A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

#The other disciples, therefore, said unto Him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into His side, I will not believe. John 20:25 Doubting Thomas
The Greek word for believe, Pisteuo, means to have faith in, or concerning a person or thing, i.e., credit. Thank God for Doubting Thomas, for he gave us the encouraging words to have faith in, concerning the resurrection of our Lord. And after eight days again, His disciples were within and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. Then saith He to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands, and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side, and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto Him, My Lord and my God. It is helpful to us to have a small amount of doubt, so we can be thankful for Thomas asking the questions he did, and this gave us the irrefutable proof of the resurrection that we all needed. Then Jesus said to Thomas You believe because you have seen, but I say unto you, blessed are those who believe, who have not seen. That includes all of us. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. This is why it is so important for us to read the Word of God every day to increase our faith. Jesus was on the earth forty days after His resurrection and was seen by over five hundred brethren, and all this helped us to believe. For Christianity stands on the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, and if Christ be not risen from the grave, then our faith is in vain, and we of all men are most miserable. But now is Christ risen from the dead and become the first fruits of all those who believe. So when we get to heaven, we can thank God for Doubting Thomas, who had the courage to say what he said, and thank God that Jesus is risen from the dead.
#Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? Whom seekest thou? She supposing Him to be the gardener, saith unto Him, Sir, if thou hast borne Him hence, tell me where thou hast laid Him, and I will take Him away. Jesus said unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto Him, Rabboni, which is to say Master. John 20:15, 16 Jesus is Risen just as He said!!!
The Greek word for Rabboni, Rhabboni, for My Master. i.e., Rabboni, as an official title of honor. Jesus saith unto her, Touch Me not; for I am not yet asended to my Father; but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto My Father and your Father; and to My God, and your God. Jesus is Risen just as He said, and He must go to the mercy seat in Heaven where the Father is and present His blood as an Atonement for our sins. That is why He told Mary to touch Me not. Thank God that right now Jesus is at the right hand of the Father in heaven interceding for us. He is our High Priest, and He ever lives to make intercession for us. What a blessing it is to serve a Risen Savior, for the grave could not hold Him, for He got up, just like He said Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it again. Go tell the disciples, Mary Magdalene, you have seen the Lord. And He had spoken these things unto you. Then the same day in the evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and said unto them, Peace be unto you. Praise God, we have peace with God because Jesus has entered the Holy of Holies with His Blood for us. Now we have hope when we die that we too will be raised from the dead in the first Resurrection. Jesus is the First Fruits, and then we will follow.
#Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them. Psalms 68:19 Jesus preached to the souls in Abraham's bosom
The Hebrew word for captive is Shabah; for to transport into captivity, bring away, carry away, lead away. Jesus preached to the souls in Abraham's bosom when He died on the cross, and transferred Abraham's bosom to Paradise. That is why He told the thief on the cross today, Thou shalt be with Me in Paradise. Blessed be the Lord who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. Now, when we die, we go directly into the presence of God. When the Old Testament saints died, they went to Abraham's bosom, so Jesus had to transfer them to Paradise, and He gave gifts unto men. He was swamped while He was dead in the Garden Tomb, and thank God He did all that to make Resurrection Sunday so awesome. May the Lord bless you today to place your faith in Him so that when the time comes to die, you too will be taken into the presence of the Lord. What a mighty God we serve.
#And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. Luke 23:42 Happy Good Friday
And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on Him saying, if thou be Christ, save thyself and us. But the other answering rebuked him saying, dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this man hath done nothing amiss. The Greek word for remember is Mnaomai; for to bear in mind, i.e. recollect. The second thief on the cross knows that they deserve to be hanging on the cross, but the first one doubts that Jesus is the Christ. If you are going to receive salvation you must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with Me in paradise. And it was about the sixth hour and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. And after the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. We call it Good Friday because Jesus died on the cross for our sins. The second thief believed in this and entered paradise because of it. We need the Lord to make us Happy on Good Friday, otherwise it is just another holiday. When Jesus said Father if it be possible that this cup pass from Me? Nevertheless, not my will but thine be done. Man did his worst the first three hours on the cross, but God did His best the last three hours, for the temple's veil was torn in the midst, and Jesus became the Mediator of the New Covenant shed in His blood. Thank God that Jesus did not come down from that cross, because He loved us too much and decided to stay there as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Hebrew 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard Him; Give God the glory for loving us so much that He sent His only begotten Son into this world to die on the cross for our sins, and for that it is Happy Good Friday. Isaiah 12:2 Behold God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; He also is become my salvation.
#If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. John 13:14 Happy foot washing Day
The Greek word for Master is Didaskalos; for a teacher, a doctor, an instructor. Jesus taught His disciples many things and this is the most humble thing He taught them. For He knew who should betray Him; therefore said He, Ye are not all clean, speaking of Judas Iscariot, So after he had washed their feet, and taken His garments, and was set down again, He said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? Ye call me Master and Lord, and ye say well; for so I am. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither He that is sent greater than He that sent Him. If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them. Happy foot washing Day, as our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has taught us how to humble ourselves as a slave and serve one another by washing their feet. He even washed the feet of the one who would betray Him. This teaches us not to discriminate against any one, even our fake brothers and sisters. Is there someone in your life who needs their feet washed? Then Jesus has told us that He as our doctor and instructor has done it, then so should we to one another. There are many hurting people today, with The cuts in the federal workforce, and many are finding themselves homeless, and looking for another job. Go out and find that one and wash their feet, and be a friend to the friendless. Love on the homeless, for Jesus said when you have done this unto the less of them, you have done it unto Me. What a joy it will be when we get to heaven and see all the people who accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Master all because we were faithful to wash their feet. May the Lord teach you how to humble yourself and do unto others as you would have them to do unto you. Peter did not want the Lord to wash his feet, and Jesus said he that is washed, need only his feet cleaned. It is telling us that in a dirty world that we have to walk in, our feet will get dirty, and we need a foot washing time so that we can be restored in the faith. Jesus is about to go to the cross, and this is His last act of kindness that He will do to them. We will be well advised to do the same, for we do not know when the Lord shall come again, or call us home. So let us have a Happy foot washing Day to commemorate all that the Lord has done for us.
#Moreover, the law entered, that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: Romans 5:20
The Greek word for abounded is Pleonazo; for to do, make, or be more, i.e., increase. To superabound, or make to increase. For if by one man's offense death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. Therefore, as by the offense of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ. For what the law could not do for us, Jesus fulfilled on the cross. For the just shall live by faith. And he that comes to God must believe that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. As in Adam all have been made to sin, so in the last Adam, the Lord Jesus Christ, many are made righteous by faith. The law was our school master to take us to Christ by revealing our sin. Thank God Jesus fulfilled the law and became our mediator of the New Covenant, which was shed in His blood. This is why we have life in His name. For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sin. That is why the Lord Jesus cried out Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not My will, but thine be done. Jesus humbled Himself to death on the cross, so that by grace we are saved through faith, and not of works, lest any man should boast. Therefore, let us go outside the camp bearing the suffering of Christ, for He died once for our sins, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven, interceding for us. Shall we continue to sin? God forbid, I am crucified with Christ, therefore I no longer live, but this life that I live is by faith in the Son of God who loved me, and gave Himself for me. I pray that you will accept this gift of God, in Jesus Christ, and be reconciled to God.
#And the Pharisees came to Him, and asked Him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting Him. Mark 10:2
The Greek word for Lawful is Exesti; for impersonally, it is right through the figurative idea of being out in public. The Pharisees are tempting Jesus to see what is right to put away one's wife. And He answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you? And they said Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement and to put her away. And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. God hates divorce and there are only two grounds for divorce: Adultery and abandonment. The Greek word for tempting is Peirazo; for to test, assay, examine, or go about to prove. Thou shalt not tempt the Lord God, as the Pharisees are doing. God has said what therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder. Marriage is honorable in all and the bed undefiled, but adulterers and fornicators shall be judged. As we prepare to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord, let us resurrect our marriages. Husbands love your wives, as Christ hast loved the Church, Wives respect your husbands and submit to one another in the fear of the Lord. This is how we resurrect our marriages and will be rewarded in heaven for being faithful and true to our vows. It is not easy to keep your wedding vows, but in keeping them there is great reward. 2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye, not your own selves, How that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? Jesus has taught us what marriage is all about and how a man is to leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. This is how we prove that we are not reprobates, but are following the commands of the Lord. It is my prayer that everyone reading this blog will seek to do the Lord's will and be true to your marriage and the Lord will bless you. For in heaven, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but they are like angels. So enjoy your spouse here and now, for you will be friends forever in heaven.
#Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 2 Timothy 3:5 Beware of the ungodly
Happy Holy Week as we are on a journey to celebrate the passion of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Greek word for Form; is Morphosis; for formation and appearance. For of this sort are they which creep into houses and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts. Ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the truth. Beware of the ungodly, Jesus has just made His triumphant entry into Jerusalem, and He will be crucified on Good Friday for our sins. False people surround us and must beware of the ungodly, who seem to have a form of godliness, but deny the power. Paul tells us to turn away from such things. We are living in the last days before the second coming of Christ, and the scriptures tell us that perilous times shall come, for men will be lovers of themselves, ungodly, unholy, covenant. breakers. Yet the most difficult are the ones having a form of godliness. We are attracted to people like this, who will celebrate Holy Week and appear to be godly, but inwardly they are corrupt and covetous. Paul said they will deny the power, seeing they are pretending to serve the Lord, and from such we must turn away, lest we learn their ways. For they resist the truth and creep into houses and lead astray silly women laden with sins away with diverse lusts. Ye have not so learned Jesus Christ for He taught us how to live and to keep ourselves from the corruption of this world. Jesus told us that if we are to be His disciples, we must deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow Him. Beware of the ungodly for their form is deceiving, but they lack the power to live this consecrated life. Jesus said if the world hated Me, they would hate you. So be on guard and sanctify the Lord in your hearts, and turn away from those who lack the power indwelling you by the Holy Spirit. Jesus said when I go, I will not leave you as orphans, but not many days ye shall be filled with power. Thank God for this power from above that allows us to live a godly life and live by the Sermon on the Mount. We must judge not, but we can be a fruit inspector. Jesus said we will know them by their fruits. So when you do not see the fruit of self-control in their lives, then turn away from them and Beware of the ungodly.
#Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto Me. Matthew 21:2 Jesus rides humbly on an ass into Jerusalem
The Greek word for Ass is Anos; for a donkey. We do not use that nomenclature in today's verbiage, but Jesus rides humbly on an ass into Jerusalem. And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem and were come to Bethphage, unto the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, and if any man ought unto you, ye shall say The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them. All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, the King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass. Jesus left the Ivory Palaces in Heaven to come to this earth to become a man, and as the Prophet said, behold thy King cometh unto thee meek and sitting upon an ass, the colt the foal of an ass. We know that Israel wanted Jesus to come in Pomp and take care of Rome and set up His Kingdom, but when they saw Him so meek and lowly riding an ass into Jerusalem, instead of taking over they would five days be shouting crucify Him, for we have no King but Caesar. Happy Palm Sunday for the Lord Jesus taught us that meekness is not weakness, but strength under control. The children would shout out Hosanna in the Highest!!! Then the money changers would be selling doves in the temple, and when Jesus saw it, He said my house should be called a house of prayer, but you have turned it into a den of robbers. Then Jesus overturned the tables. We need to open our mouths and praise the Lord for if we do not cry out, the very rocks will. This Palm Sunday let Jesus into your heart as your personal Savior for He is now seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven making intersession for you and me. Oh praise His name with me today
#Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labor and fellow soldier, but your messenger and he ministered to my wants. Philippians 2:25 Remember those who labor in the Lord
The Greek word for messenger is Apostolos, which means delegate, ambassador of the gospel, and commissioner of Christ. We must remember those who labor in the Lord, such as Epaphroditus who was nigh unto death. Paul called him my brother and companion in labor. Jesus told us we must do His works while it is day, for when the night comes no man can work. I thank God for all those who have come before us, teaching us how to labor in the Lord. For indeed he was sick nigh unto death, but God had mercy on him; and not him only but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow. I sent him therefore the more carefully, that when ye see him again, ye may rejoice and that I may be less sorrowful. Paul was touched by the labor of love of Epaphroditus and we too should be touched. For God would not have us ignorant of those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an arc-angel and the dead in Christ shall be raised first, then we who are alive and remain will be changed in the twinkling of an eye and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Let us comfort one another with these words knowing that God has a body for us waiting in heaven for us when we pass on. So let us remember those who labor in the Lord, for our labor is not in vain even though we may be nigh unto death. Jesus will reward us when He comes in the clouds to receive us in the air, so let us rejoice and be less sorrowful.
