she is married to another man. For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

We are married to Jesus Christ, and therefore not bound by the law of sin and death. What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. Therefore, we are bound to the Lord Jesus Christ, who is our Mediator to God. We must now live by the Spirit which dwells in us by faith in the word of God. We are no longer a corpse under the law, since the law was our school master until Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins. Now we are married to Jesus Christ and walk in the Spirit, so we do not yield to the lust of the flesh. The law was holy and just, and only the Lord Jesus Christ could keep it; that is why we are married to Jesus Christ, our propitiation. Jesus, who knew no sin, was made sin for us on the cross, so that we could receive His righteousness, which is by faith in His shed blood.

  • #Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise Him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God. Psalms 42:11  Hope thou in God

The Hebrew word for hope is Yachal, meaning to wait, to be patient, be pained, stay, and trust. Hope thou in God. Yet the LORD will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life. I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? Why am I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God?

Hope thou in God, for I shall yet praise Him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God. Even though I have a mental illness, I will hope thou in God, who is the health of my countenance. Paul had the thorn in the flesh, and he prayed to God three times to take it away, but Jesus said My grace is sufficient, my strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore, will I glory in my infirmities, for when I am weak I am strong. God is my light and my salvation; when my enemies come upon me to eat up my flesh, they will stumble and fail, because God is the strength of my life, and the health of my countenance. Hope thou in God, no matter what you are going through, God will make a way when there seems to be no way. I waited patiently for the Lord, and He delivered me from all my troubles. Hope thou in God, for I shall yet praise Him for He is my God and  the health of my countenance. I will sing His praises forevermore.

  • #Buried with Him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised Him from the dead. Colossians 2:12 Seek Him that is risen from the dead

    • The Greek word for baptism is Baptisma, for immersion. For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power. In whom ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath He quickened together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses. Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross. And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
    •            Therefore, seek Him that is risen from the dead, since we are raised from the dead by faith in His shed blood on the cross, and He has blotted all those ordinances that were against us, nailing them to the cross. What a blessing this is to us, for we are blameless in Him who has cleansed us and washed us in His blood. So, my brothers and sisters, let us praise God. We are no longer debtors to the flesh, but are triumphant in the Lord Jesus Christ. Let us walk in this newness of life by faith in Jesus Christ.
  • #That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. Matthew 5:45       God is good all the time

The Greek word for heaven is Ouranos, meaning to rise or rear up, through the idea of elevation in the sky. Jesus is teaching the Sermon on the Mount. Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away. Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? Do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? Do not even the publicans so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

God is good all the time, and we have asked Why do bad things happen to good people? It is because God maketh His sun to rise on the evil and the good. and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. It is not for us to question the goodness of the Lord, but we must be perfect as He is perfect. What does that mean? It means when we are mature in our faith, we can love as God loves and do good as God does good. I ask why so many good things happen to bad people? It is because God is good all the time, and we must be imitators of God and be good also. When we do what God has commanded us to do, we prove that we are children of God and have passed from death to life.

God is good all the time, and we, too, must be good to all people, even those who hate us and despitefully use us. For God will reward us when we get to heaven. For if we only love those who love us, then what reward do we have? Even the publicans or tax collectors do the same. God is light, and there is no darkness in Him, so we, as children of light, must walk in the light as He is in the light, and the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, cleanses us of all sin.

  • #Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou makest thy flock to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions? Song of Solomon 1:7 Where is my Beloved?

The Hebrew word for loveth is Ahab, meaning to have affection for, like a friend. Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee. We will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee. I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon. Where is my Beloved? Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept. Where is my Beloved? This is a picture of the love that Jesus has for the church, and He is seeking after her in the vineyard. If thou know not, O thou fairest among women, go thy way forth by the footsteps of the flock, and feed thy kids beside the shepherd's tents. I have compared thee, O my love, to a company of horses in Pharaoh's chariots. Thy cheeks are comely with rows of jewels, thy neck with chains of gold.

Where is my Beloved? Solomon is in love with the Shulamite wife, and although she is black, he is still searching for her. Black is beautiful, and we should not feel ashamed of being black. Because the sun hath looked upon me. God has made us the way we are, and He loves us with an everlasting love. He sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to go to the cross, to die for our sins. We love Him, because He first loved us. So let us work in His vineyard until He comes for us. We will rejoice in the King's chambers when He comes for us. Do not think that I must change my color to dark skinned, for the Lord loves us just the way we are. I praise thee, O Lord my God, for I am beautiful in your eyes, and I will wait for thee to awake my love.

  • #The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath His way in the whirlwind and the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet. Nahum 1:3 Jehovah God is great in power

The Hebrew word for power is Koach, meaning force, in a good or bad sense. strength, substance, or ability. The burden of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite. God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on His adversaries, and He reserveth wrath for His enemies. Jehovah God is great in power and must be feared at all times. He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers. Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth. The mountains quake at Him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at His presence, yea, the world, and all that dwells therein. Who can stand before His indignation? And who can abide in the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by Him.

Jehovah God is great in power, and it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Jonah had preached the message of judgment, and the Ninevites repented, but now a generation has forgotten the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Now, Jehovah God is angry with those Ninevites for returning to their former sins. God uses hurricanes to show His power, and the clouds are the dust of His feet. Vengeance is for the Lord, and He shall repay. Jehovah God is great in power and will not at all acquit the wicked. Return to the Lord the glory due His name, and fall before Him in praise, for He is jealous, and is furious. The Lord will take vengeance on His adversaries. Oh Lord, in wrath, remember mercy, and call upon Him in the morning before His anger is kindled. The Lord is merciful and will forgive all those who call upon His name. Please have mercy on us, and forgive our sins. Give us a future and a hope in Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

  • #O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before Him, all the earth. Psalms 96:9 Holy is the LORD

The Hebrew word for worship is Shachah, meaning to prostrate in homage to royalty or God. To make obeisance and do reverence. Honor and majesty are before Him: strength and beauty are in His sanctuary. Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD the glory due unto His name: bring an offering, and come into His courts. Holy is the LORD, and worthy of all our praises. Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: He shall judge the people righteously. Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof. Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice.

Holy is the LORD God, and we will praise Him forever. For righteous and true are all of His judgments. All of creation will praise His name and clap their hands. O taste and see that the Lord is good and His mercy endures to all generations. Let us worship the Lord Jehovah in beauty and holiness, and fear before Him all the earth. Who is like unto thee, O Lord God? Let us sing His praises forevermore. Holy is the LORD, and He does all things well.

The Lord reigns and let the earth rejoice, for He shall rule in righteousness and there will be peace in the valley for thee. This poor man cried, and the Lord delivered me from all my troubles. Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice, let His praises, strength, and beauty be in His sanctuary. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

  • #Seek ye the LORD while He may be found, call ye upon him while He is near: Isaiah 55:6  Call upon the Lord

The Hebrew word for seek is Darash, for to follow, or pursuit and search diligently. Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. Call upon the Lord. Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people. Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for He hath glorified thee. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts, and let him return unto the LORD, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

Call upon the Lord. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. So diligently search and follow the Lord, for His Spirit will not always strive with man. King David, a man after God's heart, searched diligently for Him and found Him. We must do the same and turn from our wicked ways. For the Lord is ever merciful, and will abundantly pardon all those who truly repent of their sins. Call upon the Lord, and He will show you great and mighty things that thou knowest not. I have been young and now old, and not once have I seen the righteous forsaken or his seed begging bread. Call upon the Lord while He is near, and seek Him while He may be found. Follow the witness of David and receive sure mercies from the Lord.
